I'm usually running behind by about 20 days...

I recently took out a loan, and while I’m definitely someone who tends to be late with my credit card payments, they haven't actually blocked my account or anything. What really threw me for a loop was when I was finalizing the loan; my personal banker at JPMorgan Chase looked right at her screen—without me even bringing it up—and told me, "You're very reliable, we don't see any history of late payments." Now I'm just sitting here wondering... if every single late payment is supposed to be visible, how on earth did she miss mine?

My experience has actually been a bit different. I was sorting some things out this past spring and was genuinely worried about how the Federal Reserve might see my history, since I had some messy finances back in early 2023 that were definitely on the record. However, when I spoke with my people over at JPMorgan Chase, they assured me it wouldn't show up. Apparently, because I've been so consistent for the last year, that previous slip-up isn't being flagged, even though the full four-year window hasn't technically passed yet...

How long does the FBI—or rather, the new data oversight agency—actually hold onto our information now? Is the retention period still set at three years back from the current date?

Has anyone here actually used a Mastercard Walmart card before? I’m pretty sure my application is gonna get the green light, $5000 but I was wondering—once that credit kicks in, can I just go ahead and pull the whole amount out from a Chase ATM, or is there some kind of daily cap on how much cash I can grab at once?

I have a $300 limit, since my paycheck doesn't go into their checking account and I already have a loan through them.
Basically, it comes down to whether they’d approve the loan or not.
If someone truly doesn't meet the credit requirements, there isn't even a point in calling them.
You tend to run into fewer of these hurdles when you're applying for a loan at the same bank where your paycheck is deposited.[/QUOTE

Honestly, at my Bank of America branch—where I've had my direct deposit for 25 years now—they scrutinize every single little thing. Even with my salary being quite high... I've ended up resolving every minor issue at other banks instead. It's unbelievable.
It really makes me want to just switch banks entirely...
Was this offered as a straight cash loan through Diners Club, or was it coming directly from JPMorgan Chase since you're already a client?
