How do I know if I'm trans? in Psychology ·
frozenfox84 said:Good day.

I’m looking for some clarity—is there any way to know for certain if one is transgender? I haven't quite figured myself out yet. I'm a 20-year-old male... I don't exactly feel like a woman, but I don't feel like a man either. Being a man doesn't sit right with me, though I can't say for sure if being a woman would feel any better. I have an affinity for feminine things—cosmetics, makeup, heels—but the physical aspect, like having breasts or a vagina, remains a total unknown to me. Honestly, the confusion is becoming exhausting. I could use some guidance.

Thanks in advance. 😍

P.s. Leave the homophobia and sarcasm at the door—I won't be dignifying those comments with a response. 🙄

Look, these are heavy, life-altering issues, and truthfully, nobody on an online forum like this is equipped to give you the guidance you need. You should reach out to a professional counselor or, if you're religious, go talk to a priest at your local church. Seriously—both of those paths will provide much more stability and support than anything we can offer here.

Right now, it’s basically just mirroring everything—whatever I’ve got running on my PC shows up on the TV too.
Can you walk me through how that actually works?

I'm running a GTX 1060, $533 😁 so it should be decent enough,

I'm not entirely sure which sub I should be posting this in, so I'll just drop it here under Hardware.

Is it actually possible to set up my PC with a TV via HDMI so they act as two separate displays? Basically, I want to have a movie playing on the TV while I'm simultaneously doing other things on my computer monitor—like browsing Reddit or hanging out on a forum, for example.

Bryan Edwards83 said:Why do people feel this need to be so mean to one another? Like, why the constant urge to belittle others or hide behind all that irony and sarcasm?

Is it just some kind of defense mechanism, I guess? Or do you think it’s just how people are wired, or maybe it's caused by something else entirely?

I honestly believe there are several different motivations at play here, depending on the individual. Some people act out because they are genuinely terrified of others, so they lash out aggressively. It’s like those little dogs that bark incessantly—it’s purely because they’re scared. Another reason is that they actually feel better about their own miserable lives when they manage to humiliate someone else. They are deeply unhappy souls. More often than not, they were treated poorly themselves, perhaps even facing cruelty from their own parents growing up. Then, of course, there is the third possibility: pure, unadulterated malice—they simply want to cause pain.
