Is it because you aren't getting enough praise—even if it's fake—that makes you act like Michelle Cox84????☕

Yeah.

for example.... (hypothetical girl/situation)
Girl has a guy like Bill Clinton...
And every little while, some other dude gives her a compliment... and Bill Clinton does nothing....
Obviously she’s gonna feel good about it and enjoy the attention...

Bill Clinton stays Bill Clinton.

Where is all this supposed self-confidence? Why on earth do you require constant validation through compliments, you insecure little creatures?

Hmm, one might actually want to pause and consider who the insecure party truly is here. ☕

My ego is officially too massive—it doesn't even need more fuel to grow anymore!

Because they are pleasant... why on earth do people crave pleasantness? It is simply because it feels good! Good heavens, what more is there to say about it... 🤷
even if it isn't strictly accurate... what matters most is the flattery... 👍

🤣

I enjoy them... mostly because it happens to be true.🙂

I seriously can't believe how often people say things without actually meaning them. It’s wild. Honestly, I think it just comes down to self-esteem—like, how much you can actually stomach taking a compliment without thinking someone's just being nice to your face. And why do we crave that validation so much? Because, at the end of the day, we all need some kind of feedback loop to know we're doing okay. When you're just staring at yourself in the mirror, you have no clue if what you're seeing is even close to reality...

Probably because their boyfriends don't bother with the flattery or enough praise to keep them from getting too full of themselves. 🙄

So they have to look elsewhere. 😁

Is this topic a bit trivial? Perhaps. But let’s be honest—everyone enjoys a little bit of praise and some kind words now and then. There isn't anything particularly strange or controversial about wanting to hear something nice...

I've never been one to live for compliments, particularly when they feel insincere or hollow 👎

And why is that? Well, if I found out my girlfriend needed constant validation just to function, I wouldn't bother giving her a single compliment ever again.
And please, spare me all this talk about SELF-CONFIDENCE when you people are practically begging for a pat on the back every single day. Honestly, get lost. You're all just being foolish.

but you just know deep down that the person saying it doesn't actually MEAN it???

Why wouldn't they mean it?

say some guy in town tells your girlfriend she looks hot, loves her hair, likes her outfit....

Why would he lie? What's the point in lying?

Good grief, everyone, if I were to actually start handing out bans... wait, have I already begun??? Very well then... I certainly have no intention of issuing any penalties for the sake of trolling or petty insults... that would be far too simple.. 🙂

Of course. My thanks to the most deeply insecure individual on Reddit this year.
Just keep up that wonderful attitude, and maybe next year you'll finally win that prestigious year 2009 award.
