And that’s exactly why....

...just take my code. I'm offering it because I want that $5 bonus; I couldn't care less about your financial well-being, but regardless, you'll still get $5 from PayPal, so it's a wash.

Also, I'm not promising any extra $10, $20, or even $10 from my end for two reasons: 1) I can't be bothered dealing with follow-up payouts, and 2) I'm keeping that $3.25 for myself. 😁

Since there's zero risk of you losing out on anything promised—mostly because I'm promising nothing—feel free to use this no-risk code below:

EDIT: This takes me back. This whole struggle for five bucks reminds me of being in elementary school, fighting over the same girl while some other kid was already making moves on her 😁

I’m starting this thread so we don't clutter up the other discussions. Use this space to share your referral codes where you both snag a $5 credit, $17, free shipping on card deliveries, and whatever else is currently running.

To’s pocket change for the big banks. Anything under $200k doesn't even register on their radar, so $40,000 is basically rounding error to them. 😁 Most people just use Venmo for stuff like $17 paying someone back after a friend covers your ticket or something similar.

They probably aren't even looking at those tiny little transactions you make for yourself; at the end of the day, it's all just profit for them, whether you're moving money around personally or sending it to someone else. Their main interest is simply keeping people using the app. When we're talking about such small amounts, I highly doubt anyone is actually paying attention.

Thanks!
The real question is how much of a legal issue this actually is. The most problematic scenario would be adding someone else's card to your own Venmo account and paying with their funds. But here, the sender is Goldman Sachs, and the account number is just the destination for the transfer...

In this specific case, I'm using my own card to pay.

I've got Venmo set up with my card from Bank A. I also have a checking account over at Bank B. I’m just trying to move some cash from one to the other myself. Is it actually okay if I text my sister the IBAN for my Bank B account, put it into her Venmo, and list her as the recipient? If I send the money to her that way, will it basically just end up back in my own account?

For example, I have an account at the Federal Reserve and another at JPMorgan Chase.
I want to transfer $33 from the Federal Reserve to JPMorgan Chase.

If I give my sister my JPMorgan Chase account info for her Venmo and set it as the destination...
I send the Venmo to my sister $33, and then the funds land in my JPMorgan Chase account.

I'm just looking for the easiest way to move money without getting hit by fees. I really don't feel like dealing with the hassle of using two different phone numbers, and you can't exactly send money to yourself within Venmo...
If someone sends me a small package via General Delivery to my local post office, and it sits there for about 10 days waiting for me to pick it up, how much am I actually looking at when I show up? Is there some kind of fee the recipient has to cover, or does the USPS charge a storage fee for letting it sit there?
Thanks, I really appreciate it. 🙂 I was pretty convinced it wasn't from China because of the US label, so the only thing left is some kind of made-up fine. 😁

Thanks.

Are you absolutely sure about that? Because if they hadn't left that little yellow slip, I would’ve had to show up there and shell out $0.70 just to find out what was going on.

So, does this mean they have a trick where they slap their own PPXXXXXXXXUS number on these tiny packages? I'm actually waiting on a small parcel from China right now that was sent without any tracking, and this number ending in US has me completely thrown off.
I got one of those little yellow slips left on my door because nobody was home, so now I have to trek down to the post office tomorrow to deal with it.

Anyway, the tracking number on it starts with PP XXXXXXXXX US. I'm wondering what that "PP" actually stands for—usually, I see "RB," so I'm starting to worry this might be some kind of fine or citation, which is definitely not how I wanted to spend my week. Does anyone know if they use that specific tracking prefix for penalties?
