Unfortunately, I haven't found anything I actually love at Nicole's... It feels like everything there follows the exact same template: a sweetheart corset on top paired with a massive, huge crinoline skirt. Don't get me wrong, there are beautiful dresses in there, but they just aren't my style!

If you decide to rent a gown from Isabel, my best advice is to pay the full rental fee upfront right away. If you don't, the price can jump significantly by the time you actually return the dress compared to what you originally agreed upon... yeah, it'll be more expensive. 🙂
A few of my coworkers and friends have already been burned by that exact situation, so I decided to steer clear of that shop entirely.

dustytinker58 said:It really depends on how you define "simple"... personally, when I look at Nicole's style, I don't see much that qualifies as simple. A lot of her pieces feel a bit tacky to me—heavy on the rhinestones and ruffles! But if you're saying the sales clerks are friendly and sweet? Yeah, I definitely agree with you there!

Oh, come on, there actually are some simple options out there! I actually came across one the other day that didn't have any obnoxious crystals or crazy ruffles attached to it.
It had this gorgeous bodice that transitioned into a corset style with horizontal pleats, almost like the fabric was folded every two inches, and the skirt was just a full A-line made entirely of tulle... plus, since it's so clean, you could always add some Swarovski crystals if you felt like it, or just leave it totally plain.

So yeah, they definitely have some simple styles if you know where to look!

Which bridal boutiques are actually worth visiting? My wedding is only three months away and I haven't even had a chance to try on a single dress yet!

Thanks so much for all the help!

You should totally check out Nicole's salon over in Des Moines—she’ll make you feel like absolute royalty and will basically drop everything just to take care of you right then and there... you definitely won't regret it!

I actually know some of the guys over at Zoom personally, and I honestly can't say enough good things about them...

Just... one little heads-up for anyone interested... they used to work with Andrej Car too, and he was paid extra because his style is totally different—he does these incredibly detailed, full-on artistic paintings. So, if anyone's looking for that kind of high-end work, definitely feel free to look him up...

You might be able to find some at a few local florists over in Des Moines.
I’d definitely try checking out Palm Springs—I know for a fact that Stella carries them...

I’m actually hitting up Indy to pick out a wedding dress, so I might as well swing by Walmart while I'm at it. It didn't even cross my mind otherwise. I checked out Bubba, but I really want something closer to home. Oh, and yeah—I'm looking for those tiny little bottles, you know? Like, maybe they'll hold about an ounce or so?

If you're set on getting them from Bubba, we could totally work something out where they ship them to Savannah and then you could just grab them there... my folks head down that way once a week to pick up supplies, so I could easily bring them along for you on my way through.

Anyway, saying "everyone" got screwed is kind of funny... I mean, people who actually used them would know if they got ripped off or not...
Just check their Facebook page. Look at the photos and how happy the couples look. Bottom line: the price is definitely overkill, but if someone can afford to drop that kind of money on photos, hey, why not...😕

The shots themselves are great, they have really creative ideas, and their editing process is even better...

But if you look at what else is available in Chicago for way less than $7333 then it's pretty obvious they're overpriced.

Did you end up getting a wedding album?

Back when I was 18, $0.00 I had everything—the second-day shoot, thank-you cards, the wedding album, and the most massive equipment packages for both filming and photography...

But with Leo, you don't even get to pick and choose what you want... everything is bundled into one price whether you need it or not!

urbanpanther18 said:I'd suggest Leon Productions out of Indianapolis. We were super happy with them, especially the photos—honestly, everyone we showed them to loved them too. They really know their stuff😉 and the price was pretty solid, too.

Well, Leon actually charged me 22 $0.00 and I still don't even have my wedding album yet! For that kind of money, I feel like I'm stuck waiting around like he's doing me some huge favor by giving the pictures away for free!
Honestly, no thanks.
I get the feeling anyone who hired him ended up getting totally burned...

What kind of info are you looking for?
I've actually been there a handful of times for weddings myself...

Melissa Grant69 said:Hey guys, could anyone recommend a decent hair salon in Djako?

If you're looking to get pampered in Indianapolis, I honestly can't recommend Art Hair Studio enough! It’s right there on the main downtown strip near the Click coffee shop... Seriously, this place is incredible. I’ve been going there for years now, and I walk out feeling like a whole new person every single time.
The owner, Zdravka, is such a talented, driven woman with so many creative ideas... she actually competes in all sorts of national and even international styling competitions, so you know you're in expert hands and won't end up with a disaster!
I think they have a Facebook page if you want to browse their work, or you can just give them a call at 031/811-918 to book an appointment...
definitely let us know how it goes!
Federal Reserve - overdraft limits in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Andrew Martin13 said:I don't get how they can even offer me a credit card when my negative balance wasn't cleared until the end of October, and apparently, I have to wait at least six months just to get an overdraft line
The logic escapes me here.
It’s obvious they see more ways to bleed me dry with a card. Honestly, with interest rates this high, nobody in their right mind would touch it. My husband was being charged 5% monthly on a $5,000 limit—so roughly $83 just in interest and fees. Tell me, is that actually considered normal?

Trust me, they’ll happily hand you a shiny new credit card application, but once that request actually hits the desk of someone in the credit department, it's going to get rejected immediately!!

When it comes to being flagged on a credit blacklist, everything depends on the date you were cleared. For certain financial products, you might have to wait three whole years from that date before they'll even look at you again!!
What happens to your loans if you pass away? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Bryan Evans71 said:It’s such a heartbreakingly senseless situation. About ten years ago, a dear friend of mine took out a fifteen-year mortgage for an apartment. Only five years into that term, she passed away—so young, barely having made it through her thirties 😢—and since she was single and had no children, her parents and sister have been the ones stepping up to cover the loan payments. However, just last month, I received a notice from the bank stating there’s an outstanding balance of roughly $500. Even though they promised me over the phone that they would settle it, nothing has happened, and now I’ve been hit with a second notice. I am the primary guarantor, while her cousin serves as the secondary. It makes me wonder, strictly from a legal standpoint, do I actually have any recourse here, considering my role was to guarantee her specifically rather than her family? If her sister had been the one applying for the loan back then, there is no way I would have ever signed on as a guarantor. To make matters more confusing, I'm not even certain who officially owns the apartment now. Is there any way to resolve this? This is all involving JPMorgan Chase 😢

I'm pretty sure it works the same way with every bank—once a debtor passes away, the responsibility just shifts to the heir based on the probate rulings. They don't bother re-evaluating credit scores or anything else; they don't even change the insurance coverage. They basically just re-verify the promissory note at JPMorgan Chase under the new debtor's name!
So, unfortunately, you’re stuck being the guarantor since you already signed for that specific loan
This is so messed up... in Health ·
Guys, I’ve been feeling absolutely terrible for three days now... the thing is, I felt really awful the day before yesterday, then I just powered through yesterday by loading up on Advil, so I didn't notice how bad it actually was, but today the meds just aren't doing a thing...
My head is killing me—honestly, I can barely even turn my neck without everything hurting, and now I’m getting this intense pain right by my temples... even closing my eyes hurts... I am just completely exhausted, too... and the worst part is that once I lie down, the pain flares up, and it feels like a wave of heat is hitting my brain. Plus, I've found this weird little lump on my head, right where my hairline meets my ear....

Right now, it's really that lump that has me worried, because it just doesn't feel right at all... and my doctor isn't available to see me until Monday afternoon.. so I'm sitting here wondering if I should just head to the ER, you know??

Some people are suggesting it might be meningitis, but looking at the symptoms online, I don't think I have all the specific red flags that say you need to rush to the hospital immediately.........

What do you guys think? Have any of you ever dealt with a strange lump like this???
