It’s possible, Raymond Martinez10, it really is....

Look,
you absolutely have to make sure you meet all the minimum technical requirements set for hair salons—and if the space you're eyeing already meets those standards, just demand that the landlord provides proof of compliance. You don't want to be caught off guard if an inspector decides to drop by unexpectedly...

Look, just give an accountant a call and get a quote—it’s pointless for me to tell you what I pay here when we aren't even in the same state... pricing varies way too much based on where you're located.

Since the whole process isn't exactly rocket science, my honest advice? Just register the business yourself. If you hire someone else to do it, they'll absolutely fleece you...😉 unless, of course, you have money to burn...

If you’re out there volunteering your own time for your own company, then sure—you can start writing off those business expenses...

Look, just ask someone or check the bank's website—for crying out loud... am I really expected to read through all that fine print just to summarize it for you?

If what you said about the contract is true—that you need to be registered as a business entity—then they’re basically demanding to be invoiced by a corporation. Honestly, that's just standard operating procedure in the American business world... nothing out of the ordinary there.
I hope I'm following your logic correctly here... ☕

I can't say I know much about these fringe expenses 😉

But here’s the real question... How on earth can someone claim they’re too sick to perform their actual job, yet somehow find the energy to volunteer their time at the very same company?

It feels like a classic loophole—something people have been trying to exploit for years to double-dip on income through less than legal means...

Just wave a magic wand and everything changes...😉

Look, you’ve got to actually specify what product we’re talking about here—is it food, clothing, some kind of consumer good...
Give me some actual, concrete details first.

Look, kid, 😍

You can't just be pulling in $60,000 a year—or whatever high number you're dreaming up—without having a damn good explanation for where that cash is coming from. If money is just landing in your account without some kind of official paper trail—like a registered LLC, a freelance contract, an independent contractor setup through the IRS, or even just a standard W-2 employment agreement... I could go on all day, really... each one of those gets taxed differently, obviously. There are specific rules for everything.

If your plan is to just have $60,000 show up in your bank account out of thin air, they’re definitely going to come knocking about your Social Security and healthcare contributions—just like goldentinker79 already pointed out to you.

Anyway, how exactly do you think you're going to manage to pocket that much cash in the first place? 😉

Dear Mos,
Since I’ve been hanging around this forum for a while now, I’ve taken the liberty of developing my own little way of doing things—you know, mixing in some sarcasm even when the topics get heavy, mostly just to push everyone toward actually writing something worth reading. You really shouldn't have taken it to heart... maybe work on that sense of humor a bit? I wasn't trying to be disrespectful, truly. Besides, you can't take everything so personally—especially not on an internet forum. Coffee's on me next time.

OT: Just a bit of advice for everyone else: if you're going to dish out advice, try providing a link to a reliable source whenever possible. Personal anecdotes and opinions vary wildly from person to person, and relying on them can easily mislead someone who isn't well-informed. There's a massive difference between sharing what happened to you and citing actual law.

Nicholas Gomez5 said:Maybe you didn't read all my posts carefully enough. I mentioned in one of them that you can verify this data directly with the IRS, and in another, I even noted exactly where I received my own instructions.

Sure, you can just call them! And since you seem so tech-savvy, I'm sure you're resourceful enough to find their phone numbers on your own. 😉

Dear Nicholas Gomez5😍,

I read your posts with utmost attention—reading between the lines, actually—much like I would any other deeply fascinating author...😁

I was hoping that you might also dabble in these "advanced technologies" and perhaps locate an actual legal act, a regulation, or something similar... because what some clerk at the local police department tells you over the phone might be true, or it might not—it really just depends on the moment and whatever mood the person on the other end happens to be in. Don't you see that we're essentially in the same boat here? We have different answers based purely on experience, since my response to you was drawn from my own history...

I don't know, perhaps you are far more experienced than I am😛, or maybe it's the other way around😉, but I hope we can eventually reach a better, broader, shared understanding for the benefit of everyone reading this...

Still, it's probably better to provide information rooted in actual law rather than relying on some lady on the phone, because... believe me... I know from experience... I get along quite well with those types, so something might be true, or it might not necessarily be...😁

Look, if you actually want to be taken seriously, you need to provide a link to back up that claim—get it? 😉

My advice? Find yourself a solid accountant and pick their brain properly. You can grab some general pointers here, sure, but for the love of God—and I mean this—do not base any actual business decisions on stuff you read on an internet forum. Use this as a rough compass at best. It’ll be better for you, and honestly, much cheaper in the long run, if you pay for professional expertise when you launch... rather than paying the massive price tag of fixing mistakes made because of ignorance. That kind of error will cost you dearly.

Do your homework. Look for an accountant with a stellar reputation, go in for a consultation, and check if they already handle clients in your specific industry. Ask questions, show some intuition, and play it smart—position yourself so that if they give you the right guidance, they walk away with a loyal client...

Man... it's a shame you aren't closer to Chicago.😉

Listen, Nicholas Gomez5, 😉, I run my own business, and honestly, I’ve never once dealt with a formal Lease Contract for a registered headquarters—nor have I ever run into any issues with the FBI, whether it was for my own outfit or for other companies I helped get off the ground.

That’s exactly why I asked you for the link... I’m not interested in getting boggedED up in "he said, she said" nonsense—you either need a Contract or you don't.

What actually matters is having a valid service address where the company name is clearly displayed.

😍

Nicholas Gomez5 said:1. You’ve got to have a formal lease agreement for the space where you're registering the business.
2. Depending on your tax filings, they might trigger an immediate inspection of your physical location.
Pro tip: Make sure your business address is clearly posted!
3. The IRS can show up whenever they want, regardless of where you set up shop.
4. My advice? Grab a legitimate OS license, then stick to open-source tools for everything else.

That first point isn't quite right... and if I'm wrong, please, by all means, drop a link proving otherwise—because you don't actually need a formal lease agreement for your headquarters just to incorporate a company.☕
