Car Insurance: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

Has anyone here dealt with setting up an auto insurance policy without having the actual license plate number ready yet? I'm curious if you had any smooth or messy experiences with that.

Here’s the situation: I’m looking at buying a brand-new car straight from the dealership. Since it hasn't been registered yet, it doesn't have plates. To cover the risk while driving it from the lot to get the inspection and registration done, I heard you can sometimes start a policy using just the VIN and maybe a placeholder like "New York City" instead of a specific plate number.

Is that actually doable, and is it totally above board legally?
Best online payment cards? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hi there.
Is it possible here in the States to pick up a prepaid credit card for online shopping without having to deal with all the usual bank headaches? I’m talking about avoiding those annoying credit checks or having them tie everything directly to my main checking account...
Since I barely ever buy anything online, it doesn't really make sense for me to pay annual fees for an American Express, Visa, or Mastercard.
Thanks in advance.

That shouldn't happen. Just try restarting the PC and see if everything settles into place properly.

I was actually wondering if I'd still be able to boot into Windows Vista normally once the partition stops being labeled [C:] and gets assigned some other letter.

Noah Sanchez39 said:Just hit the Start menu, type in diskmgmt.msc, and hit ENTER

Right-click on the Windows Vista partition, then select Change Drive Letter and Paths.

Click Add.

Select the first option, Assign The following Drive letter, and just pick whatever letter you want from the dropdown menu.

Hit OK to confirm.

Once you head back over to Computer, the Vista partition should show up right there.

Thanks, Noah Sanchez39!
P.S. Will my Windows Vista still run smoothly after I change the drive letter?

Hey everyone.
Here’s the situation I'm dealing with:
I have a single hard drive set up for dual booting, with Windows Vista on one partition and Windows 7 on the other. When I boot into Windows Vista, everything works fine and I can see all my partitions. But when I boot into Windows 7, the partition where Vista lives just doesn't show up. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks,

Hey everyone,
I've run into a bit of a snag. I set up Windows 7 in a dual boot configuration alongside my Windows Vista setup, but now, ever since I logged in, it keeps prompting me to reactivate Vista because it's flagging the previous activation as invalid. Any idea how to get around this?
Thanks in advance!
