Nowadays, if I listen to death metal or anything even remotely close to it, my ears start bleeding if it goes on for more than three tracks.

Look, I just listed a few of them, but honestly? There were damn near endless. It was a hell of a lot more than that.

Some things just never go out of style. You’ve got the heavy hitters like Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd—that kind of taste is permanent. But honestly, you still find yourself spinning other stuff too, like... This is it. I don't even know what genre I’d call this while I'm typing it up, to be honest. But hey, it keeps me relaxed.

I’d say this is the heaviest stuff I've had on rotation lately.
I’d go with In Flames, Rammstein, Paradise Lost, and uh... Ensiferum. They aren't exactly heavy hitters in terms of pure aggression, but they hit that sweet spot where the melodies actually feel good. 😁

Music doesn't mess with your depression. Honestly, it’s not a powerful enough chemical to actually rewire your brain. If it were, I’d be constantly flooded with dopamine and adrenaline, which just isn't how it works.

Of course it affects you. I started out with chat Cradle of Filth - Existence and stuff like that. As you grow up, your taste evolves. These days, I can't even imagine listening to bands like Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, Arch Enemy, or Children of Bodom anymore. That was strictly a teenage phase for me. Now? Hearing someone growling or anything like that just irritates the hell out of me. 😁

A few weeks ago, I actually put on some Cradle tracks just out of pure nostalgia. But I can't listen to that kind of music on a daily basis anymore. And it definitely is destructive and impacts who you are—because if it didn't, everyone would be listening to the exact same thing. 😉
