So, here's my final take... I think I'm just gonna go with a hardtail. Or maybe a front suspension setup, but only if the fork actually locks out properly. Honestly, if I aim for something in that $1,100 range, I should be able to snag a ride that’s actually decent quality and way lighter than those cheap junkers you see everywhere. Once I pull the trigger and get it, I'll post a pic. 👍
Thanks to everyone for all the advice 👍

Look, I didn't mean that literally... I was just speaking hypothetically... 😁
Look, I just wanted to point out that compared to my old 15-year-old mountain bike—you know, one of those clunkers with the 26-inch wheels—it takes me way longer to cover the same distance than it does on my new ride... which isn't even an MTB with those massive, heavy tires. Just night and day...

The guy is constantly out on his bike—way more than I am—so I figured he probably knew what he was talking about... but then again, everything's relative, right? For some people, a rigid frame might actually feel way too harsh without any suspension...
Alright, thanks for the input.

I’m 36 right now, so I'd say I'm in my prime... 😁

Currently, I've got this old 26'' MTB that lets me knock out 5037 miles in about 2 hours. I'm thinking if I picked up something like a Square Inc. road race from 2020 https://www.cube.eu/en/2019/bikes/ro...ckngreen-2019/, I could probably smash that 62 miles in maybe 2 to 2.5 hours...
Plus, this would be my first bike with a rigid fork in basically two decades...
I haven't seen anyone talking about this specific situation, so I figured I'd just throw it out there... look... a buddy of mine is trying to convince me that bikes without front suspension aren't even an option because they'll "wreck" your wrists...
-but then again, a rigid bike is faster and lighter (plus way less maintenance since you don't have shocks to mess with), so now I'm stuck second-guessing which way to go...
-I've been eyeing some hybrid models around the $1,100 mark

Thanks.

Thanks for the info!

Best,

-Does anyone actually know what the retail prices look like over there, especially if you're looking at standard gear? Is it even worth making the trip? I'm wondering if I can bring stuff back without getting hammered by customs and all that nonsense... specifically thinking about an SSD for my OS plus a 4TB portable drive for extra storage.
-Secondary question: how do they handle personal electronics like phones, tablets, or laptops when going through airport security and everything else...

THANKS

Look, if it was working perfectly fine on another rig, then you might be looking at a motherboard issue on your end. Try plugging that PS/2 connector directly into the motherboard and see what happens... Honestly, the best move is to just test it on a third computer altogether. If it works there too, then you know for a fact the keyboard isn't the culprit!
