What were your biggest pregnancy surprises and pet peeves?

Ha, ha, ha... there goes the neighborhood. I mean, my belly button has always been prominent, and yet, here I am, carrying my third girl... so much for those old wives' tales!! On a side note, I find it incredibly grating when people start asking me about my due date or—even worse—unceremoniously patting my stomach as if I’ve been sitting around waiting for the physical contact. And don't even get me started on the elderly ladies at the grocery store; they’re the type who wouldn't dream of letting a pregnant woman cut in line, yet for some reason, they let me skip ahead without a second thought. Honestly, kudos to the younger moms and even the dads for being respectful enough to let us go first!
