Credit Bureau - US Credit Report & Debt Records in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
What has been the recent experience regarding creditworthiness assessments, specifically when applying for a loan increase? How much weight are Bank of America credit cards and the ECC actually carrying in that process?

I am primarily asking about clients who have an impeccable track record—the kind clearly visible in the standard credit reporting systems. How does the bank generally calculate and potentially "reduce" one's credit capacity
based on specific card types, such as charge versus revolving accounts?

Looking back at previous discussions, it seems some people had to close their revolving lines just to boost their borrowing power. Is it true that holding charge cards,
even multiple ones, doesn't pose an issue, whereas revolving cards drag down your limit because the parent bank is directly backing that revolving credit?

When using a Diners Club card alongside PayPal, is the amount solely deducted
from my cash limit, or does it also trigger a cash advance fee?

ironcyclist58 said:That would be a massive fail. If they actually want to go toe-to-toe with those big foreign fintech players, they’d need to offer some kind of sign-on bonus or free credit...

Perhaps they will offer something similar to what Chase does—maybe three free withdrawals at other bank ATMs.

Ultimately, based on this, Cookie seems poised to become the first domestic prepaid account with a debit card that allows for easy top-ups, spending, and seamless transactions. If I recall correctly, Aircash is the closest local competitor, though they lack the physical card component.

I will never understand why institutions like Wells Fargo or Capital One haven't enabled something similar for their prepaid cards long ago. Instead, they continue to rely on outdated methods like in-person teller deposits or manual transfers.

There is quite a bit of news surfacing regarding PayPal in the near future, specifically concerning the rollout of prepaid accounts paired with debit cards.
It appears that PayPal is making a concerted effort to mirror the features offered by major fintech competitors.

For those who take the time to read closely, there are several interesting details tucked away in PayPal’s updated terms of service.

Ultimately, it all comes down to individual needs. I don't use their services personally, but consider someone tied to Wells Fargo because of a mortgage who is currently paying for overpriced premium bundles; in that context, it isn't entirely irrational.

It becomes even more logical if you also utilize another service from the NYSE. In that case, for $5.00, you receive checking, foreign currency, and savings accounts, along with 10 included transactions (which includes 3 free ATM withdrawals at any machine in the US or the European Union)... all things considered, it isn't completely useless, as no bank in the US offers everything listed here for that specific price point.

Furthermore, it seems that even within Wells Fargo, half the staff is either unaware this service exists or intentionally pushes more expensive packages instead.

Regarding Telecommunications banking, some information has surfaced regarding fees that provide a clearer picture of what the service actually entails.

At first glance, nothing here seems particularly advantageous, let alone free. I suppose Citigroup customers will be better positioned to judge the value for themselves.

What would be the most straightforward way to transfer funds via PayPal or a similar app to a secondary checking account without getting hit by fees?

Based on what I’ve gathered from previous discussions, it seems the only viable workaround using PayPal involves using two separate phones and two different phone numbers. You would set up the secondary account as the destination for
receiving funds on one device, and then use a credit card for payments on the second device.
