Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
brightcyclist2 said:I was wondering, does your keyboard actually respond when you hit a key during that initial boot sequence—you know, when it asks you to "press any key to boot from cd or dvd..."? Basically, can you tell if the keyboard is registering input while those little dots are spinning on the screen? ...

Yes, it does... I actually just finished installing Windows XP SP3 a moment ago, mostly out of the hope that there might have been some sort of glitch during the previous installation process. After that, I gave it another shot to try and install Windows 7, but unfortunately, I ran into the exact same issue again... nothing worked.🤷

Regarding that bolded part, it's pretty standard—Windows installs via the boot process.

Alternatively, it might just be that your DVD drive is having trouble reading the disc; maybe try burning it again at a lower speed onto a higher-quality DVD media.

I think I follow what the picture is showing... but it doesn't explicitly say it's booting. Everything in my BIOS seems to be configured correctly, so I'm starting to suspect the issue is simply that my DVD drive can't read this specific disc.🤷

Joshua Garcia3 said:Hold on, are you actually planning on setting up a dual boot system with both Windows XP and Windows 7, or...

Oh, no, I'm already running Windows XP SP2, I just want to get Windows 7 installed on top of it..

I'm a little perplexed here... it isn't exactly my first time installing Windows... but for some reason, the DVD won't allow me to boot from it, even though I've double-checked everything in the BIOS and it all seems to be set up correctly.
And when I attempt to launch the installation manually through My Computer, I just run into a
Windows Installer ERROR
which looks like this... LINK...

So, if anyone could lend a hand, I'd truly appreciate it... oh, and just to clarify, my hardware meets all the necessary requirements for Windows 7.

So, what would you all recommend? I’m honestly at a bit of a loss here... what should my next move be? A close friend of mine managed to get everything installed without any trouble at all, yet for some reason, I can't seem to make it work on my end. I just don't quite grasp why it's being so difficult for me specifically.

Well...
I keep running into an error whenever I try to install Windows 7..
Basically, everything seems fine when I insert the DVD into the drive, but instead of loading the installation files, it just throws a "Windows installer error" at me..
I'm honestly a bit stumped—does anyone have any idea what might be causing this hiccup?
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Health ·

Haha, well, honestly, those eight months of boxing might not be doing much for your physique... I personally spent three years in the ring, from age 14 to 17, and while my technique became quite solid, I didn't put on a single pound of muscle.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂...In my case, I stand about 6'3" and used to weigh somewhere between 165 and 183 lbs... if your goal is to build actual muscle, I'd suggest focusing on putting on some bulk first before you worry too much about hitting your protein macros...
Nowadays, I’m about 6'4" and weighing in at around 207 lbs... I started hitting the gym regularly, and I seem to gain about two pounds every month or so, though it's a slow process. That initial layer of fat I picked up from all that mass gainer—you know, the stuff you can buy at any supplement shop—is slowly burning off as I lean out.

P.S. Where were you training boxing? (Was it one of those big gyms like Gold's Gym, Planet Fitness, or maybe an old-school local club in Chicago or New York?)
