So, now that a few days have passed since the wedding and I've had time to actually process everything, I can honestly say I soaked up every single second without a hint of stress or nerves 🤣

Zelenkrov's Salon did an absolutely flawless job, just as expected. The food came out hot—even though we were running about an hour behind schedule with the photos—and it was delicious... seriously, incredible. The servers were top-notch and super attentive. Major props there. 😉
The lighting? Total game changer. It sets the whole mood perfectly. Huge shoutout to the guy who handled that setup.
As for the wedding cake, it was exactly what I envisioned, both in how it looked and how it tasted. 😍
Huge thanks to Zoe Photography, our photographer Andrew, and the videographer Thomas. They were such a massive help and kept us laughing the entire time. 😂
The Right Band was awesome, though I do have one tiny gripe: we asked them to stay out front of the church to play a few extra songs, but they didn't stick around. Other than that, everything else was stellar. 😉
Matthew from Studio L nailed my hairstyle exactly how I wanted it. And for makeup? A massive round of applause for Antonia Gavran. She did a perfect job without a single complaint, even with that horrific finger injury... I just want to say a huge thank you to her because she truly made me feel special. 😍
I picked up my wedding dress from Nicholas, and I have to give his aunts a big thumbs up for being so kind. 😉
Fantasy Florist delivered everything I asked for, and I couldn't be happier with the results. 😉

If I missed anything, just ask! Honestly, I was so happy with everyone involved that even that sudden downpour didn't ruin my mood or my happiness for even a second. 😍😍

I think I’ve finally got everything under control... or at least that's what I'm telling myself 🤣
All that's left is the final week-of scramble before the big day.
Unless someone decides to jump out and remind me I totally forgot something—but let's hope it doesn't come to that 🤣

Henry Harris5 said:Hey everyone! Has anyone here actually gone through the process of buying custom license plates? Where do you usually go, and what kind of prices are we looking at these days?

There’s that one shop near the station by the supermarket—you know, the one that has all that wedding stuff (honestly, the name is slipping my mind right now).$10 You could probably grab a 😉

Oh yeah, check out Vigus

Seriously though, where are you planning on grabbing all your juices and homemade stuff for the house?

Also, does anyone know if there's anywhere to get cheaper roses from $3.25 around the 7th Moon?
The farmers market has them for $3.25/ unit

I’ll probably just grab some drinks at a discount store or something. I know there's a Dollar General nearby, but I have no clue what their prices are actually like...

As for everything else, I gotta check it out first. Distance isn't even an issue for me. I'm basically two minutes from a Whole Foods, one minute from the local church, and then just two minutes away from the community center.😁

I have a pretty good idea of the headcount since I only invited the local crew, and even then, it's about 80. Most of the out-of-towners won't head straight to the venue; they’ll swing by my place first... plus, my husband has a massive amount of close family nearby, so if they hit his place before mine, the numbers could really blow up.

My only real stress is making sure we don't run short on anything.

quietcobra52 said:Thanks. So, how many people are you planning to host? I already finished my list ages ago.

Probably around 100 to 150. I don't have an exact count yet—we're inviting about 300 people, but who knows how many will actually show up at the house?

I didn't see you mention that anywhere, though. Let me go dig through the threads again. 😁

Kevin Smith7 said:Does anyone happen to know where I might find some canopies or perhaps a white tent for rent to use in my backyard? Thanks!

I couldn't find anything to rent, so I just ended up grabbing one at Target for $58 😉

As for Nicholas, I think that girl explained it perfectly... except Nicholas actually has two locations. The second one is just a quick drive from the Chase Bank branch—you just head straight down the road and you'll see a few grocery stores right there.

Anyway, I've got the main stuff sorted out for now.😉
Our classes at the cathedral start today... and honestly? Not really feeling it. :/

The one thing I still haven't figured out—and seriously, nobody seems to have an answer—is how much food, drinks, and cake I actually need for the housewarming party? I feel like I'm gonna lose my mind if I don't get this planned soon.🙂

quietcobra52 said:Look, my guests are gonna be hanging out for three hours, traveling all the way from places like 31 miles, and they won't have lunch or anything else planned—no stopping by a buddy's house first. So, from around 2 or 3 PM until dinner at 9, that’s a solid six-hour stretch where people need food... which is why I'm going way heavier on the catering, because people are actually sitting down to eat here. I'm counting on 80 people, but it might even hit 100... I'll see once I send out the invites.

Yeah, that’s a whole different ballgame. 😉

I honestly have no clue how much I should be charging for 100 to 150 people—assuming only about half of the 300 invited actually show up.🤷
They’re planning on hanging out at my place for a full hour, too, and right in the middle of July heat on the 20th.

Henry Harris5 said:Home Depot actually has $66 right now. I saw it on their ads yesterday😁

Yeah, I saw that too today 🤣
I'm just wondering, can you actually just hop on the subway normally, or do you still need one of those specific transit cards 😕

quietcobra52 said:Yeah, right—once they finally come to collect me...

To be totally real with you, it feels like way too much to me 🤷
But I don't know... honestly, I have no clue what "enough" even looks like 🤷

quietcobra52 said:For my crowd—around 80 people—I’m grabbing 30 lbs of sweets, 25 pre-made deli platters from somewhere like Costco or Whole Foods, and just sticking to bourbon and cherry brandy for the booze. Probably looking at 25 bottles of bourbon and 15 of the cherry stuff. I did all the math based on the table count since I'm doing a seated dinner instead of a buffet... just figured out how much per table and called it a day. 😁

That works if you're hosting at home.

Hey guys, quick question... how much cake, deli meat, and booze should I actually grab if I'm hosting a crowd at my place?
I haven't even been pregnant that long, just 8 weeks 🤣

But honestly, the way they're treating me like I'm some kind of invalid? It's driving me absolutely insane 🙂
Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm suddenly incapable of doing my job 🙂

wearybison45 said:Long story short at Nikolin's Bridal Salon🙂 in Columbus, I’ve got a deposit sitting there for $233 that I’m definitely not going to use. So, I figured I’d see if any brides-to-be want to swoop in and take over this credit for $167 instead. It’s basically free money if you need a dress. Any takers? 😉

Where were you a week ago? 🤣

awesome, thanks 🙂

Henry Harris5 said:You can pick up some basic white pavilions over at the local Party City near $67... though you can usually find them at places like Walmart, Target, or even Kroger too.

That's it? Seriously? I haven't seen them anywhere :|

And I’m actually looking to rent something myself, just something small... but honestly? I can't find anything anywhere. 🙂
