They've got it all wrong.
All the silver being pulled out of the ground either gets used up—think electronics, medical gear, military tech, solar panels, you name it—or it just sits there tied up in investment bullion.
It hasn't been a staple in photography for years, yet the price keeps climbing because of those dozens of other industries that rely on it.
A few years back, the Chinese government actually restricted silver exports, and now they're importing it. On top of that, they’re even encouraging their own citizens to load up on silver and gold.

It’s not exactly news when bankers decide to ignore common sense.
Honestly, they spend most of their time doing just that.

Looks like a fun one today.

Let's just wait and see what Angela says once she's back from vacation 🙂
Actually, it doesn't matter what they say; it's about what they do. The Federal Reserve is already buying up 70% of US Treasuries, and soon the Federal Reserve will be doing the exact same thing with government debt in places like Florida and Texas.
Why? Because they don't have any other choice.

And you just decided to ignore those five years entirely? 🙂

That says everything you need to know about this "market." What a complete joke...

Is it all coming to an end? Just 170 days left.🙂

Haha, you've got a point there 🙂

"Scandals"? This is, without exaggeration, the biggest financial scam in history. The sad part is that 99.9% of people don't grasp how much money was stolen from them by this "scandal," yet they know every single detail about that crazy Scientologist's divorce.
And you're wrong about QE. Just because the Federal Reserve isn't announcing QE doesn't mean it isn't happening—any time the Federal Reserve "buys" US Treasuries, that's effectively QE. Besides, central banks haven't shown they know how to do anything else besides printing money; they've proven that countless times.
Not only did QE fail to ease the crisis, it actually made things worse, and unemployment in the US remains abnormally high, even if you look at those fairy-tale official statistics.
In a normal market, precious metal prices would be climbing, but here they're being crushed by blatant manipulation while everyone just watches.
But once people finally decide to wake up and realize what an illusion they've been living in, it'll be too late, and everyone will be asking themselves where their money went.

It’s pretty interesting how we're looking at May data while the Federal Reserve went absolutely overboard with their buying spree in June. 🙂
Just like any other manipulation, this won't last forever; eventually, the fundamentals will take back control.
Go ahead and trade if you want, but trying to play in an environment like this? It’s pure madness. 🙂

What kind of demand are we talking about? The FED is buying up over 80% of American bonds because NOBODY ELSE IS BUYING THEM.
And nobody even mentions the LIBOR scandal—one of the biggest financial frauds and insider trading schemes in history. What else has to happen before people finally open their eyes and realize the free market hasn't actually existed for years?
Gold: Past, Present, and Future in Other Investment Types ·
Talk about a cult mentality... even the head of the NYSE admits that 80% of all trading is just machines running algorithms.
Gold: Past, Present, and Future in Other Investment Types ·
Their goal wasn't actually to pump the price of gold, but just to make sure it didn't skyrocket out of control. 🙂

I can hold out for a while, but there’s a limit.
Specifically, I'll last until one of the big players decides to actually stand for delivery, or until the sheep finally wake up and realize you can't just "dump" an entire year's worth of silver production in a single hour... who knows what kind of black swan we're looking at.
It's the same story with the whole financial system... between Madoff, JPMorgan Chase's trading losses, and the LIBOR scandal—which was easily the biggest fraud in history—it feels like these bankers are slowly losing their grip on things.

That logic might work if you're talking about sleeping with your neighbor's wife or something, but it has zero business being applied to where you park your life savings.
It’s funny how nobody has actually come up with a coherent reason why these various "bans" would even happen. I remember chewing this over with Maximus once, and the big argument was basically just "there would be riots..." Some gold bugs think we're heading back to a gold standard, but honestly? It feels more like gold will just move to an underground scene—at least for the average Joe. I think Armstrong has been hinting at something similar lately too.
Look, I'm not saying holding gold isn't a good move. Far from it. But these kinds of weak arguments really grate on me, NHF.
If owning gold were actually a bad thing, most buyers in the States wouldn't be busy stashing their bullion in vaults at Swiss or Austrian banks, effectively killing one of the biggest perks of owning physical assets.

First off, there aren't any bans yet. 🙂All we have are high tariffs and taxes that'll basically evaporate once we fully integrate further into the EU (though they'll probably keep the sales tax on silver).
Secondly, watching people haul precious metals into foreign bank vaults is just plain stupid. I’d love to see how they plan on retrieving it if things truly go south. And let's face it, Americans are notorious for being overly optimistic when it comes to their finances.

They won't ban it. If they did, the average person would finally start paying attention—and everyone knows the forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest. 🙂

Sure, maybe. But once the deflationary period passes, we get a temporary "recovery" before hyperinflation hits.
The push for a purely digital currency is just one last desperate move by the banking elites...
