It’s honestly ridiculous. I’ve been losing my patience with this kind of thing for a while now. Picture me: I’m lugging around a massive watermelon—maybe ten pounds, because apparently, I have no self-control—plus two jumbo jugs of fabric softener, and this old guy looks at me and says, "Wow, she’s so young and already struggling with the heavy lifting." Like, seriously? He 🙂 just leaned over to say it, didn't even bother to apologize...

(except when my mother-in-law literally throws herself onto her knees to stroke my belly
while making these bizarre, unarticulated noises. Look—I’m not being malicious here—but she has absolutely no sense of timing or appropriate setting
and frankly, it’s terrifying. I’ll be right in the middle of discussing home renovations with contractors, and she just bursts in—well, the rest of the scenario
is laid out for you🤮)
You actually have me laughing here... my dog just started licking my stomach from my chest down to my waist. Give me a break...

If he isn't gay, at least let him be a decent, well-mannered guy—someone who doesn't mind wearing slippers, thinks purple is a top-tier color, and happily follows his mom to ballet and music lessons at four in the afternoon.
And what does my dear partner think about all that? Look, I was just poking fun at the "thug" thing. Besides, you learn from your own mistakes, right? Hopefully, I'll be able to steer him in the right direction when the time comes. By the way, we won't actually find out the gender until Thursday night... fingers crossed it's something visible.

I can't stand out in the sun for three hours, I can't wait around for two hours at a time, we aren't hiking the Rockies this weekend, I definitely can't lug thirty grocery bags around, I'm paranoid someone might bump into me, I have to pee constantly, I need a nap... just leave me alone...
I'm with her on this one. 😵
What didn't you cook? Is the house a disaster zone? Meanwhile, I'm lying here with blood pressure at 80/40, basically hovering on the edge of passing out...
redpilot37 said:So I’m crossing the street in town yesterday and this idiot just doesn't stop. He keeps rolling along like I'm invisible or he expects me to just freeze in his path... wtf?😕😂
Then he starts honking at me and shouting profanities. Just typical Smithsonian Institution behavior right there...😬
Ha, ha... I had a city bus driver slam on his brakes just so he could hop out and lecture me about "taking his right of way." Meanwhile, I’m walking out there with a massive belly and shouting "wtf?!" Seriously, man, get a grip.
Kate Cox2 said:Honestly, there is something quite cathartic about looking someone right in the eye and lying through your teeth—you know, the whole "Oh, I'm perfectly fine," or "I slept like a baby," or "It wasn't hard at all" routine... just to get back at them for being so malicious and making those "threats" in the first place...😁>
Exactly. 👍
So, I went to see the lady at the local locksmith yesterday because my manager managed to lose my keys—again. When I asked her how she was doing, she basically told me my blood pressure was too high for small talk and then proceeded to give me a twenty-minute keynote presentation on her entire pregnancy journey, starting from the very moment of conception. Truly riveting stuff. 🙂

I can already see it happening in thirteen years: this rebellious, aggressive little terror with a cigarette dangling from his lip and a mouth full of profanity. It’s nauseating. And god forbid he inherits that "enthusiasm" for education that runs through his father’s side of the family... if that happens, I might need to start digging a massive hole just to hide in. I’m already dreading those parent-teacher conferences where everyone points the finger at me because my teenager decided to get into a scrap or act out.
I think I’ll just sit in the very back row during those meetings and pretend I don't exist... ha, ha... though it won't matter, he'll still be a little outlaw. Honestly, better a rebel than some total jerk, right? That's what we ended up with anyway.🤣
I just stumbled upon this thread!! Total nightmare! 👋👋
Ran into some people at the grocery store yesterday I haven't seen in over a decade—not like we were ever actually friends, either.
"Oh, you've filled out a little bit..." wow, okay..
"Wait, are you...??" um, sure. "And where's the ring??!!" Honestly, why do they care? Mind your own business. It’s none of your concern. I wanted to tell them to shove it, but instead, I just played it cool and politely mentioned the pregnancy—much later, of course. Like, seriously?? Why is everyone so entitled? If I want to buy a bigger shirt, that's my call—NO COMMENT!! DON'T TOUCH!! Good grief.
Maria James40 said:Actually, you can do it directly—I helped a buddy out with this without any hiccups at all. I even got some solid advice on exactly which branch to hit up and specifically who to talk to personally.
The loan was all set within about a month, back when we did it last year.
I actually reached out to the bank again recently for someone else, and the terms were better (I think I mentioned those details a few posts ago), but nothing came of that second attempt because the property we wanted to use as collateral wasn't "appealing" enough for them.
I was given a contact too, but the woman I'm supposed to deal with is out sick. About two weeks ago, they told me they didn't think she'd be back for at least another week. Now, what's the deal? Even the person who worked directly with her isn't giving me much.
I'll try calling again this week and see where that gets me...
If anyone happens to have a reliable contact, please shoot me a message.
Does this need to go through an American representative, or can I just deal with them directly?
