Why did Jesus die? in Religion ·
Jesus didn't just die; He was taken up... And mark my words, He’s coming back down 😉

silentjackal94 said:Look, jealousy isn't "normal," and I personally couldn't deal with it. It's honestly a sign of insecurity. Just get this through your head: you can't own anyone. No one belongs to you. Once you swallow that pride and realize you can't tie someone down or force them to stay unless they actually want to be there, things get easier. My advice? You might be better off being single, because this kind of character flaw is hard to fix. Why ruin someone else's life? I've known plenty of people where irrational jealousy led to total breakdowns—worst case, they ended up hurting the people closest to them and blowing up their entire lives.

Sometimes what people call jealousy isn't even that. Half the time, those reactions aren't coming from envy, they're coming from a lack of respect or feeling undervalued...

steeltiger2 said:Man, I totally feel you on that. But hey, at least in those scenarios, you can dish it right back where it came from. So, if we're talking guys... who's the sexiest actor in your book? 😉

Look, I'm telling you... I do it out of pure spite, honestly. It’s not even because I’m actually that impressed by him. 🙂 And besides, when I act out, he doesn't end up feeling the sting nearly as much as I do.

Whatever. I try not to dwell on it too long and just let it pass. I mean, it's exhausting constantly obsessing over what he thinks or what he likes. I eventually just check out and move on.

steeltiger2 said:Roger Davis2, maybe that’s just one of those things you have to figure out. It sounds heavy, and honestly, it's kind of a bummer to admit, but I genuinely don't know how he actually sees me. He once made this comment about how women over in some other place—doesn't even matter where—are just incredibly beautiful...
They’re just... honestly, they're so stunning that you can't even wrap your head around the idea of them marrying for money. You look at them and you see this intelligence in their eyes—it's a striking, thoughtful kind of beauty. It’s genuine. I mean, I was genuinely floored when I heard the truth about them...
She said: "😢 John, be honest with me for a second—am I actually beautiful to you? Or are you just saying that because we're dating?"
On: "Oh, come on now, please... as if you don't already know how gorgeous you are.
I honestly don't know where to start with this one. It’s just... it's a lot. I was sitting there, thinking about how things used to be, and then it hit me. You know that feeling? That sudden, sharp realization that everything you thought was set in stone is actually shifting under your feet? Yeah. That. Anyway, I was reading what steeltiger2 had to say earlier, and I have to agree—mostly. There's a certain logic to it, even if it feels a bit counterintuitive at first glance. But then again, maybe I'm overthinking it. I tend to do that. My mind just wanders off into these little side quests, chasing down details that probably don't even matter in the grand scheme of things. Like, does anyone else find themselves obsessing over the smallest details of a conversation hours after it's already over? Just me? Okay. But back to the point. We need to look at the bigger picture here. If we keep ignoring the obvious signs, we're just setting ourselves up for a headache later on. It's like trying to fix a leaky faucet with duct tape—it might work for an hour, but eventually, you're going to end up with a flooded kitchen. And nobody wants that. Not even me. I'm far too lazy for that kind of cleanup. So, yeah. Let's just keep an eye on things. Stay observant. Don't let the noise distract you from what's actually happening right in front of us. It's simple, really. Or at least, it should be. I mean, I honestly don't know... I’m genuinely asking you here.
On: "Yeah, I am. Why on earth would you even ask me that?"
I honestly think people don't realize how much weight certain decisions carry. It’s like when you’re standing there, looking at all the options, and you just know—deep down—that one path is going to change everything. You can feel it in your gut. Some folks try to overanalyze every little detail, running numbers and checking charts, but sometimes you just have to trust that internal compass. It's about intuition, really. And if you ignore it? Well, you usually end up regretting it later on. Just a thought. Anyway, I could go on about this, but I'll leave it there for now. 😲 😍

Look, I get it, this kind of stuff can be a lot to process if you aren't used to it..

Take my ex, for example. He once told me his absolute dream woman—the perfect standard by his metrics—was the actress from Titanic who starred alongside Leonard..

Man 😠

I haven't been able to watch that movie again, or even listen to that soundtrack... It just makes me feel sick.. 🙂

Hey, steeltiger2,

Just tell him straight up: stop coming at you with that nonsense. He needs to realize you couldn't care less about his little popularity contest or who’s crushing on him. Honestly, the whole thing sounds incredibly pathetic—like he's dealing with some massive inferiority complex and has convinced himself everyone is head over heels for him just to feel better about himself...

Tell him that kind of slimy ego trip is just gross, and frankly, it’s a far cry from what you actually look for in a man. 😁😉

Professional counseling... it seems to be the big trend lately. I suppose all those high-priced psychologists and psychiatrists have to make a living somehow 😉... but professional help versus a few swats on the backside? I'm picking the latter. 😁

Exactly. Sometimes, psychological abuse used as punishment leaves much deeper scars on a kid's personality than a little spanking ever could
.
Physical hitting is a whole different story—that's a sign of a broken mindset. But every now and then, when a kid is just being straight-up defiant because they know you "can't" touch them, I don't think a quick swat is the worst thing in the world

How do you stay motivated? in Psychology ·
My faith is where I find my drive.

It’s the simple fact that that world is the only one worth working for... the eternal one.

Once you look at life through that lens, you realize there just isn't enough time left on the clock to waste on being lazy or unmotivated.

I stopped by the school today to talk to my son's teacher. I laid out exactly what’s going on and asked if they could just move them to different classes, but she had this whole other take. Apparently, she’s noticed this kid tries to boss everyone around to act like the leader, but she claims she hasn't seen him actually get physical with anyone. She promised she’d keep a closer eye on how he and my boy interact from now on. 🙄

Reading through all your comments really gave me pause. To be honest, I don't want my son to end up looking like some little snitch or a total mama's boy. If that happens, he’ll just become an even bigger target for bullies, and I can't have that. I'd much rather handle this indirectly—working through the teacher or a school counselor... 🤷

I'm also taking it to heart when people say I need to tell my kid to stand his ground if things get ugly again..

Look, I'm not teaching him to go out and look for trouble or use force just because he can. But if someone decides to swing first, he needs to be able to hit back...

And if that kid keeps pushing the limits and things escalate, I won't hesitate to have a very serious word with both that brat and his parents..

Thanks to everyone for the advice. It really helped me figure out my next move. 🙂

I think I’m heading straight to the front office tomorrow to talk to his teacher. I’m hoping she’s got some common sense about this. I’ll tell her to move their seats, but I really don't want her making a scene or letting the kids know I’m the one who complained. I just want her to andhandle things discreetly...

Anyway, what am I supposed to tell my son? How should he handle it if that little brat starts mocking him again 😕

Do I tell him to report it to the teacher, just ignore the kid, or actually stand his ground???

I’m turning to you guys because I honestly don't know what to do... I need some advice.

My kid is in second grade, and he came home from school way earlier than usual today. At first, he claimed his stomach was hurting, but then he changed his story—said it wasn't his stomach, but his leg, because he tripped in the playground. Then, just when I thought we had it figured out, he switches it again, saying he didn't even fall at school, he just hurt himself playing soccer yesterday...
He finally admitted the truth: none of that was real. He just couldn't handle being in class because he's terrified of the kid sitting next to him.😢

Allegedly, this little guy acts like the boss of the classroom. He constantly picks on my son, and the other kids usually jump right in to join the teasing. There hasn't been any actual physical fighting yet, but if my son doesn't do things exactly how this kid wants them done, he gets threatened with being hit and all that kind of stuff...

What do you think is the smartest move here? I'm really worried about him.😢
What causes fetishes? in Psychology ·
I think I’m finally starting to wrap my head around why my husband is so obsessed with my feet... It never really clicked for me before.
I mean, I’m clearly not some kind of fetishist myself...

wiredmaker18 said:Arousal, obviously. It's the same deal if breasts are your thing too. I'm not talking about the standard view where everyone's supposed to be turned on by them. Feet are more of a specialized niche. They aren't just generic body parts like asses or tits. To me, fetishes for parts of the body that aren't inherently sexual baits feel more intimate. For instance, someone might find feet totally gross, while someone else could spend all day with a woman's feet on their face and love every second... whereas nobody really calls breasts "gross" unless they're just flat as pancakes.

Gotcha. So, what you're saying is, when you see a pair of nice feet, it triggers that urge to have sex, right?

wanderingscout22 said:How do I actually move past this? I really don't want to be defined by a fetish... though, if I'm being honest, I know for a fact that I am when it comes to feet.

I'm curious about what you guys actually feel when you see feet. Is it passion? Pure arousal? Just a physical rush?

Is looking at a woman's feet basically the same high as looking at her chest??🤷
