Yeah, you're spot on

My situation is just a bit different. I’ve got a long-term girlfriend and we're actually engaged
Career-wise, I’m pulling in an above-average American salary
I still have the same core group of friends from middle school—and I mean actual friends, not those random people who just drift in and out of your life

But here's my dilemma: Is this really it?
Get married, have a kid... is that honestly the whole deal? Is that all there is to life?

I catch myself thinking about just packing up and leaving. No goodbye, just take out a loan and vanish from everyone's radar

But honestly, thanks for this depressing post. It actually helps me stay put (not even joking), because sometimes you need to see someone else hitting rock bottom just to appreciate what you've actually got
