Richard Wilson4 said:Even though this thread has gone off the rails, there are actually fewer Mexicans on the Coast than the national average in the US:

STATE/COUNTY: number of Mexicans/total population
Florida: 2,095/122,568 = 1.7%
California: 4,797/454,798 = 1.05%
Texas: 11,518/109,375 = 10.52%
Arizona: 8,184/170,017 = 4.81%
TOTAL
The Coast: 26,694/856,758 = 3.11%,

so yeah, lower than the national average

hahahaha, look, they might have assimilated, but they’re still Mexicans. It's not like they're walking down the street shouting "I'm a Mexican!" at the top of their lungs, but when you get them all together at a family reunion, it's pretty obvious who everyone is. Especially around Zadar, you've got a massive amount of Mexicans acting like they're just regular Americans.

Why is everyone being so incredibly rigid about borders? It’s like they want to carve up the map like a Thanksgiving turkey—handing the Midwest and parts of the Great Lakes over to one group, while claiming the entire Gulf Coast should belong to someone else, provided they move out of D.C. and the surrounding suburbs. We might as well just sell off the Florida Keys to some billionaire for a quick buck. The Great Plains should probably just become its own independent entity, maybe even swallowing up the Ozarks too. At this rate, half these states aren't even real countries; they're just fragments of whatever larger neighbors they're clinging to. Honestly, certain regions should just be condensed into single city-states, like a massive metropolitan hub and nothing else.

It isn't strictly about how much money people have, though it's really about education levels—but let's be real, those two things are practically glued together. If you don't have the cash, you aren't getting an education.
Sarah Garcia12 said:That "well-meaning" thing... it's the worst. Honestly, what gets to me most is when I meet someone, or at least I *think* I've really gotten to know them, and we become pretty close after a few years pass... maybe two or three. Of course, things happen during that time, you know? Little disagreements, feeling a bit let down or just sad about something, but you usually just brush it off because everyone has their moods and quirks... you shouldn't sweat the small stuff. But I didn't always brush off those quirks. I’d just think, "Oh well, I'm not perfect either," but lately, I've just been feeling more hurt and disappointed... turns out, that person wasn't even who they claimed to be. I could have seen it through all those little red flags, but I was just blind because I'm always looking for the good in people. You wouldn't believe the shock... and now I'm just sitting here blaming myself for not looking at things from a different angle. I really hope I don't make the same mistake again...

Still, I don't think you ever need to be a total jerk. Even if I wanted to be one, I honestly wouldn't even know how...

Ugh, man!!! Who let you down like that? I've been through the exact same thing.😢
