Project: Find a Friend (Classifieds / Meetup Thread) in Psychology & Therapy ·
Hey there! I’m a 20-year-old girl looking to meet some new friends, both guys and girls. Lately, it feels like everyone in my old circle has drifted off to do their own thing, so I’m definitely feeling the void and looking for some good company again.
As for me, I’d say I’m pretty liberal and a bit of an introvert—though don't let that fool you, I have no problem heading out to a rock concert or something similar once in a while. I'm an atheist, a huge nature lover, and a total animal person. When I'm staying in, you can usually find me bingeing series or catching movies. I actually really enjoy diving into deeper, more meaningful conversations, but honestly, I'm always down for some lighthearted small talk too.

Just a quick heads-up: if you're a guy looking for something casual or hooking up, please don't bother reaching out. I can spot that vibe from a mile away, and I won't be replying to those "hey, what's up" messages. I'm really just looking to connect with people who share similar interests, personalities, and are roughly in my age group.

No worries at all🙂 If you ever just need someone to talk to or if there's anything else I can do to help, I'm happy to be here for you😁

Honestly, with everything going on in the country right now, a job hunt is something a lot of people are unfortunately facing head-on.👎
Maybe you can look at this period as a little nudge to dive back into work or pick up some new skills.

And hey, don't feel like you're out there on your own—you're definitely not the only one dealing with this kind of thing.😁 Don't let things get you down; eventually, you'll cross paths with someone who really sees what you bring to the table and actually values it.

I’ve been in this exact same boat myself—I decided not to head straight to college after high school either, and yeah, it definitely led to losing touch with some old friends along the way.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to focus on changing your scenery. Look into enrolling in a college or a local community college where you can actually get out there and meet a whole new crowd of people.
Building trust takes time, and honestly, friendships only really stick when both people are putting in the work. You just have to give it your all and see if the other person meets you halfway.

Try to look at this phase as just a temporary thing. Personally, I think everyone hits a rut like this at least once in their lives; for both you and me, it happened right after we finished high school.🕺

Keep busy, focus on your studies, and work on yourself. You'll feel so much more fulfilled that way, which helps keep those depressive moods at bay.👍
