Probably 40 Haribo gummy bears.😁

What kind of damn blocker would I need?! No, wait, maybe some black market stuff will show up! Anyway, back when my first depressive episode hit, I went through all the "physical" tests first, and they told me I had some kind of hyperactive heart—if those racing palpitations continued, they'd prescribe a beta-blocker. Eventually, once they realized it was all psychosomatic, of course, I was given an anxiolytic (xanax) and an antidepressant (back then, my first one, Prozac liquid).
thanks🙂
"Excitable heart"—well put.😍
Like a dog off its leash.😁
Anyway, I'm moving past it. Just taking it slow.👍
Does anyone know about interactions between Faverin and Nebilet (a beta-blocker)? I’m on Faverin for anxiety, and the beta-blocker is for the same reason, honestly. It was prescribed for palpitations and skipped beats—turns out it’s all psychological. My heart is fine, it just acts "wild" because of my mental state. Doctors didn't have many other ideas, so they went this route. I’ve noticed it affects my breathing, slows my pulse, and drops my blood pressure. That helps with falling asleep, which is a plus since insomnia is a constant struggle, but it feels dangerous when I wake up gasping from sleep apnea. Not great. Has anyone dealt with this? My doctors just leave the decision up to me, which is frustrating. I'm considering tapering off the beta-blocker slowly. Any thoughts? 😉
Anyone here with medical expertise?
calixta knocks me sideways. Before bed, I’d feel like a zombie with rubber legs... plus, it made me gain weight.
I know, but at the end of the day... it feels like a bit of a lottery, especially when you're dealing with combination therapy involving two or three different meds... who knows.
Yeah, I was on it for a bit. Woke me up with some annoying side effects, so I'll keep this brief... basically, my doctor said the med is an older generation, which means it’s more toxic and comes with more baggage.
Always adjust things based on your doctor's advice.
Everyone reacts differently—it hit me hard, might not affect you at all. Just check in with a professional... stay safe.😉
I’m feeling the weight of it too... everyone seemed fine on paper, but then doubt starts creeping in. It’s unsettling.
I might sound a bit paranoid, but when you read the side effects, you start questioning your own sanity 🙂... because why would they risk an unnecessary placebo? Clearly, I’m a more complicated case 😬

And besides, once this stuff stops working, I'll have to find something even stronger anyway.🤣
My advice would be: don't mess around with this. It’s ugly business. Nobody warned me clearly enough.😛
Honestly, right now I’d settle for some chamomile or valerian, or something like that... though I suspect it would have about as much effect on me as a soda would.😕 😠

The meds, sure, but within reason!
Honestly, his doctor had just retired right before that, so anything goes.☕
And then there's all that noise about being "poisoned" by various literature regarding drug safety and Big Pharma lobbies (or whoever is running the show in D.C.)... heheh... curiosity killed the cat.
I’ve been through this phase myself😬.
Ever since I started antidepressants about eight years ago—trying various kinds along the way—I've dealt with some truly bizarre side effects. Honestly, they were revolting. That’s where the mania comes from; it isn't just baseless speculation, I'm speaking from experience. Maybe we should all just switch to heroin; look at Keith Richards, still kicking through the seventies and beyond.
Sure, I’d love to believe that too... He was supposedly on xanax, Zoloft, and a few other painkillers, but still... under medical supervision, I think they call it... Doesn't matter much when you aren't taking anything and don't need to, but it worries me since I've been on them for a while now for anxiety and depression. Now I'm just extra on edge because of the meds myself.😲 The irony...
How safe is modern medicine, really?
Just look at the last couple of years. Between accidental overdoses and fatal drug interactions, we've lost people like Diana, A. N. Smith, her son, H. Leadger, Jack... and others. Some cases might be outliers, but to me, this feels like unintentional killing or a game of Russian roulette😲.
I find myself wondering if pharmacology is actually reliable enough—at least, as much as I'd like it to be.🙄👎
Every woman bristles at wrinkles, or pretends she doesn't notice them. It's an external pressure we're forced to deal with, and frankly, it's hard to swallow. Hollywood is nothing if not narcissistic—just look at them. Why should us mere mortals be any different when it comes to the signs of aging?
Ronald Rogers27: I think you're jumping to conclusions. Let's start with some honesty.

on that note, got any book or author recommendations?
Honestly, I can't recall😂...there were just too many😛
I've always liked Fromm🙂
I need to weigh in—I’ve read a mountain of self-help books over the last fifteen years. Believe me, they're everywhere. I've dealt with panic disorder since I was a kid. Some of that rigid theory helped, but more often than not, it just made things worse. I ended up stuck in this strange loop, losing my mind trying to reconcile all their contradictions. For me, the real fix was staying busy through work or any kind of physical activity. Not everyone is built to be a psychological experiment. Rationalization is what matters most. Just face it without making it more complicated than it needs to be.
