A few good laughs, followed by 40 minutes of pure desperation.
Better than your average mindless comedy, but definitely not high art.

To each their own. Personally, I thought it was hilarious (especially the dark humor), and judging by the IMDb ratings, most people seem to feel the same way.👍.

I caught the midnight premiere at AMC Theatres yesterday, and I have to say, the movie is brutally funny.😂😂 It’s easily one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen.👍

rustywalker42 said:Look, if you've ever set foot in a Muslim country, you'd know what you just said makes zero sense. It’s not common sense—it’s just a blatant provocation and an insult to the victims. A buddy of mine spent six months in Afghanistan, so spare me the fairy tales.
Anyway, here's some actual reading material for you. Give it a look; maybe it'll open your eyes (probably not, since you don't believe anything I say and apparently we're all liars):

http://www.cursor.org/stories/civilian_deaths.htm

It’s a pretty deep dive by Professor Marc Herold from the University of New Hampshire. He’s looking at figures between 3,000 and 4,000 civilian deaths caused by US airstrikes.
You won't read it. You aren't that type. But it's a shame, because here's an American guy writing exactly what we're talking about, laid out in detail over about 50 pages.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I still think we're talking about terrorists.

Fair enough. Some people probably still think Elvis Presley is alive too.

Since the governor didn't provide evidence of civilians after requesting NATO forces.

Oh, so the Americans provided proof they were terrorists?

So, you read it? Every war has civilian casualties. What exactly are you expecting? That NATO forces, acting under United Nations blessing in Afghanistan, can somehow aim perfectly at terrorists hiding among civilians? That’s just the nature of war; there will always be collateral damage. Get real. What's your ideal scenario? A war without civilian deaths? If you manage to pull that off, let me know.

You're right about that. Some people actually believe Elvis Presley is still alive.

There are also those who act like Adolf Hitler had no idea about the concentration camps throughout the Reich.

By the way, did the Americans provide proof that they were actually terrorists?

It wasn't just the Americans; it was coalition forces. The fact that the general was American is irrelevant. Those coalition forces don't have access to that terrain. I find it much easier to believe they were terrorists who ambushed the coalition with grenades than to believe it was 19 women and children driving to a wedding. I've stated my position on this, and I'm done.

If you were actually standing there looking at dead women and children, you’d probably just claim it was all staged to fit your narrative.

People like you hunt for the tiniest sliver of "proof" to support theories that make zero sense, all while completely ignoring the massive mountain of evidence sitting right in front of your faces...

The fact that you're throwing links from some obscure IHL group at me while I'm giving you a link from the BBC speaks volumes about where we stand.

You're a textbook example of someone who needs their brain washed a few times a day just to function. It's feeding frenzy time for people like you—people who simply refuse to think for themselves.

I have stated my opinion and I stand by it. As for the "brainwashing" talk, let's be clear: I'm not the one consuming random propaganda on YouTube or sketchy websites. I've made my point, and I consider the matter closed.

swiftcrane96 said:Hey, vividrider3, does it really not bother you that Americans killed a million and a half people in Iraq? And yet, you’re still out here backing them to go after Iran.

Your numbers are wrong, and I have no idea how this relates to the topic, much less how Americans are responsible for the exact death toll in Iraq.

neonpilot38 said:And look at that link you posted—it's a perfect example of how there's a massive media machine backing up American atrocities, spinning heavy propaganda to protect our military's actions!

What that outlet you cited is publishing is nothing more than blatant media manipulation.😉

Check out what your source is actually reporting:
The province's governor said 22 civilians, including a woman and a child, were killed.

Now, here is what the BBC is saying:
Deh bal district governor Hamish Gul told Associated Press that 22 people had been killed in the strike - 19 of them women and children - and several more wounded.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7492601.stm

Even the local news site I pulled my article from used the exact same statement, translated directly from the BBC:
The governor of the Deh bal district in Afghanistan, Hamish Gul, confirmed to the Associated Press that 22 people were killed in the attack, 19 of whom were women or children.

So, after all that, why don't you tell me who exactly is running the propaganda here???
Pathetic.

I think anyone with half a brain can see something is off when they talk about 19 women and children traveling in two cars. Nineteen women and children without any protection from their men, especially in a country like Afghanistan. Furthermore, the article itself admits:

It was impossible to verify any of the claims independently because of the remoteness of the area.

People can believe what they want, but I'm leaning toward this being terrorists. After the NATO forces arrived, the local governor failed to provide any evidence that they were actually civilians.

Josip Broz Marshall... and look what he left us... a total disaster! Nobody is out here worshiping Francisco Franco. Instead... I'm just sitting here wondering... who exactly are we putting on a pedestal... and why? What kind of logic are we even using?
Our big idol was a man who sanctioned mass killings... all under the banner of "justice" and "anti-fascism" and some glorious future?
And at the end of the day... where did this "bright future" actually lead us? Because his so-called anti-fascist heroes... they just ended up breeding the worst kind of thugs and criminals!
Meanwhile... just down the road... that "fascist" left behind actual order and a decent future for his people (especially compared to our catastrophic shared history and endless blunders)!

I am not interested in Marshall because he isn't the point. That said, I view Marshall as a criminal, just like Francisco Franco. However, your idealization of a common murderer and dictator is fascinating. How can you speak of a "bright future" when a dictator slaughters 300,000 innocent people? Do you honestly think the families of those victims look back and thank Francisco Franco for his version of a bright future? It is truly incredible how some people think. From an economic standpoint, one could argue about the supposed benefits Franco left behind for the people of Spain.

Furthermore, this story serves as blatant evidence of how Muslim propaganda operates. The reality is that 22 people were killed during that coalition strike, and only one woman and one child were among them. I have no idea where the person pushing this narrative gets the claim of 19 women and children from. The truth is that the casualties in this attack were terrorists who had spent earlier that day raining grenades down on coalition forces. No civilians were lost—just despicable terrorists.

Why all the outrage? crimsonranger38 simply stated an opinion without insulting anyone or crossing any lines. I have no idea what grounds certain people are using to demand a ban. It seems some individuals are clearly struggling to comprehend what's actually being written here.

Sure, there were plenty of "quiet operations" where a minority representative, Hussein (a Sunni), slaughtered and killed the majority. Talk about prosperity—give me a break. It’s enough to make you lose your mind.

Basically, I just wrote "you're an idiot and I'm smart."😁.

goldensailor15 said:Since January 2008, more than one million (1,000,000) American civilians have been killed...some estimates even push it up to 1,500,000 people.

So, what is this, a Holocaust for you guys on the forums? Or is this just some side effect of fighting for freedom, libertarianism, and democracy...over in Iraq??

The Americans turned those few thousand victims at the Towers into a massive tragedy... so what’s the deal with this? Is every life really equal? Or are some lives just a bit more equal than others?

Looking at these numbers, Saddam Hussein looks like a total amateur.

And now we have people preaching about pseudo-prosperity and all those other fairy tales that supposedly carry the USA.
One thing is certain, though: they bring nothing but devastation, death, poverty, the complete fracturing of entire societies, and a whole bunch of other lovely things. History and humanity are going to remember the USA with nothing but shame and disgust, I'm sure of it. In a way, Hiroshima, Korea, later Vietnam, and everything else that followed defined their fate... there's no escaping it. No rewriting history either. What's 100, 200, or 300 years to humanity and the grand sweep of history? It's nothing...

Basically, I'm smart and you're an idiot😉. That million figure belongs to the conscience of those you defend—the terrorists or the Shias and Sunnis who manufactured that million through their own fratricidal actions.

Lisa Walker31 said:Now, that same guy, Franco... he was actually brave enough to steer that very same country toward democracy and integration into the modern EU
(unlike our own second Marshall😉)! In the end, he left behind a nation that looked almost exactly like what his sworn enemies, the Republicans, wanted to build in the first place. Talk about being pragmatic!
And another thing... America is going to be under a microscope for a long, long time, and the main reason for that is Jasenovac. Whether it was 3,000 victims or 300,000, it’s a terrible "advertisement" that sticks for ages. Sure, there were horrific massacres in Spain too, like Guernica and all that, but none of those events fit into Hitler's project of Radio Free Europe. 😉The simple truth is that Franco's role wasn't anything like Pavelić's when it came to Hitler😠...so there really isn't any massive parallel to draw here. Unlike America, which was forced to participate in the liquidation of Jews... Franco and his diplomats actually provided safe transit asylum to many Jews fleeing from the Nazis.😉 No matter how much of a "Fascist" he was... the man had nothing to do with Hitler's madness, and he certainly didn't try to play God!😳

Sure, he was "clever" enough to kill over 300,000 of his own countrymen—that's how clever he was. I don't know how much intelligence you need to have to suck up to a common murderer and dictator.

The monument to that criminal dictator—a man who slaughtered his own people—has finally been taken down. It’s funny how certain anti-Western, hardline communist types always seem to find ways to spin the narrative whenever something goes against their agenda.
Bomb attacks in World ·

The U.S. Secretary of State condemned the suicide bombing that occurred Monday near the American embassy in Islamabad, leaving eight people dead, according to news agencies. Local police reports indicate that at least eight individuals were killed and 30 others injured in the car bomb attack, per Agence France-Presse. "One can only condemn this attack; it is horrific that terrorists commit such acts," Moeller told CNN, as reported by Reuters. Moeller noted he is currently unsure if any American citizens are among the casualties. According to the Associated Press, the U.S. President has yet to issue a statement regarding the devastating blast, which leveled two buildings opposite the embassy and ignited several parked vehicles. The agency added that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. The U.S. had previously withdrawn most of its diplomatic staff from Islamabad after five major American newspapers reprinted, in the name of free speech, one of the 12 caricatures of the prophet Muhammad. Those drawings, originally published in 2005 by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, sparked violent protests by Muslims worldwide, resulting in numerous casualties. (H)
