How to sign up for Medicare in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Unfortunately, that three-month grace period applies strictly to the submission of written or electronic pension applications, rather than the registration deadline itself...
So, if someone misses the mark—say the contract is dated January 10th, but the application doesn't reach Medicare until January 16th—would they be considered filed as of January 15th? Or will the protocol be strictly enforced, resulting in a penalty?

Are you aware that since January 1st, 2014, the window for registering or deregistering employees with Medicare is limited to just 24 hours?

I found the news quite startling... :-O

It’s an immediate expense... screwdrivers have a habit of going missing 😉

When I record small equipment expenses, I always include a specific description of what was purchased. That way, anyone looking at the ledger can easily verify exactly how many items, such as screwdrivers, were bought over several years. It’s a simple method, but it effectively preempts any potential audit queries regarding those costs...

Jessica Grant56 said:Look, you know asking isn't the hard part for me—honestly, I usually have more questions than answers! It’s more about the learning curve. Every day feels like a lesson, especially once you start looking at the actual obligations or expenses... who owes what, why someone is collecting, who's actually earning, and who's messing things up for them (you know, exchange rate fluctuations and the Federal Reserve!!)—plus all the other nonsense our pioneers generously serve up to us. Sometimes I get the feeling they're working against our interests, which is just... well, why make it complicated when you don't have to?

But I've got my own little guardian angel—that colleague of yours from overseas—so I run everything by her, whether it's something smart or just plain silly. She always has an answer for me.

The last "dumb" question I bothered her with—and here it is for the rest of you too: Is there any merit to the idea that S.I. values up to $17 should be sent straight to 4 immediately?

It really depends on what exactly we're talking about and how long that little "item" lasts before $17..
You know as well as I do that assets and small inventory items should be evaluated by both their dollar value and their useful life...

So, just use your own best judgment... personally, I usually just write those kinds of things off directly to 4...

Good grief, these sliders just won't move past the appetizer stage... yet I can't stop dreaming about them... 🙂:

I can hardly believe this thread ended up on the second page, though once I consider how quickly the year is slipping away, it all makes perfect sense. 🙂
