It’s the exact same scenario I witnessed firsthand. 👍
This trend isn't slowing down. I know four guys who burned through $200-186 miles on their bikes this past Saturday alone. No permits, no nothing.
Not a single one of us got slapped with a fine.
And believe me, we all got pulled over and ID'd at least once...

Oh, and nobody was even told to turn back. We all just cruised right along our planned routes after the cops finished checking our IDs.

We weren't riding in a pack, either. Just swapped stories once we were off the road. 👍

Weather wasn't cooperating, so plans changed.

There are always those little birds hovering near the checkpoints. I could have just cruised home without stopping, but I detoured through Indianapolis specifically to see what they had to say...
They asked where I was coming from, and once I gave them the route, they just laughed and wished me luck.

Right as I pulled up, some guy heading the opposite way—toward the Indy entrance—tried to pass without a permit. They checked his ID and let him right through.

Susan Barrett2 said:Quick question for everyone on this thread. Has anyone actually tried to bypass a checkpoint without a pass and had the cops turn them away? Looking for real, confirmed cases here—not just "he said, she said" rumors.

Read above.
If you show up at a checkpoint without a permit, they’ll log you in some internal registry—God knows what for—and if things go south, they’ll ban you from passing further...
Just give them a polite nod, turn around, and find an alternative route. 😉

I'm not heading to St....but I am definitely making my way toward the coast.

I don't see any reason why I wouldn't make it to where I intended. 😁
I've never had issues with the police. They just follow orders. If they won't let me pass here, there's always a workaround. 👍

If they stick to the letter of the law, they have no grounds to fine me...
I'm aware of that, but I'm trying to show others that it's okay to drive just a few towns over to see a partner. 🤦
We can't just let them strip away our rights like that.
Melissa Collins3 said:They’ll tell you straight up that you aren't allowed into Split.

Fine, that much is obvious.
And let's say they tell me to turn around—if I head back toward Vž, I’ll probably run into the exact same mess in Knin.
Will they actually let me pass through Knin to reach Vž, or will I be hunting for side roads just to dodge the police again?🤣

Charles Fox10 said:Why on earth would you come to Split? Is this really the best time for a visit?😁

I only mentioned Split as an example.
But since you asked, the plan for tomorrow is to tear up a two-wheeler on what's arguably the best motorcycle route in America.
Just testing the waters and encouraging others to try similar stunts.

Just to clarify regarding the "loner" thing. Wherever I go, I'll be on my own. The only time I'll interact with anyone is when I pull into a gas station to fuel up. And I don't see any issue with that; if I can function normally among crowds every day, I can certainly ride a bike by myself.☕
Obviously, I’m not going to get into an argument or just stand there waiting for orders.
I'd politely chat with the cops, wish them a nice day, and look for an alternative route to continue my trip...

And what would the penalty be for that? 🤔
Or, what would actually happen if I were driving from Varazdin down to Split, for instance, and got pulled over without a permit?

These measures were put in place to stop the spread of the virus as much as possible, not to mess with anyone for fun.

When will it end? When we see a decrease in new cases for several days in a row.

Started what? You might want to check the news—there haven't been any new infections in Istria over the last two days. And keep in mind, that decision isn't even at the local level; it's coming from the national government.

I don't see many options besides paying it. You could go to court and try your luck seeing if some judge takes pity on you, but the odds are slim. Most likely, you'll just end up paying the full amount plus legal fees.

I just don't get why all those highly successful expats suddenly decided to move back home. Was it maybe because they got kicked into high gear by all that supposed "financial stability" abroad?

That logic is completely flawed.

Just dissected your post, sorry...

What fine specifically? For leaving your primary residence? 🤔
How much is the penalty for an infraction like that?

Not trying to be provocative, I'm genuinely asking what the fine formulation would look like and on what grounds it would even be issued.

depends on what you're actually eating

you'd be better off hitting up a fitness forum and reading the entire FAQ

Fine, thanks... so you're saying protein alone won't do much if my diet isn't totally balanced?

Hold on. Now I'm confused. Are we talking about total food volume, or the specific macros—protein, carbs, etc.—inside that food?

So, besides eating right, what else is actually required?

Also, anyone got a link for this whey stuff?

Alright, please let me know if anyone actually knows their stuff here.

So, I'm fifteen. I row every single day for about an hour and a half to two hours. Weighing in at 165 lbs... I haven't touched protein supplements yet, so I'm wondering which one would be the best bet for building some muscle mass. Thanks.
