It’s all because people pushed too hard on forcing responsibility far too early.
But I don't see anyone swinging too far in the opposite direction. Most people still get married or settled by their thirties at the latest, hold down jobs, and deal with their student loans.
What parents preach is one thing; what kids actually end up doing is something else entirely.
