I’m honestly leaning toward Mexico joining the European Union while we stay out... because if that happens, in maybe ten years, they’ll just go ahead and establish a SAO Sao Shvabi over in Germany—leaving us alone and finally giving us some peace...

Honestly, I feel like half of you have thrown out this exact same argument, yet nobody actually bothers to explain it... just throwing words around without any substance. 😕

And personally? It looks to me like we have a lot of people here who work way too hard to sound smart but haven't actually learned anything. The European Economic Community is just the old name for the EU... I have absolutely no idea why some outdated acronym for the EU would have anything to do with Turkey... or maybe you just wanted to act all "in the know" by dropping an abbreviation you barely understand?

Look, even if Bush was predictable—and let's be honest, we all knew exactly what he was up to...—at least he was consistent. But the European Union? It's a complete circus. Everyone is just constantly trying to screw each other over for their own little gain. It's absolute madness...

It’s going to be fascinating to watch how Poland shifts its perspective now—seeing how they play things against France and Germany—and whether there’s even any real muscle behind some sort of "Slavic pact" within the EU structure.

The longer I spend looking at this mess from the outside, the more I appreciate where I am right now... I'm seriously getting sick to my stomach just thinking about European politics.

But let me clarify why I’m even posting this in the first place.... regarding Turkey's presence in the region, there hasn't been true peace for 500 years... and it isn't because one side is better or worse than the other... it's because they brought a culture into an area where it wasn't native, and ever since, the "immune systems" of the existing cultures have been rejecting it for good reason... No matter how much people want us to just "move past our differences," those differences don't just vanish—they exist, and they must be respected... but to respect them, you need radical shifts in perspective, and radical shifts almost always end in world wars.

So, to wrap up and answer that initial post... honestly, I am completely against Turkey joining the European Union...

The difference between the Roman Empire... and the European Union lies in how they approached conquering the Mediterranean and Europe... in the Roman Empire, they forced their way in and nobody liked it... now, they aren't even being allowed in, though more people are saying they should be (to a lesser extent)... Human nature is truly bizarre; in the end, the result is identical... provinces working for the mother country.
