In this particular scenario, the customer wasn't actually looking for a resolution; they were just looking for a fight. If they didn't want a replacement or a refund, then what was the point? Even a four-year-old could see through the act—this person just wanted to vent their frustrations and kill some time.
Honestly, I’d be more than happy to toss in a pound of salt with their bread for free and give them a good kick in the backside just to make sure they never set foot in my shop again.
