It honestly drives me insane when people act like I’ve suddenly ballooned out of nowhere. I used to be practically nothing, just a tiny thing on a bed, but once I quit smoking about eighteen months ago, I put on 18 pounds that I just haven't been able to shake—not that I can blame myself, considering all the hormones they pumped into me for the IVF treatments. So, yeah, if we're looking at my pregnancy weight, I actually started with +18 pounds already. Sure, my belly has definitely grown, but all in all, I've only gained about 4 pounds total so far. Honestly, even if I weren't pregnant, you'd barely notice any difference. But no, everyone is constantly on my case, acting like I'm some kind of glutton who doesn't know when to stop eating (except for my mom, who knows damn well I eat the same way I always have), or making stupid comments about how big I'll be by the end of this. It's all just mindless 😲 nonsense. Everyone is being such an idiot 🙄 and absolutely nobody bothers to ask how I'm actually doing 😢 And get this—even a friend of mine had the nerve to tell me, "Well, now I can finally call you fat." 🙂
It honestly drives me up the wall when my girlfriends—who, by the way, have never even been pregnant—start acting like experts on my life. They’ll be like, "Oh, really? How hard can it actually be to slather on some body lotion? Stop kidding me, you're just being lazy!" Or they'll hit me with that classic, "Don't just sit there all day, you need to move more," when I'm definitely not just lounging around, though I'm certainly not out running marathons either 🙄. And don't even get me started on the insomnia comments: "How can you suffer from sleep issues? You probably just stay up too late, no wonder you can't sleep" . 🙂 I swear, there are days when I genuinely wish I didn't have to see any of them again for the rest of my life 😠
God, everyone is seriously getting on my nerves!!!! I swear, I can't vent to anyone without getting hit with some condescending "well, you wanted this" or "what did you expect?" garbage. 🙂 Look, damn it, I wanted a baby. Yes, I did. I spent three grueling years fighting tooth and nail just to get pregnant—and honestly, nobody even gave me much credit for that struggle at the time. So fine, I'm pregnant, I'm over the moon, I'm happy as hell, but that doesn't mean I'm not absolutely miserable being nauseous 24/7 or dealing with constant heartburn and my back starting to give out on me already. 🙄 People are just sooooo stupid. 😠
Linda Ward312 said:Honestly, I’m losing my mind here—the nausea is brutal, and my stomach and gut are just constantly acting up. I’ve always dealt with reflux esophagitis and a tiny hiatal hernia 😢 but before I got pregnant, it was pretty manageable; I’d only feel it if I laid down right after eating or if I went too heavy on the greasy stuff. Now? It’s constant. Whether I’ve just eaten or I’m starving, I feel terrible, though being hungry actually makes the pain worse. No vomiting, just non-stop nausea and aching.🙂 Since I'm pregnant, I can't touch Pepcid or Prilosec—I can only really get by with some Gaviscon (I tried buying Reese, but it didn't do squat). I also took a couple doses of those herbal tinctures 🙄 because some site said they were fine for pregnancy since you only take a tiny teaspoon, and it gave me a moment of relief, but then everything went right back to how it was. I’m getting a little worried... is this even normal? Plus, the thought of having to go in for a gastroscopy right now is just totally overwhelming.😢 Is there anyone else out there dealing with the same thing who can tell me I'm not alone? 😢
Look, during my first trimester, I was nauseous 24/7 every single day, yet I only actually threw up three times. Whatever you do, don't let yourself get hungry because that's when the real nightmare starts. I never had any stomach issues before this, so Reese actually worked for me. I really hope you find something that gives you some relief.
Why is it that the second people see me or even hear my name, the first thing out of their mouths is, "So, how much weight have you put on already?" 😠 Honestly, I don't know what's better—I actually managed to drop five pounds at the start of this, and I've only gained back about two so far ☕ It drives me absolutely insane! Look, I'm pregnant, so obviously it's perfectly normal for me to be gaining weight, but I seriously don't get why they feel the need to monitor every single pound 🙄
Nicholas Green69, honestly, don't sweat it; it’s perfectly normal. Your body is just trying to adjust to a new situation, and while some people feel it way more intensely than others, it's all part of the process. Just stay calm and try not to panic. 👍
