neonrider40 said:Honestly, the whole "is it a boy or a girl?" obsession drives me nuts, but then you get those people offering unsolicited advice like, "Oh, you gained 50 pounds during your first pregnancy, so maybe watch what you eat this time." Like, excuse me? Why do they even care? I’ll worry about dropping the weight once the baby is actually here, not them. They should probably just focus on losing their own extra pounds instead.

And it’s always the same group of people asking—usually the ones who are the most heavily built themselves...
Just mind your own business and stay out of mine... 🙂
Yeah, and my mother-in-law, she’s relentless, just every single time:
I mean, did I start getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night? No... well, how could I not... she's always there...
Next time, it’ll be more of the same... 🙂
Honestly, I’ve been getting sick of this from day one... everyone is obsessed with asking nothing but the baby's gender, what I'm planning to name them, and how many damn pounds I've put on...

Apparently, those are the only things that actually matter to people...

I don't hear a single soul asking if I'm doing okay, or if the baby is hitting all its milestones and developing properly... no, not at all... it's just the gender, the name, and how many freaking pounds I've gained, and that's the end of it. 🙂
Superman, oh man, I’ve been losing it for at least ten minutes now 😂😂

It’s been ages since I’ve actually laughed this hard... truly from the heart 👍
I know you aren't finding this funny 🙂 but the rest of us are having a blast

If I’d had more sense, I probably would've just stood up and walked out... It left me feeling so shaken I couldn't even sleep all night.🤷

And then there's my mother-in-law, always going on about some woman who had a C-section and supposedly didn't get enough anesthesia, so she felt everything and everything went wrong, etc., etc. ☕

Everyone seems to have these intense horror stories or "interesting" tales about giving birth 🤷
Kate Cox2 said:Even worse is when they throw in those little parting shots, like, "Well, just you wait...". (Whether it's when you're heading to the hospital, when the baby arrives, or even once they start daycare... there's always some unsolicited "wisdom" ready to go.)

Good grief, honestly—it sounds less like advice and more like a veiled threat.🙄
Just... please, leave me alone! :2up:

Hahaha, I feel the exact same way

It’s been boring for ages... "Just wait until you have kids of your own!" Well, oh, we'll definitely see😁
I guess I'll just turn off my phone and walk on eggshells whenever the baby naps, all the way until they start school
Maybe I'll force guests to whisper while the kid sleeps and make everyone shut up whenever the child speaks
And so on...☕
