🤣 This actually made my day 🙏
I remember listening to all that car advice during my first pregnancy too.
They insist you need a massive SUV because babies apparently come with endless luggage.☕
We didn't upgrade back then, and we aren't doing it now for our second child either.🙂
Brian Williams4 said:I saw something hilarious yesterday. I happened to overhear this pregnant woman chatting with a friend of hers. The friend was rubbing her belly, and then out of nowhere, the pregnant lady reaches over and starts petting her own chest. The friend just stood there completely stunned. 🤣 The woman tells her, "That’s actually how it feels when you rub my stomach. I'm not a fan." Total boss move. 😁

🤣 🤣
🙏
Hardly. Women can be vicious 😈
Not all of them, granted, but they’ll invent any nonsense just to be cruel to one another
Most of my experiences have been with men, usually older ones

chiara My boyfriend's mother just told me that boys are actually born earlier than girls. 😁

🤣 🤣 looks like they want to get you pregnant early too 🤣
I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with me giving birth early.🙂
It’s constant—everyone commenting about how this is my second child and claiming I’ll inevitably go into labor ahead of schedule just because "it always happens" with women.🙂
Frankly, none of their business. That little swimmer will decide when she's ready.😠
Laura Barnes42 said:It honestly gets under my skin when I'm fourteen years old and people start asking me where my stomach went, and what’s worse is that it’s usually people I actually respect and consider intelligent. It's just frustrating. I guess I just left it at home today, but maybe I'll bring it along for the family reunion. :-

The inevitable shift to "Oh my god, how big are you?" 😲
followed by the predictable "So, when are you planning on having more kids?"
🙂
An elderly woman tried to pull one over on me once on the subway...
She was sprinting just to catch the train, then rushed straight toward me, demanding I vacate my seat because she was "just exhausted from all that running." 🤣
I couldn't help but laugh. She took one look at my gut and realized I wasn't going anywhere. 🤣
The audacity of these old folks never ceases to amaze.
Great, more gender, more names, and then some ridiculous deadline... As if we can never have enough mindless questioning.
This scheduling thing makes zero sense to me. Does nobody realize that there's a 99% chance I won't be in labor on that exact day? 😕
So I give them a vague three-week window and hope for the best.
I suppose I'll just blame myself when they start breathing down my neck mid-next month asking if I'm still intact. 🙂
Do they honestly think people aren't going to speak up? 🙂

I am still trying to wrap my head around what exactly is supposed to be "blissful" about this state, aside from the fact that we are literally bringing a new life into the world.

I just remembered all those comments about how "I need to keep a smile on my face because the baby can feel it" or how "black clothing isn't appropriate for pregnant women."
Hmm, I'm only just realizing now that not having to go into the office anymore isn't actually a bad thing.😂

Oh, tell me about it—some days, if my belly wasn't so massive, you wouldn't even realize I'm in my third trimester.

I mostly wear black anyway.😬
Kimberly Phillips6 said:I find myself genuinely irritated by those former and current expectant mothers who insist that I need to be out exploring everything and enjoying every second—claiming this is supposedly the most beautiful phase of my entire life.
Please, don't take this personally, but we aren't all cut from the same cloth; pregnancy isn't a magical experience for everyone, and frankly, some of us would much rather stay glued to the sofa—even at just 25 weeks—than wander around aimlessly.
Is anyone else feeling this way? 😁

If you were always out and about, people would constantly question why you never stay put. You’d have to be home more often. 🙄

Brenda Doyle5 said:Me. 😁 Even though—my first two trimesters were absolute hell. The first three months were pure nausea (I didn't vomit, but my stomach was constantly in my throat), everything bothered me, every smell was revolting... just awful. During the second trimester, I was still miserable—irritable, back pain, zero energy, exhausted... basically a disaster. But now that I've hit the third trimester, I actually feel great. Most women I talk to say they struggle during the 1st and 3rd trimesters and feel fine in the 2nd... though my condition could definitely take a turn for the worse. 😂 I lose my mind when someone starts lecturing me about the "blissful stage" or how beautiful this period is. I've had better times in my life, and I'll definitely have better times in the future. 🙂

I listen to this almost every single day. 🙄
It’s not that I don't appreciate it, but give me a break.
You're reading the wrong threads ☕
Michelle Sanchez11 said:I suppose I should address what Brenda Doyle5 said earlier. It’s an interesting perspective, though perhaps a bit... optimistic? If that's even the right word for it. I find myself wondering if we are all looking at the same set of facts, or if we've just collectively decided to ignore the obvious inconsistencies. Maybe I'm being too cynical. It's possible. But then again, history usually suggests otherwise, doesn't it? Anyway, moving on.
I suppose I should probably mention that things have been... well, let's just say they haven't been particularly smooth lately. I guess there isn't much point in dwelling on it, though. Perhaps. It feels like everything is shifting underfoot, almost like trying to build something on quicksand, if that makes any sense. I might be overthinking it, but I can't help feeling that certain patterns are repeating themselves, even when we try our best to avoid them. It’s a bit exhausting, honestly. Not that I’m complaining—not really—but it is quite a lot to process all at once. Anyway, I'll get to the point eventually. I think. [Username] says:
It is quite a peculiar sensation, I suppose, when you find yourself anticipating one thing only to be met with the exact opposite. It’s rather taxing on the nerves. First, you're expecting a girl, and now, after all that, it seems you'll have to wait all over again to finally get a daughter. It is a bit much, I guess. 🙂
Greetings. 😍
My situation is... well, it’s a bit different, I suppose. I already have a son, and now I’m nine weeks along with my next. It hasn't even been that long, but the comments have already started rolling in. People are always saying things like, "Oh, if only you were having a girl this time since you already have a boy," or, "And if it turns out to be another boy, well, I guess you'll just have to live with it—as long as the baby is healthy, right?" I guess they think they're being helpful, or maybe they don't realize how repetitive it all sounds. It's just... a lot. 🙂

It was similar for me.
When we mentioned it was our second girl, everyone was thrilled—"Oh, that's wonderful, we're so happy, you'll have a daughter and a son." 😍 🙄
Frankly, who cares? I am happy whether it is two boys, two girls, or any other combination. 😍
Everyone wants to know the name, too. I won't say I ignore the comments, but I simply tell them they will find out when the baby is born.
People always have an opinion on everything, yet nobody asks. 🙄

To add to that—a neighbor congratulated us on the New Year the other day and wished us well, then proceeded to ramble about how her daughter-in-law also has a due date near mine. She claimed it’s much harder for her because she has a three-year-old girl and another baby coming, whereas my child will be seven by then, making it "easy." As if she could have just waited another three or four years to make it easy for herself. 🙄
If I had been able to do it sooner, the age gap wouldn't have mattered as much.

The obsession with Meta is generally idiotic. Constant questioning about who has an account and who doesn't.
People need to get a life.
My favorite part is when I reach out to someone—asking how they are or what’s new—only to be told everything is on Meta. Who actually lives like that? 😕
It is nothing more than a mindless fixation on that platform.
I find it hilarious reading articles about some couple getting married, only to see them update their relationship status on Meta immediately after the "I do." 😵
