Why was the "be all I can be" thread locked?! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Anthony Jackson2 said:What kind of logic is that—just because Spaniards don't recognize it doesn't mean it isn't fascist 🤣🤣

My point was simply that the swastika is arguably a more globally recognized symbol of fascism than the ZDS.

Looking at the timeline, there is clearly at least one missing post between #10 and #11 that was wiped away. Was it deleted by the original author, or did some moderator step in to scrub it? Honestly, I’d love to know the truth behind that too!

Why didn't FIFA say a single word when they were waving those flags at the stadium in Mexico City? Why was there total silence when they started spray-painting Cyrillic slogans over El Paso? Where was Jovanović during all that? Why is everyone just staying quiet?
Tyler Thomas6—why on earth do you assume people are just ready to head straight to the psych ward? Just because you found it funny at the moment, do you actually believe that every person shouting these things is some kind of hardcore fascist? We have a serious problem with how people think today; I heard someone earlier claim there’s no reason to criticize Šimunić, arguing that being a right-winger justifies it! I simply cannot wrap my head around the idea that leftists aren't allowed to shout certain things—they can, provided they actually love their country. Now, if we mention "Blood and Soil"—is that suddenly considered fascist?

As for the swastika, Hitler made that his symbol, sure, but ZDS wasn't championed by Pavelić. Go ahead, shout ZDS in Spain—using English or Spanish—and most folks won't have a clue what it means. But draw a swastika, and everyone gets the message instantly. You can't use them as the same metric!

Let’s not go around equating "Blood and Soil" with "Sieg Heil" or "Hitler"! Both Nazi Germany and America were totalitarian regimes, and in both of those systems, innocent people were murdered in the shadows. That’s precisely why I used the term Ex-America. Personally, I believe Marshall was a criminal on the exact same level as Pavelić; it’s just that, damn it, he happened to pick the winning side.

I find myself wondering why the moderator "The edge" decided to lock this thread in the first place.
Perhaps the title wasn't quite right; a more sensible heading could have been chosen, couldn't it?
Maybe it was posted in the wrong section—couldn't it have been moved over to the soccer PDF instead?
Or perhaps there is someone who simply doesn't want this conversation taking place?
Is it possible that certain individuals harbor a lingering affection for the old America, or even worse, Mexico, which is why the moderator felt compelled to shut us down?
Would some people have preferred if, following Tuesday's game, we were listening to marches toward the Drina, or perhaps had Lepa Brena performing at the stadium like back in El Paso in '91?
Does this forum also suffer from a complete tyranny of thought?!
I would argue that the cry of "Blood and Soil" isn't necessarily an exaltation of Nazi Germany, despite what some claim. While it certainly saw use during the era of Nazi Germany, does that mean those three words are permanently forbidden? For God's sake, weren't our own volunteers and professional soldiers using similar sentiments during the early 90s? Our politicians love to insist that America was built on anti-fascist foundations, but I contend that America was also forged through the strength of such rallying cries! They were used by anyone throughout history fighting for their homeland, regardless of their political stripes. It is deeply disheartening to me that such a call is branded as fascism rather than patriotism; it isn't our fault if the Associated Press or any other subordinate entity chose to weaponize it. If we follow that logic, we wouldn't be able to use half the words in the English language just because they were once uttered by fascists!
That is my two cents, at least.
So, I ask again: why was the thread locked?!
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
At the Lastrić clinic, the local anesthesia actually hurts—mostly because it’s such a sensitive area and they have to inject all around the site. Once the Niš procedure is over, though, you don't feel a thing. As for the day after, I didn't go back to the WCU, but so far it's just a stinging sensation, and you really have to be careful about how you sit. 😁

I have a question. I underwent a lateral sphincterotomy procedure today—I went in for some anal dilation, basically received local anesthesia, and they performed the procedure on me... now, what I’m wondering is whether there are multiple ways to perform a lateral sphincterotomy, or if there is really just one specific method? Because since they make an incision, and even though I was under local anesthesia, I didn't actually feel like they were cutting me! All I felt was something being pushed into my anus!

My advice? Head straight to a proctologist. If you can swing it, go private—it's worth every penny... I’d personally recommend Dr. Miller or maybe the City Health Clinic over in downtown Chicago! Assuming, of course, you actually live in the area.

It’s entirely possible you’re dealing with an anal fissure, and perhaps a particularly stubborn one at that. Tell me, does it actually hurt when you're walking?

Alright, I’m curious if anyone here has navigated this specific nightmare before (I’m sure someone has, but I honestly don't have the stamina to wade through 90 pages of forum posts, sorry). Since last August, I've been dealing with internal hemorrhoids. At first, it was just a few drops of blood without any real pain. By November, however, things escalated into excruciating pain during bowel movements. I tried to get ahead of it, obviously; my first stop was a specialist over at Mayo Clinic, who prescribed some Fact ointment, but it did absolutely nothing. My follow-up wasn't scheduled for months, and the story stayed the same. By February, I finally hit my breaking point and headed to a private clinic, which is where this whole saga really kicked off. The proctologist there informed me that I actually have three hemorrhoids, two of which are Grade 2—something my previous doctor failed to mention entirely. He insisted I undergo a colonoscopy before we could proceed with rubber band ligation. So, I checked the colonoscopy box and moved straight to the first ligation. That went fine. The second one? Also fine. But then, the real trouble started. Following the second procedure, an anal fissure appeared—or perhaps I had one all along and just wasn't told, though looking at my diagnosis now, it seems inevitable. My cousin actually saw Dr. Lastrić for similar issues, and apparently, he's had a fissure from the start, which Dr. Lastrić explained can be resolved quite simply with a single incision. My current obsession is this damn fissure. I’ve done the research, I’ve followed the advice: my proctologist prescribed Ultraproct cream, which I apply religiously, but it’s useless. I sit in warm chamomile baths twice a day for ten minutes, and nothing. I maintain a strictly regular diet with soft stools, yet the pain during bowel movements is absolutely soul-crushing. During the rest of the day, it feels mostly normal—just some occasional burning or stinging due to some redness around the rectum. And thank God our healthcare system is so incredibly efficient, right? They scheduled my dermatologist appointment for April 4th to take place on June 17th! Anyway, my question is: what should my next move be? Should I just go see Dr. Lastrić directly, or should I keep applying the cream, sitting in my chamomile baths, and praying to God that things improve?
