Wage garnishments and collections in Law ·
I have a quick question about how this works.

Let's say one of my parents acted as a guarantor for someone who stopped making their payments—meaning we could potentially be facing an enforcement action now.
Does that mean my own funds could be subject to seizure, or does it strictly stick to my parent's assets?
It just doesn't seem right to me that they could freeze my account when I'm out here working my own job.

You can check your balance—all your deposits, withdrawals, and everything else—online if you're set up with Chase mobile banking.

Got it, I don't have that set up yet. 😁
How would I go about getting access?
I'm guessing I'll probably need to swing by a local branch and ask them to set it up in person.
And then once they give me the security token, I just play around with the interface from there?
Am I totally off base here, or am I on the right track? 😂

So, if a buddy of mine wants to wire some cash into my account...
what info does he actually need? Just the card number and my full name? 🙂

EDIT:

I've got an Intel debit card from Chase...
is there a way I can check my balance or see my transaction history online?

I have it, thanks. Just one more quick question for you 😁
Is it the card number? You mean that long string of digits on the front? And when I'm checking out online, do I also need to enter that other number over on the right—the one that stands out a bit differently? (there's a little bird icon right underneath it)

Oh, there's one more thing I was wondering about..
If I'm using a US dollar account... does that cause any hiccups when I'm shopping online? For instance, if I wanted to order a House t-shirt from www.fox.com. 😁
Would I actually be able to pull that off? I'm just thinking—given that it's a USD account :P
Or say, for something on eBay

Well, thanks so much—everything makes a lot more sense to me now! 🙂

Hey everyone, I was wondering if someone might be able to walk me through a few things.
Basically, my parents set up an account for me at Bank of America a few years back so I could receive some money that was coming my way.
Now that I’ve officially hit adulthood a couple of days ago, I got a letter saying I need to head down to the Bank of America branch to pick up my own card, since my parents don't have authorization over it anymore.
So, I'll be getting a Visa.
What exactly can I do with it?
I figured out that I can load money onto it—though I assume I can't go into a negative balance, right? 😁 - honestly, I'd prefer to keep it that way 🙂 )
I know I can pull cash from ATMs and use it to pay for things (assuming there's enough in there)... but what else is on the table? Can I use it for stuff like PayPal, online betting sites, or eBay? 🙂
Also, what's the deal with the PIN? It didn't come with the card.
There are four digits on the back, and then a few more digits a bit further down—what am I looking at there?
And how do I actually deposit funds onto it?
I'm feeling a little out of the loop here since this is my very first card. 😁

Thanks in advance!
