Why do you keep feeding your ego? in Psychology ·

It seems to be clear evidence that most of you hold that exact same view.
Where is all this supposed self-confidence? Why on earth do you require constant validation through compliments, you insecure little creatures?

Next time my wife gets a compliment from someone, I'll just march right up and ask if that's really what they meant. ☕

And why is that? Well, if I found out my girlfriend needed constant validation just to function, I wouldn't bother giving her a single compliment ever again.
And please, spare me all this talk about SELF-CONFIDENCE when you people are practically begging for a pat on the back every single day. Honestly, get lost. You're all just being foolish.

Why do people feel the need to feed their own egos? Why is there such an insatiable craving for compliments? I suppose some individuals simply love being told pleasant things, even when, in most instances, it isn't actually true but is instead used merely as a way to charm someone...
