I really hope these two trolls reading this—or maybe someone who actually knows them—can take a hint... a little less bias and a lot less whining wouldn't hurt anyone

Man... what a joke of a comment section...
stormybadger8 said:Given his car and where he stands in the lineup—honestly, he should've hit at least 120 wins and 7 titles by now, even without counting this season.

LfuckingMAO

Eh, let it be—he’ll get to those 100 wins and 7 titles eventually... though it's pretty funny how everyone else on the forum already sees right through him too...
Richard Ross11 said:Man, where on earth are you even getting these conclusions from? 🙂

Since 2007 ->

The guy has proven himself year after year—but no, apparently it's all just pure luck... imagine living a life where that's how you reason things out...
mellowtiger83 said:It looks like people have started questioning Lewis Hamilton's driving genius 🙂—who, by the way, absolutely tore through the Ferrari camp today. Even his own teammate, who really should be comfortable on this track, is lagging a full second behind Charles Leclerc and 0.6 seconds behind Hamilton.

Honestly, some of you guys on here act like you're all world-class experts.

Irrational hate is really just a sign of poor upbringing—it's like parents failing to teach their kids that everyone is equal, regardless of where they come from... nobody is born a bigot; it's something people learn.
Brian Campbell36 said:Keep celebrating if you want—if Mercedes were actually a serious outfit, they’d let Valtteri have a real shot at the WDC. Instead, they just give him a one-year extension as long as he plays the part of a loyal little puppy. Honestly, it's on him for letting them humiliate him like that.
Early in the season, even Ferrari was asking questions, but between dealing with Charles Leclerc and those annoying mechanical failures, they just couldn't capitalize on anything. Personally? I think by next year's summer break, Charles Leclerc will be sitting pretty at the top of the WDC standings.
Last year, the WDC title was basically handed to the British driver because of all that investigation into Charles Leclerc and the FIA—you know, after they installed those mysterious sensors that made Ferrari seemingly vanish from the grid.

The Mercedes crew is such a mess that they're already whining about the Ferrari car being illegal due to the PU. They can't seem to pull their sleeves up and actually build something competitive—everything is just handed to them on a silver platter. It feels like the FIA just trims the wings of the competition so Lujo can break records in such an artificial way. 👎

hahahahahahahahaha

hang in there 🤣
Brian Campbell36 said:He’s just way too soft—we all know he’s crying on the inside from pure frustration. He really should have been breaking Michael Schumacher's records by now.
He's had a dominant turbo car since 2014, so if Charles Leclerc had been behind the wheel of that machine for five years, he'd already be the GOAT.

If she were a guy, her name would be Doug.
George White52 said:The Mercedes-Benz cars are 3-4 positions back—no way they catch up 👍

Haha, well—maybe if they didn't lack the greatest driver of all time... just a thought...
ruggedhawk20 said:How can they be fifth? If they're actually slower than Red Bull, there's no way they're sitting in fifth.

Hey, look—this is how the current car pace rankings actually look:

1. Ferrari
2. Red Bull
3. Mercedes
4. Renault
5. McLaren

Are you really trying to tell us that both Renault and McLaren are faster than Mercedes, or can you just not count to five?!

Wait... let me get this straight... Ferrari 1, Ferrari 2, Red Bull 1, Red Bull 2, then Mercedes 1 or 2...

So yeah, that looks pretty damn fifth to me—honestly, it worries me a bit that this kind of logic is slipping through the cracks here. Maybe I set my expectations too high when I was back in college...
Hamilton is trailing behind the Ferraris and Honda again... yet people keep insisting that the Mercedes isn't actually the 5th fastest car on the grid...
Brian Campbell36 said:Honestly, I’d take some of that gear the guys here use in a heartbeat. 🍿

Maybe try finishing school first...
Looks like Toto Wolff might have taken a nap during the break—man, he's gotta wake up! At this point, we're basically just praying Lewis Hamilton's pure driving talent can carry him to the title, especially since the car is sitting at 5. on the grid...

stormybadger8 said:I mean, honestly—it’s pretty sketchy how much of that was actually him losing control of the car versus just intentionally blocking Lewis Hamilton...
If he wasn't in control, then what exactly was that?
Are we talking about a penalty for going off track, a penalty because Hamilton squeezed right up against him (instead of just passing on the left), or what specifically?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa

I bet you wouldn't dare say that to my face... I know I wouldn't say it to yours—well, if I did, I don't think we'd both be walking away from the argument!

Richard Walker38 said:Oh sure—show me this "insane" car movement you're talking about, because I honestly can't see it in any single replay. 🤷

Yeah, I saw a driver go wide after a mistake and then just floor it back onto the racing line to block Lewis Hamilton. But seriously—how does Vettel supposedly struggle with car control, yet suddenly becomes a master pilot the exact second he needs to shut the door on Hamilton?

Well, obviously... otherwise the poor guy would have just slammed straight into the wall uncontrolled...🤣

Even Nico agrees 🙂

It’s all pretty obvious to me—the guy veered over on purpose to cause a mess, but Lewis handled it like a pro and dodged the crash.

Some people just seem to have a hard time seeing things clearly...

I’m really not looking to get into a whole debate about the grid positions or the power ratios here—I just feel like the spirit of the law should actually serve the racing, even if we're talking about the second-to-last spot...

Lewis Hamilton mentioned after the race that he was pushing at his absolute limit; he had that little window to make a move, but he couldn't manage anything more than just sitting in the slipstream—plain and simple.
Let's skip those random spikes of "he was twice as fast" or "he should have done this"—unless you've got actual hard evidence, let's just leave that aside.
The reality is that while Hamilton was closing the gap, he never truly made a play to overtake Sebastian Vettel, who was just playing it smart by using the advantage on the straights.
Plus, he’d been stuck in Vettel's wake for several laps already, which was just overheating the car...

It really comes down to a dilemma: how much weight do we want to give to strict rule enforcement versus pure racing? Do we let them race, or do we hand out penalties for every tiny mistake, every bit of contact, or every braking point, only to recalculate everything at the end and create a results list that looks nothing like what actually happened on track?
If we go that route, we basically kill the idea of a "racing incident"—every driver would need a lawyer waiting in their pit box...

I was actually thinking about that moment when Vettel was merging back onto the track...

Roger Wright94 said:Is this really the best you can do? Like, is this your limit when you're trying to be smart? I really hope not.

I was just talking about yesterday's race in Canada. If that's too complex for you to wrap your head around, feel free to ask—I'd be happy to break it down for you.
What part is confusing? Or is it just hard to accept that Lewis Hamilton could ever make more mistakes than Sebastian Vettel?

Hamilton messed up in Canada—it was pretty obvious—but there were no penalties. Simple as that.
Even after getting overtaken several times and losing a second or two here and there, he managed to recover quickly and stay right on Sebastian Vettel's tail.
In my view, the car made that possible (or the Mercedes-Benz, if you prefer). The car was just faster and more capable than the Ferrari yesterday.

Now, if anyone wants to believe that Lewis Hamilton's quick recoveries and constant pressure on Sebastian Vettel are purely due to his driving skills, hey, go ahead—I won't stop you.
I said I'll allow it, but that's not what I think. Sure, he's a great driver, but he isn't an alien.

It doesn't matter whose limit we're talking about—what matters is that Lewis Hamilton's reach goes way beyond 91 wins... it's pretty obvious, so don't bother responding.😁

Roger Wright94 said:All in all, I’d say I'm pretty happy with how things went.
Ferrari lost the race, but they gave Mercedes a real run for their money.
I really wish they had swapped Leclerc's tires right after Vettel—then maybe he could have actually stayed in the hunt for Lewis.
This race was basically a blueprint for how you take down Mercedes. You just have to be flawless. Every single detail. And some parts were honestly brilliant.

Lewis made more mistakes than Vettel, from Free Practice all the way through the race. But he managed to wiggle out of them without much trouble—his race car really made up for it, IMO.
Vettel paid a high price for his error, though he definitely showed what he's capable of.

Haha, so his car just makes up for all 78 of his wins now? These Hamilton haters are getting ridiculous...

northerncobra31 said:If you ask me, there shouldn't have been a penalty. Yeah, coming back onto the track was risky, but he didn't gain an advantage—he was already leading and just reclaimed that spot.

It's an unnecessary penalty; Mercedes is so dominant they don't need a win like this. Just like how Michael Schumacher didn't need that win in Austria back in 2002.

No, he didn't gain anything at all. Lewis was flying, then suddenly Vettel just shot forward—it's not like Lewis had to slow down or change his line or anything...

And as for this "give to the poor" stuff—look, people can go volunteer for charity events, but this is still a professional sport...
