Besides, being involved with someone like that—especially if they actually want you—is a massive uphill battle. I've seen plenty of people get completely consumed by relationships like this.

That "mostly..." qualifier isn't a closed case—it’s a maybe/maybe not situation. It’s all just "who knows," really. Just as other dimensions, planets, galaxies, or aliens are possible, so too are entities, ghosts, orbs, and clusters of unresolved energy...

As for surrendering to a distorted "entity"—I agree that it's just surrendering to oneself, given that you're the one who conjured it in the first place.
