It’s driving me absolutely insane—my hands and feet are constantly burning. It’s especially aggravating because my extremities are usually ice cold, so this sudden heat is totally throwing me off. When I’m out shopping, I honestly just want to crawl into one of those big walk-in freezers at Whole Foods; I find myself grabbing frozen items just to try and quench the fire in my palms... when I’m walking down the street, I’m tempted to just kick my shoes off and go barefoot—heaven forbid there isn't a puddle nearby to step in. At home, I’m always barefoot, and I spend way too much time running my hands under ice water. It’s maddening. I dealt with something similar during my first pregnancy, though that didn't show up until the very end. Now, I've just hit the start of my second trimester and it's already happening again.
Elizabeth Edwards10 said:If you need some solidarity, we got the keys to our place last August. We planned to move by late October or November. Last November, I told my husband, "Look, I'm pregnant. I won't be able to handle a move when I'm six months along; it's going to get too hard." He just laughed it off, saying, "Come on, we aren't moving that late. We'll be in the new place before Christmas!" Needless to say, he hadn't even started working on anything by mid-January (he actually built the kitchen himself with a friend). I imagined celebrating a birthday in our own home in April and growing a bunch of plants on the terrace. Instead, I ended up heading to the hospital. Luckily, I was only there for a week, mostly because he didn't lift a finger until after I gave birth. Then his logic was that once I delivered, he’d still have at least three days to finish everything. After the birth, he spent a month complaining about the move and doing a bit of cleaning (we ended up hiring a professional cleaner who scrubbed the whole place for five hours—bless her soul). So, I came home from the hospital to a new apartment, and the very first thing I did was try to put sheets on the bed and the crib, because everything was just sitting there in bags I had packed and labeled before leaving for the hospital. Of course, he had no idea what was in any of them. Two months later, a mountain of our stuff is still sitting at my sister's house. In the kitchen, the countertop isn't even secured to the wall yet, and the dishwasher is just sitting there unanchored, though it works. The living room cabinet doesn't even have doors, and we don't have the cash to fix it right now, but whatever—at least we moved in. Honestly, I don't stress over it, not even the lack of money. My hormones drive me in a completely different direction. Once you have the baby, none of this matters.

Well, props to 🙏 🙏 🙏 And obviously, not to him, but to you. 👍

I pretty much moved everything myself—I just handled the packing of clothes and dishes, and I felt so guilty that I couldn't help him more. 😢 I don't know why I'm being so sensitive and immobile, but I just can't... the day we moved in, all I managed to do was wipe down a few kitchen cabinets (not even all of them) and one bedroom closet so we could put the clothes away, and that was it.

Now I'm four days away from my due date. My midwife keeps telling me I look great, but I feel like a total wreck—just shuffling from the chair to the couch, then to the bathroom, and back again... and as much as I'm panicking that life will never be the same after a few days, I'm also dying to get back to some semblance of normalcy. This is exhausting.👎
Sarah Harris5 said:honestly those babies are hilarious—just like walking ultrasound machines
you should’ve just opened a sportsbook and cashed in on all those guesses 😁

I’m honestly driving myself crazy. I have a mountain of stuff to do for the nursery, but I can’t get anything done without taking like a hundred breaks. I need to step outside for air, I can’t even bend over without feeling it... everything is just exhausting and my energy is
Basically, by the time I’m five months along with the next one, everything will be ready. This pregnancy is a total slog, and then my husband has the nerve to ask when I’m finally going to finish cleaning, while I’m sitting here losing my mind because I can’t do it all alone
And back when I actually wanted to buy the furniture and get things organized, it was always "we don't have the cash right now," or "just wait," or "what's the rush? we still have time"😠
This sucks. I definitely didn't picture things ending up like this😢

Yeah, "we have time"—exactly. But what they don't realize, and honestly won't ever understand, is that regardless of how much time you technically have left before delivery, there are certain things you simply cannot do anymore. Period. 😠
I'm sitting here watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' and admiring how effortlessly people move. Meanwhile, I consider it a massive victory if I manage to pull myself off the floor, given all the discomfort and aches 😠 Everyone else looks like a gazelle—so graceful and agile 🤣 I can't even remember what it felt like to bend down to pick something up without running through a mental checklist of how to execute the move with minimal pain or irritation. You can't really explain it to someone who hasn't lived it... I wouldn't have believed it if someone had told me either 🤣 They'd probably think it couldn't possibly be *that* bad—but now I know better 😉

As for me, I've been losing my mind because we moved a few weeks ago, and in my head, everything—the house, the furniture, the gear, the tiny clothes—would be totally set by the eighth month. At this point, considering my luck, getting the laundry done is a major accomplishment, let alone vacuuming the house (which, naturally, requires about three breaks) 😬
Nicholas Doyle91 said:So, I had this little win today—I actually got caught by a transit officer on the subway, but instead of slapping me with a ticket, she just let it slide! She told me to just take the money and put it toward my baby, and then, of course, she ended up giving me the whole life story about her family 😁

Shame on you, riding around without a pass, c-c-c-c 🙂 🤣
Sarah Harris5 said:So my neighbor asks how I’m doing, and when I tell her I'm exhausted, she hits me with the "Oh, why?!" 😠

Ever since then, whenever anyone asks, I just tell them life is perfect. Everything's great, nothing's new, no aches or pains, sleeping like a baby, eating well, going to the bathroom once a day, and—just so we're clear—I am definitely not pregnant... I just put on a little weight...

I’m gonna use the exact same script for the baby, too. Everything is wonderful, the little guy nurses perfectly, sleeps through the entire night without waking up or crying, gaining weight like a champ, no rashes, no colic... just pure perfection.

I take the opposite approach. I tell everyone I'm tired, that I've had enough, that my back hurts here, this is annoying there, and this is irritating that—then I add that I know it's all totally normal 😉
Besides, I'm just not the type to answer "How are you?" with some canned "Everything's great, nothing new" response. Honestly, who cares. I know most people just ask out of habit and don't actually give a damn about the details—it's just become a social script... so it really gets under my skin when I actually ask someone (because I only ask when I genuinely want to know) and they hit me with the "Oh, everything's lovely..." yeah, right 🙄 That's why I tend to avoid talking to a lot of people 🤣

Whenever I mention we're waiting on a girl,
someone always chimes in with, "Well, at least you'll get a boy next time," or some nonsense like that...
It's constant... almost always coming from women...😲 Seriously, what is wrong with people??????????????????????????????😲 😲
And all I can think is...
"You complete idiot... if you actually knew how long we've been praying for this child, you'd shut your mouth and cover your ears..."
But instead, I just say...
"The gender doesn't matter one bit,
as long as they're healthy!!!!!!!!!!"

To people like that, I’d honestly tell them where to shove it, though I probably wouldn't be very polite about it... seriously, what an issue. At the end of the day, if there were no girls, there wouldn't be any boys... where do they get off assuming everyone is desperate for a son??

Truthfully, neither my partner nor I actually planned to have a kid 🤣 And honestly, now that we're in this situation, I'd prefer a girl... while he was basically acting like a toddler when he found out it's a boy... but that doesn't mean I won't love our little guy, nor does it mean he wouldn't love a little girl... he tells me, "Next one will be a girl," and I tell him I'll have to think twice before putting myself at "risk" of being surrounded by three boys 😬
It’s frustrating being stuck on the couch when I don't actually look the part—plus there's the constant indecision over food, the fact that I can barely sleep more than a few hours at a time, and today’s special irritation: being completely cranky for absolutely no reason 🤷 If I weren't pregnant, I'd probably just blame it on PMS, knock back two Hunter drinks, and pass out 😬 🤣
There’s honestly nothing going on here in the States... if I even bother to shuffle out of the house to hit the grocery store—it’s fine, I guess 🙄 The stores are never crowded; at most, there are two people ahead of me. I never have to fight for priority, though I haven't exactly gone looking for it either. I can usually just stand there for a few minutes without much fuss
I haven't even touched a city bus yet—not that I really need to, since I don't have anywhere to be, and when I do, my husband handles the driving. Besides, I have absolutely no clue how to navigate all this local paperwork and bureaucracy, so he deals with that stuff while I just show up to prove I actually exist 🤣
It’s the same thing when I’m out and about; nobody bothers me. Either people here don't care about invading a woman's privacy, or maybe I just look unapproachable when I'm solo (could be that)—and when I'm with my husband, I doubt anyone would even think to say anything 😉 I get the impression that people tend to "target" pregnant women more when they're by themselves 🤷
rustyrider20 said:Ever since that heavyweight boxer turned into a total stomach wrecker, my capacity for food has absolutely plummeted—and what irritates me most is the constant nausea and that feeling like I’m about to explode after every single binge... because let’s be real, I am never at peace unless there is something sweet sitting in the fridge, and I need it dealt with right this second... so while I get my mental fix, my body pays the price.
(there isn't even a decent emoji for this situation)

I totally feel you. Although, I don't even have a massive sweet tooth :cudonevidjeno:—I just want to be able to eat a normal-sized meal without hitting a wall halfway through. But no, apparently I'm biologically obligated to clear the entire plate before I can stop. 🙂 What a joke. 😵

I think I mentioned this before, but my hands and feet are constantly burning up... it's honestly a disaster. They used to be freezing cold all the time, so this shift is extra frustrating. At night, if I have to get up to use the restroom, I end up washing my hands in ice-cold water just to cope. Right now, I’ve got an ice pack on my feet while I type, and another one on my hands... I've even started drinking ice water straight from the fridge (never used to do that, always preferred room temp). I'm showering twice a day because I'm sweating like crazy—especially when I'm just talking on the phone. 😕
Dana Murphy said:Honestly, nothing bugs me more than trying to sleep while pregnant 🙄
I just can't get comfortable—I've got like ten pillows everywhere... I'm constantly tossing and turning because my hips start aching after a bit 🙄
Then, once I finally settle down and drift off, some damn mosquito starts buzzing right by my ear 🙂 or, you know, the usual—I have to run to the bathroom 😠

Signature: Aside from having to wrestle with three different pillows just to get comfortable—two under my head and one between my legs—it’s actually too cold here for mosquitoes to even bother showing up. :)

Kate Cox2 said:Even worse is when they throw in those little parting shots, like, "Well, just you wait...". (Whether it's when you're heading to the hospital, when the baby arrives, or even once they start daycare... there's always some unsolicited "wisdom" ready to go.)

Good grief, honestly—it sounds less like advice and more like a veiled threat.🙄
Just... please, leave me alone! :2up:

A girl I know just gave me that classic line—you know the one—something like, "Oh, you have absolutely no idea what's coming for you." Typical. 🙄 So, when I start venting about how this or that is getting on my nerves... well, what am I supposed to do? Just shut up? If you're going to ask me how I'm doing, you kind of have to be prepared for the actual answer.

Jacob Castillo60 said:I don't really mind other people being around, but I absolutely cannot stand anyone touching my stomach area!

Plus, my skin has become incredibly dry lately, and no matter what I try, nothing seems to work quite right; I actually tried mixing some raw shea butter with almond oil myself to keep things completely natural, but honestly, it’s only providing temporary relief, because even as I'm typing this, the skin on my hands feels so tight it's like I'm wearing gloves that are several sizes too small!!

And to be honest, I'm feeling pretty anxious because after having one spontaneous miscarriage, I find that every single time I experience any spotting now, I can barely muster the courage to actually check what color it is!!

I feel that... though honestly, there are days when I just can't be bothered to deal with all the upkeep. :(

Benjamin Roberts5 said:Honestly, my skin has never felt better or softer than it does right now during this pregnancy.🤷
I guess I'm one of those lucky few when it comes to that... it's seriously soft, like a baby's bottom.😍

And I actually don't mind at all when people touch my belly. 😍
Actually, I kind of love it.
But people always ask if it's okay first, which is nice. It's rare to find someone who just reaches out without asking...

It doesn’t bother me personally—I mean, I only deal with one or two people here, mostly just some colleagues from work. Strangers don't really approach me, and honestly, I have zero desire to hang around them anyway—the language barrier makes it a massive chore. It just gets on my nerves having to constantly explain that I don't speak much English—as if anyone actually gives a damn. 😠 : (

ugh;27406289.....personally, I think pure, unrefined coconut butter is absolute gold[/B says:
, half a pound $33, and I use it for everything—cooking, skin moisturizer, hands, lips, even a hair mask

I once picked up a great one—smelled amazing, very coconutty—and then after dropping my cash here, I get home and this one smells totally rancid despite being well within its expiration date. Just a huge letdown... what am I supposed to do, just gamble my money every time hoping it isn't another dud? 🤷 So I gave up and just stick to standard lotions from Target😢

Lawrence Hughes66 said:I remember back when I was four months pregnant, someone actually had the nerve to ask me, "So, did it come back to life?"😱😱😱

That is just awful 😲 I eventually got the explanation that they meant "has it started moving yet?"... but still, damn... people really need to watch their wording🙂

I’d also add that I was genuinely surprised by how poorly I’ve been handling pregnancy, though I was told that people who are naturally more sensitive tend to struggle more with these shifts, which makes sense, I guess.

It’s wild how much changes—both physically and mentally. I don't think I'll ever look at a pregnant woman the same way again; before, it was always "oh, look!" 😍 Now it's more like: "yeah, I know how you feel, hang in there, you've got this."

P.S. I had to 'kill off' some of your emojis—don't hate me... it's a stupid rule that you can't use more than ten
