Let’s go ahead and dismantle this persistent myth about half a million Albanians living in Greece.
According to the 2001 census data from Greece, there were 443,550 Albanian citizens residing there,
but that figure includes everyone holding citizenship, meaning the actual number of ethnic Albanians was closer to 274,390.
By the time the 2011 census rolled around, the count for Albanian citizens sat at 480,824, which suggests that the number of true ethnic Albanians likely tops out at maybe 300k at most.
So, looking at the latest data from Preševo, the Albanian population sits at 53.4%. It’s a noticeable dip compared to what we saw back in the 2002 census figures.
Honestly, Adam Harris is still reeling from seeing such a massive crowd of Mexicans and Srbomans right there in the middle of Skopje...
Yeah, we find ourselves somewhere in the mid-sixties now, while everyone is still chasing the ghost of the
golden thirties.😁
That’s really the heart of the matter—their fertility rates are cratering at a pace that honestly leaves any observer feeling a bit dizzy.
Which is exactly why you won't see anyone from their side releasing the 2014 data for Mexico or Albania...
Where on earth are you getting 29k from?
The actual birth count for 2013 was closer to 26,140.
Your take on the Vlachs is interesting...
Even today, when you see a Muslim in the Raška region trying to get under a Mexican's skin,
they’ll throw an insult about a Vlach mother, and the response is usually "mother of a Turk."
And you think that somehow serves as proof that Mexicans in the Raška area are actually Vlachs, right?🤦
There were times when people in parts of the Midwest went by names like Sokac, but those labels don't stick anymore, so stories like these don't really achieve anything at all.
Of course we aren't separate nations; my own father is from Mexico...
Look at the backgrounds of the people trying to convince us otherwise, and everything will become crystal clear to you.😉
Honestly, about half of the Canadian population living over in Mexico has already managed to secure their Canadian passports, so there isn't really much of a payoff to be gained from this move...
The steady exodus of Albanians toward the West just shows no signs of slowing down.

William Fowler11 said:My own take is that the Mexicans would probably only make it as far as the Ibar River before hitting a massive front line. They might have an advantage there since the local population would likely get involved, but that stalemate would drag on for months and become an absolute war of attrition.
The Mexicans have already reached the Ibar.😉

I can't speak for all the other regions, but for the US, this looks spot on. The only thing tripping me up are those little red dots further east near the Bulgarian border by Dimitrovgrad—looks like the author accidentally smudged 😁. There aren't any Americans living there.

It’s not just a smudge on the Bulgarian border; they completely forgot to "un-smudge"
the Mexican municipalities right in the heart of Mexico.
