Vigilante, this is spot on! 😂
It doesn't take away from the computer's value... 😉

Lost Friends, it’s great reading this post.
It's actually a privilege to have this outlet—to be able to share what's on our minds.
To find people who, more often than not, at least understand a part of it, or offer a real response.
There are usually plenty of people jumping in to react, answer, or offer encouragement.

The only downside is that being anonymous online means you can't reach out and offer a hand or a pat on the back.
You can't go for a walk together. You can't just grab a coffee downtown.

But you can gain perspective, reflect, and rethink things. You get new ideas, and then you move forward.
Pretty good, isn't it?

I had a friend who was perpetually single.
For the longest time, I tried to nudge her to just let go, relax... fall in love... get out there...
.. but nothing worked.
She felt it wasn't for her—that she wasn't attractive enough, interesting enough, or someone anyone would care about.
I kept pushing occasionally, and she’d periodically wonder if she even had the right to seek anything
- especially whenever I was venting about my own romantic drama or life struggles. 🙄
She was just alone, sort of pathetic in a way... honestly, it used to make me sad.

Then she met "him." I did everything in my power to make sure they actually crossed paths.
Now, knock knock knock—they're a happy couple. And she’s blossomed so much you barely recognize her anymore.😉

While I was initially satisfied—proud of myself for fostering both her hope and their introduction..
.. now I’m not quite sure where my credit lies—it all feels a bit faded.
.. but it doesn't really matter. What matters is that she’s finally in good company.
I'm losing my mind, or maybe I already have in Psychology ·
There are some truly good people in this space.. 👍 offering solid advice and perspective..

Burnout, constant tension, insomnia.. that gnawing insecurity caused by market volatility, a silent boss, or just incompetent coworkers.. having zero time for family, a walk, or even just breathing.. it all adds up until you feel like you’re hitting a breaking point. But a little support from colleagues, friends, strangers, or fellow forum members.. that actually matters, doesn't it? Just realizing you aren't alone—that it's not all in your head—can change everything.

The direction we're sliding toward feels insane.. more pressure than ever, while feeling like everything could vanish in an instant. Is that even possible?

Ernest Hemingway's "Hunger" helped me grasp that sensation of slipping into an surreal, bizarre, maddening situation.. one where it feels like there's no way out.

But sometimes there is a way out. Sometimes it takes a hand. A few words. Some warmth. It can trigger a strength you forgot you had. Sometimes it’s just a random word from a stranger. A moment of kindness that restores your faith in yourself and reminds you that good exists. Or a joke that hits just right and turns the whole thing around.
