MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW MOTHER-IN-LAW AND JUST MORE MOTHER-IN-LAW 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂:2up::2u p::2up::2up::2up:
I’ve been wondering about something lately... when you guys get one of those massive, soul-searching yawns, can you actually take a deep, satisfying breath? Or is it just one of those pathetic, shallow little gasps where your lungs end up hurting more than they actually get any oxygen
Between the heartburn, feeling like I can't catch my breath, and then having that sugar hit me at the end, I’ve got such bad acid reflux that I actually can't breathe... basically, I'm suffocating here.

Ugh, oh man, I have been exactly where you are...
I once watched a grandmother try to give her three-month-old grandson ice cream, a banana, a Milk Snatch, and even a chunk of meat to suck on...😲😠 😲😠I swear, I nearly lost my mind when I saw that; I just turned around and walked straight out of the room...

I told my mom right away that once we get home, we’re sitting down for a very serious sit-down about how MY baby is going to eat and what they are allowed to drink. And I made it clear she shouldn't even bother coming over unless things with my mother-in-law are perfectly smooth, because honestly, it's better to have her here than dealing with the MIL. I know, I know, I can be a total dragon when it comes to my mom and my in-laws, but I mean it!😍😍

Honestly, walking up a flight of stairs feels way less exhausting than dealing with this iron.
I’ll barely get through a few t-shirts and I’m already gasping for air, needing a break.
I can't tell if it's just because the AC is busted, or if it's the steam from the iron, or maybe...

I’ve never been a fan of ironing, but now? It’s straight-up draining my soul.

I definitely know what you mean, there are plenty of us out there, though I have to admit I'm kind of my own worst enemy here since I tend to procrastinate until my husband and I are both staring at empty closets, which means I end up having to tackle a massive pile all at once! But seriously, after just two or three shirts, I’m already looking for an excuse to head to the bathroom or grab a glass of water just to sit down for a second, and it's funny because I feel like I could go for a long hike through the Rockies and not feel nearly as winded as I do doing this chore.😳
Raymond Taylor14 said:I honestly thought I was the only one dealing with this at home... maybe I am. What's hardest is that he doesn't even notice any of it... and here I am, constantly nagging him to do this or that... whenever he actually does something, it feels so forced, and I still have to follow behind him... 😠😠😠And of course, nothing bothers him... so I just let everything slide for a few days... I changed the sheets and just threw all the laundry into the bathroom...
It ended up being four loads of laundry 🤣 and then he starts asking me when I'm finally going to start the machine... so I just act like I didn't hear him... like, why should I? And he tells me it's a mess and he has nothing to wear... so I told him that since I don't tell him what to do, he shouldn't be telling me either. 😂😂

In the end, he started three half-empty loads and thinks he's done his chores for the entire month... I'm actually 14 weeks pregnant, so I guess everything is just extra irritating right now...

I really can't find anything to complain about when it comes to my husband, though, because he's truly wonderful... even though he works all day, when he gets home, he isn't too proud to help move heavy stuff like the kitchen island, the fridge, or the stove just so I can wipe down underneath them—and I'm the one doing the wiping because he's exhausted from work, even if he insists he can do it himself, but I won't let him...😍 😍he really is my rock... back when we first moved in and I was mostly resting, the house was actually cleaner than it is now that I'm more active. He'd come home from work and grab a rag immediately😁 my sweet angel...
But my mother-in-law drives me absolutely crazy. She lives with us, but in the five years she's been here, I haven't seen her pick up a cleaning rag once... I mean, seriously, during our wedding, I was laid up for three months and your son was basically running the whole house by himself😠 and then the other day, I was having such a hard time getting up because I had been on my knees scrubbing the floors, and she just walks right into the kitchen with her dirty shoes on like she didn't notice a thing, just to cook some fish because she's hungry, and she ends up splashing grease everywhere on my clean floor... then my husband comes in and asks me how I managed to get it all so clean😠 I didn't want to start a fight, so I just asked him to move the stove so I could finish cleaning under it. That's when she popped out of her room and goes, "What are you two doing? Are you guys crazy? I'm not supposed to be overexerting myself..." Well, that was the breaking point for me, that was it!😳😳
Honestly, I feel like I’m losing my mind dealing with this weight fluctuation and these unpredictable digestion issues, if you'll excuse my colorful language...
Linda Ward312 said:Ugh, I’ve got a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and I’m already stressing over which shoes to wear. I was thinking maybe some cute little flats, but honestly, I’ll probably just end up sticking to my 🙂 😱
because they're the only thing that feel right. I mean, my shins are looking a little puffy, but my feet felt totally fine until just now 😢

And don't even get me started on the food situation... I'm about two days away from hitting the one-month mark on this diet, and let me tell you, I am straight-up dreaming about cookies 😳

Dieting!? Are you kidding me? Honestly, the scale is driving me absolutely insane... I swear, it's maddening. I really don't eat much at all—just a quick breakfast around 8:00 AM and then lunch somewhere between 3:00 and 4:00 PM, and after that, it's basically just fruit, yet somehow I managed to gain four pounds in just four weeks! I'll have sweets once in a while, sure, maybe a piece of chocolate or an ice cream, or like this past weekend when I went all out and made some homemade snack cakes, and I do drink quite a bit of milk... I actually thought about cutting out carbs entirely, but how am I supposed to do that when I'm eating two or three slices of toast—usually whole wheat or cornmeal—and I hardly ever touch potatoes... but the weight just keeps climbing 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
MY MOTHER-IN-LAW
Honestly, she gets under my skin so much that my blood pressure actually spiked yesterday... It’s just wild because she wasn't even here for a week, and things were going so smoothly—the only thing I really noticed was that I put on a few pounds while she was visiting! But the second she stepped back through the door, all my issues came rushing right back. Even my husband commented on it yesterday, pointing out how my pressure shot up because he knows I just can't stand being around her... I honestly just burst out laughing and told him, "Fine, just send her back to her own folks and I'll be perfectly fine"................
God, they are just so incredibly clever, aren't they? Honestly, I’m already starting to get a real sense of what our direction might be... though I won't be rushing out to buy anything quite yet. It feels a little early, especially since I dealt with a miscarriage before and had some spotting again at the very beginning, but now the baby is actually kicking—I can really feel those little movements! So, I think it's finally time to start digging into the "how" and the "why," figuring out what the most practical and straightforward options are. We've already had one big conversation where we agreed we don't want anything over-the-top or neon blue; we want to find something universal and timeless. Since we're planning on having a second child down the road, we want to be prepared so that whatever the first baby wears for those first few months can be saved for a little brother or sister later on... that's really the one thing we've settled on. As for everything else, I'm honestly a bit lost on where to even shop around here. There's this one little baby boutique in downtown Chicago, but the selection is pretty thin, even if the prices are absolutely killer. That's why I've been nudging him to go look, to think things through, and to make decisions together, because we'll likely have to drive a bit further to find the good stuff, and I know for a fact that I won't have the patience to hunt through aisles in this sweltering summer heat and the crazy seasonal crowds. But of course, he thinks it's way TOO EARLY for all of this. So, naturally, I've already started building a massive digital folder filled with photos and spec sheets for car seats and strollers that caught my eye. Once the gentleman decides to grace me with his attention and sit down for a talk, I'll just serve it all up on a silver platter: "WE ARE GETTING THIS."
Hannah Lewis2 said:🙂 Brenda Bishop2! Man, I feel for you. Honestly, your best bet is to just curate a tight, specific shortlist yourself. Keep them ready to go so whenever he actually finds a spare second to look, you’ve already trimmed down the search. This kind of thing doesn't just happen overnight. My husband put me through the ringer like that when we were planning our wedding, but hey, we’re on the same page now. Just hang in there, stay organized, and try to dig into the research for fun rather than letting it turn into a massive headache.

If he keeps acting like this, I might just have to make a whole movie montage of everything I want and serve it up to him on a silver platter, because if he tries to complain, I'll just tell him, "OH, SORRY... YOU WEREN'T EXACTLY JUMPING AT THE CHANCE TO HELP WHEN THERE WAS TIME!" I mean, I'm not usually that type of person, but I could definitely see myself becoming that way if this continues.😠😠😠 If he doesn't step up within the next six months, he's going to get exactly that reaction, because I've already started building my own little world of things I love...😍
Ugh, I am just so incredibly frustrated with my husband right now... I’m four months pregnant, and all I wanted to do was sit down with him and just browse through some catalogs for strollers, car seats, and all that baby gear—just to get an idea of what looks cute and, more importantly, what the price tags actually look like. You know, just to start planning! But he won't even listen to a word I say... He keeps insisting it's way too early to even think about it. Like, seriously? It’s not like I’m trying to rush out and buy everything tomorrow morning! I just want us to see what we like so we can figure out how much we need to set aside, especially since he's the one bringing home the paycheck right now. But no, according to him, looking at it is "too early"... Honestly, it’s driving me up the wall, and my blood pressure is through the roof because of this constant back-and-forth. And then, if I decide to pick something out myself, suddenly it’s a problem—either it isn't his style, or it's "way too expensive," or there are a hundred other excuses. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I could honestly just burst into tears right now.
I just wanted to pop in here for a second because I really feel for everyone in this thread... I truly do. Back when I was about three months along, I lost my baby during the twelfth week, but honestly, that’s not what I’m here to talk about right now. I just felt compelled to jump into this massive discussion because, well, I have a bit of a similar story regarding body image. You see, I’ve always had more of an athletic, curvy build—not much going on up top, but definitely blessed in the hips and legs area. While I was pregnant, I was working retail, and since it was just starting to pick up for the season, the store was getting pretty busy. I was stationed at the register when my mom's brother walked in, and he actually had the nerve to comment on how much weight I'd put on. It wasn't like anyone knew I was expecting or anything, so I had no idea why he thought he could say that to me. I didn't hold back, though; I looked him right in the eye and told him, "Listen, I have a very good reason for gaining this weight, and if I have to carry these extra pounds for nine months, I will—and unlike you, I actually have a reason for it, even if you are smaller than me!" Needless to say, he hasn't said a single word about my weight ever since...
