My doctor was being covered by someone else, and when I went in for my 7-month paperwork, she told me I was TOO EARLY and to come back around the 30th (which is today!!!) 😕 But she handed everything out perfectly fine to her "own" patients—I saw it with my own eyes!! It was never "too early" for them.
Ugh, I swear, they can just swap people out whenever they feel like it. One time, I went in for maternity leave papers and there were like twelve women ahead of me, including pregnant ladies and stuff, so I just pulled a U-turn and headed straight home. Sent my mom instead the next day (she got there at 7 AM and knocked it all out in one go)... honestly, that local clinic is like a bunker. No AC, and those high ceilings make it feel like some old government building from the 70s. I was absolutely livid.
Frank Morales6 said:I’m heading to the clinic today for my scan—and let’s just say I’ve definitely got the biggest bump in the room. The waiting room is packed; two guys actually showed up for their 4D ultrasounds. Then there’s a whole crowd of women who aren't even pregnant, and nobody is saying anything. One girl, whose belly was actually smaller than mine, had the nerve to get up and offer me her chair. I didn't take it since the room cleared out pretty fast anyway. But honestly, what is the deal with these pregnant women showing up with their husbands? Why don't they ever say anything to them if it doesn't cross their minds to speak up?
Honestly, even if they're pregnant, some people are just clueless—they were probably like this before they even conceived. Where is the world heading? We really need to make "Basic Manners 101" a mandatory subject in elementary school.
kika78 said:Those kinds of comments drive me crazy too. 🙄 Why does everyone feel the need to ask pregnant women, "Wow, you're getting huge," or "Are you rolling instead of walking?"
Honestly, it’s just tacky and rude. It feels like people are just hovering, waiting for you to gain weight because you were always skinny and they were secretly jealous of your figure—now they finally get a chance to take a shot at you. I definitely get that vibe, especially since I noticed most of the comments come from women who are actually overweight themselves.
I’ve never said that to a pregnant woman in my life. I don't go around telling anyone they're fat, so why would I start with someone expecting a baby?
So my neighbor asks how I’m doing, and when I tell her I'm exhausted, she hits me with the "Oh, why?!" 😠
Ever since then, whenever anyone asks, I just tell them life is perfect. Everything's great, nothing's new, no aches or pains, sleeping like a baby, eating well, going to the bathroom once a day, and—just so we're clear—I am definitely not pregnant... I just put on a little weight...
I’m gonna use the exact same script for the baby, too. Everything is wonderful, the little guy nurses perfectly, sleeps through the entire night without waking up or crying, gaining weight like a champ, no rashes, no colic... just pure perfection.
It honestly drives me crazy how much people stare... especially my grandma. She just can't seem to take her eyes off my stomach. I try to act like I don't notice, but I can practically feel them running the numbers in their heads—calculating my weight, guessing the gender, figuring out how far along I am... they look at me like they're some kind of Terminator 🤣🤣
Looks like everyone’s complaining about their shitty bosses—mine is a private sector guy too, so I basically have to squeeze every bit of info out of him with pliers... and even then, he just gives me enough scraps to make me figure it out myself. Man, making a straight "yes" or "no" call is such a pain...
Douglas Booth22 said:A person would love to get some rest in the afternoon, but my nights have been brutal—insomnia, the heat, constant trips to the bathroom, mosquitoes, moths... the works. To make matters worse, there's zero peace on my street. Between obnoxious kids running wild, tourists making a racket, and someone constantly grinding away at something, I can't catch a break. 😠 Honestly, it’s frustrating how some people lack even a shred of common sense. They don't seem to understand that there should be quiet hours from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
Around 9:30 every night, my neighbor starts drilling through the walls, and then by 9 AM, someone's having loud sex... I don't get how people aren't bothered—like, just move your bed away from the wall... the whole apartment complex heard that one
AC repair guys are seriously getting on my nerves lately. I’ve been sitting on hold for 40 minutes or just getting a busy signal... like, is it really too early to take a call at 9 AM? Apparently, making a living is just too much to ask these days. $333 😠
Ugh, speaking of the FBI—I have to go renew my driver's license. I'm thinking about showing up at 7 AM just to dodge the crowds... honestly, I'm terrified of the lines.
Woke up with a leg cramp from hell this morning, so now I’m basically hobbling and limping around like an old lady. Honestly, I'm so pissed because I can't get anything done—especially since we're finally pulling the trigger on buying an AC unit!
I’ve hit up the Walmart on Broadway, the one in the mall, and even the local Target, and not once did a cashier try to cut me in line. At Target, the lady actually started counting out her big bills before she even grabbed my stuff, just so she wouldn't have to deal with the math at the end... honestly, I lost it. Now I’m kicking myself for not just leaving all my groceries right there on the belt and walking straight to the manager. My feet were absolutely killing me that day since I hadn't picked up my orthopedic inserts for my flat feet yet. I am officially done with Walmart. In my book, it's easily the most overpriced store in the US with the slowest staff you'll ever encounter.
I don't mind people touching my stomach since it’s always just people I love—my girlfriends, cousins, aunts, and honestly, no guy has ever touched me besides my husband, dad, and obviously my dog 😁
Anyway, back to the snoring... that wasn't our only issue. My husband used to talk in his sleep and grind his teeth constantly (which is a total nightmare when you're trying to pass out), so I finally sent him to the dentist to get one of those night guards made. It worked wonders... we actually got lucky because his bleeding gums stopped too
Here we go again today: "How big is your belly?? It’s huge!! You must be having twins! But you aren't even seven months along yet, you look nine months pregnant!!!" etc.
Next scenario: I'm just chilling at home with my husband, enjoying some peace, but the only thing that could actually drag me out of the house is a doctor's appointment because I've had absolutely enough of all these comments...
Ugh, early on in my pregnancy, he actually had the nerve to tell me I was out of shape because I wasn't walking fast enough or whatever... meanwhile, I’m standing there looking like a ghost because the morning sickness literally wiped 7 pounds off me. Man, I let him have it. That was probably the last smart thing he ever said to me.
Now, the belly is the biggest struggle when I'm trying to sleep... it feels like my entire stomach is doing somersaults along with the baby. Then my arms go numb, then it's constant bathroom runs, then his snoring... plus I'm sweating through everything. Honestly, I'd happily just crawl into the fridge and live there.
Honestly, after everything I went through personally, I just couldn't face attending any more funerals... it was just too much. And being pregnant? I have no clue if I'd even have the energy to show up. Besides, it's absolutely sweltering out there right now, and I can barely stand still for 15 minutes without melting.
And don't even get me started on the bathroom situation—I'm basically sprinting to the toilet just to deal with ten measly drops.
I've been such a grouch the last few days, crying at everything, feeling overheated, and just generally on edge. I just want to feel like a normal human again, you know? Like, give me PMS once a month, not every single damn day.
Ugh, people can be so incredibly petty and jealous. We just moved into our new place and my mother-in-law is already acting like "Oh, just you wait..." Then I get pregnant again and suddenly it's "Oh, let's see how much you actually enjoy having another kid..." blablabla.
It’s honestly pathetic... how can anyone be that bitter when it's about the happiness of your child?
I should be jumping for joy, not dealing with all this nonsense and people trying to rain on my parade with their comments.
It’s been sweltering lately, and every time I mention it, everyone's like, "It's not even that hot in your house." Like, okay, maybe for you, but I'm melting over here. And then they hit me with the constant "How are you? Are you doing okay?" interrogation.
Seriously, you literally can't say anything.
At this point, I just have to say "I'm fine, everything's great," because if you're even slightly honest about feeling off, people immediately shut you down and tell you you're exaggerating. I've stopped sharing anything real because I'll just end up getting nothing but attitude from my own mother.😠
Frank Morales6 said:I had such a horrible experience that I spent almost the entire day in tears. I went down to the DMV 12 miles out in the heat, with temperatures climbing north of 90 degrees, just to deregister my car. The woman behind the counter flat-out refused to take my license plates because she claimed they looked dusty, essentially telling me to get lost and go home to wash them first. To make matters worse, she started making snide comments, acting like I thought being pregnant entitled me to some kind of special treatment. She even implied she didn't want to touch the plates because she was afraid of catching some kind of disease from them. Obviously, I wasn't about to turn around and head home, so I told her I’d just wipe them down with a wet wipe if she really thought they were that dirty—they weren't, honestly, my husband had just cleaned them. Then she threatened to call her colleagues over unless I stepped outside immediately. So, I walked out, wiped them down, and suddenly they were "clean enough" for her. Honestly, part of me regrets not letting her call those colleagues, because since it was just the two of us, how could I ever prove what she said to me? The main reason I actually stepped outside was because I felt the tears starting to well up, and I refused to give her—or anyone else there—the satisfaction of seeing me break down. But it doesn't matter; I'm waiting for my chance, and I won't forget her face. What irritated me most was finding out later that she actually has two kids of her own. It just goes to show you what kind of women we can be.
Too bad you didn't call her manager...
I've noticed that whenever I board a subway car, everyone moves away from me—like they're trying to make sure they don't accidentally bump into me, you know how people get when they're shoving around. I don't mind it, I just wonder if I'm really that huge or something.😁
A cashier at Publix put all my items in the cart for me—I honestly couldn't believe it.
Same here, though back when I actually had a flat stomach and wasn't showing yet... I bet they made the exact same faces once I got closer... I’m just gonna print the due date and gender on a T-shirt... I am way too exhausted to keep repeating myself
😁 Basically, dodging the drama is my number one strategy. (And honestly, I stick to it.) I’ve realized there are times when people are giving me advice and I don't even hear a word they say because I just subconsciously tune them out.🤣
