This is so messed up...

Guys, I’ve been feeling absolutely terrible for three days now... the thing is, I felt really awful the day before yesterday, then I just powered through yesterday by loading up on Advil, so I didn't notice how bad it actually was, but today the meds just aren't doing a thing...
My head is killing me—honestly, I can barely even turn my neck without everything hurting, and now I’m getting this intense pain right by my temples... even closing my eyes hurts... I am just completely exhausted, too... and the worst part is that once I lie down, the pain flares up, and it feels like a wave of heat is hitting my brain. Plus, I've found this weird little lump on my head, right where my hairline meets my ear....

Right now, it's really that lump that has me worried, because it just doesn't feel right at all... and my doctor isn't available to see me until Monday afternoon.. so I'm sitting here wondering if I should just head to the ER, you know??

Some people are suggesting it might be meningitis, but looking at the symptoms online, I don't think I have all the specific red flags that say you need to rush to the hospital immediately.........

What do you guys think? Have any of you ever dealt with a strange lump like this???

Maybe some swollen lymph nodes behind your ear or something. Why don't you just head down to the ER? You'll sleep a lot better once you know what's actually going on.

I honestly think this headache might be tied to the weather—the barometric pressure has been all over the place lately, and as someone who’s a total sucker for these atmospheric shifts, I know how much they can suck.
The day before yesterday, I was basically out of commission; my face went pale from the sheer pressure in my head, and I genuinely felt like something was about to snap. What usually helps me is just laying down with a cold compress on my forehead. If you have the AC running, I’d actually suggest turning it off for a bit, because I find the sudden temperature changes just make everything worse.
Did you end up feeling nauseous too? Just a heads-up, try not to take any pills on an empty stomach.
A lot of people forget to eat when it gets this hot out. You might not even feel hungry, but your body is still burning through energy, and that lack of food can definitely make the headache much more intense.

About that bump that showed up... do you think it might be from an old injury you had?
Or maybe you bumped your head and just didn't realize it at the time?
Is it tender if you touch it? How long has it been there, and how big is it actually?

Yeah, go ahead and rush straight to the ER. I'm sure they have nothing better to do than just pump you full of painkillers and antibiotics.

If you’re still feeling this way, I’d honestly suggest just calling 911 and walking them through what’s happening,
they're really the best ones to figure this out.

It’s probably just my sinuses, so those lymph nodes have probably flared up because of the inflammation
