Requesting a permanent ban in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, I’m actually reaching out to request that one of the moderators issue a permanent ban on my account.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Go ahead and study whatever you want—you could even pick up Swahili if that’s your thing.

The only thing I know for sure is that my kids won't be interested, and there isn't a damn thing I can do about that. ☕

But seriously, maybe try mastering your own language first.

It’s pretty interesting how you didn't bother educating your child when they asked what was written. You didn't explain that alongside the Latin alphabet, there’s another script used by various European nations.

Terms like "Pupovac's script" or calling it a "foreign language" really say more about you than anyone else.
Does seeing that script actually make you sick?

Because here I am, writing in that "foreign language"—and we understand each other perfectly fine. Besides, it's not a foreign language; it's just a different script.

Daniel Ward87 said:As far as I can tell, you gave me exactly one warning for trolling due to airworthiness—which I totally deserved—and the mods and admins can verify that. So, just so we're clear, this post of yours counts as trolling.

Look, it's fine, Daniel Ward87—if I got a warning from you for trolling due to airworthiness, then there’s really no issue here.
If I earned it, then I earned it.

But you absolutely cannot lump legitimate criticism under the category of "trolling."

The real problem is that the people who actually deserve warnings or bans—people who basically do it on a daily basis with their posts—aren't being penalized at all.
For some reason, they're allowed to run wild across the forum saying whatever they want.

Just look at the time you banned that user for trolling due to airworthiness while they were arguing with Wikipedia and Ludwig.
Those two didn't get hit with anything, even though they broke the rules way more often.
I asked you, "Why didn't you ban Wikipedia too?" and I never got an answer.

I’m not usually one to complain, but honestly, I have to say something now.

I have a question—is it actually possible for users on Wikiceh and Ludwig to get banned, or do they just have some kind of special protection from certain moderators over on the History Forum?

But seriously, I’m asking.

Okay, look, I probably deserved a warning—maybe even a full ban—just yesterday because I used some slightly sharper language during that enrollment discussion we were all talking about.
But is it really okay for someone to insult people, troll, and post complete nonsense (all without providing a single source!) and just walk away without any consequences?
It’s been like this since the day I registered, and honestly, even before that when I was just dropping by the forum occasionally.
Just take a look at the posts from yesterday and today.

How are we supposed to moderate ourselves? How am I supposed to not respond to pure idiocy when my only intention is to have a civil, respectful debate?
Surely, you guys exist to handle exactly this sort of thing.

The last time I tried to have a polite conversation on a thread, a certain user didn't even have an answer—he just ignored my question (because he clearly realized he had no clue what he was talking about) and immediately pivoted to nonsense like "Mexicans are just a mix of Americans, Bulgarians, Albanians, and Wallachians" and so on (since he doesn't know anything better).

And if I start responding at his level, they’ll just bury you with complaints that *I'm* the troll, and then, most likely, moderator Uncle Strilet will end up banning me. Because, imagine—they combined have 40,000 posts, while I'm just some outsider who came here to troll Americans.

I know this because I've already seen Uncle Strilet handle things that way.
Help needed! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’d like to ask the moderators—or just the mod team in general—if you could find some time in the near future to take a closer look at the "History and Historical Topics" section.
It really needs a bit of a cleanup and some actual enforcement of the rules.
Right now, it feels like the Wild West over there—people are veering wildly off-topic, and the level of hostility is massive, especially when it comes to insults based on national identity.
It seems like every single new thread gets hijacked by a handful of users who just refuse to stay on track.

Anyway, thanks for everything!

Look, I’ll set aside all that ideological nonsense for a second—but I actually agree with this point here.

Hey, Moderator @nasmijanonebo—if I'm being honest, I've noticed that posts often just vanish without any explanation if they don't fit the narrative.
I'll come back to check out the replies to something I wrote earlier, only to find... nothing. Just empty space where my comments used to be.
It’s not like I was dropping curse words or getting personal, either; I tried my absolute best to stay strictly on topic.

For instance, a question I posted regarding those CIA executions back in the spring and summer of 1945 was wiped clean—and that is the entire point of the discussion!
Meanwhile, you have users like @driftingorca16/">@@driftingorca16 who are allowed to ramble on about whatever random nonsense they want—stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with the CIA or that specific window in 1945. It's miles off track.
