Jeffrey Barnes16 said:I find it absolutely fascinating—and by fascinating, I mean utterly baffling—when my friends, who already have kids running around and have long since moved past the newborn stage, will proactively offer to lend me their old baby gear, only to completely lose track of the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, thank God we’re in a position where we can just go out and buy whatever we need ourselves, but if you aren't actually going to follow through, why even bring it up in the first place? It’s like opening a door and then immediately slamming it in your face. And then, once I’ve gone ahead and purchased everything new, they suddenly become experts on my parenting choices, lecturing me about how I "wasted" money on stuff they could have given me...🙄 It’s quite the irony—I end up being labeled the snob just because I’d rather have something fresh instead of hand-me-downs. Give me a break!

It's the exact same story with me. Or they tell me, "Hey, let me know if you need anything," which is just useless. How am I supposed to know what any of them even have sitting in their garage or what they don't need anymore?😕
It’s honestly driving me crazy how much of a total klutz I’ve become during this pregnancy 😠
I feel like I'm getting messages about my symptoms non-stop—the bloating is constant, my digestion is a mess, my stomach is cramping, and my back? It’s absolutely killing me. Every single time I try to sit up or get out of bed, I get this sharp, stabbing pain in my lower right back that’s so intense I actually have to limp 🤦
And don't even get me started on the hunger; I am just constantly, perpetually hungry 🙂
Linda Ward312 said:Honestly, I never thought this would actually happen to us while I was scrolling through everyone else's stories on here... but all that constant buzzing and those endless texts asking "are you still holding up?" or "is the baby here yet?" and all that other stuff 😠 ...they aren't even bothering me anymore, they've moved on to bugging my husband.
Normally, I wouldn't care, but since I hit the 40-week mark and there’s zero sign of labor, I'm just a total wreck and every time my phone pings, I feel like I'm gonna lose it.
It’s just weird because it’s usually our inner circle asking—the people we were going to call first anyway, including my parents.

And man, everything just hurts. My pelvic bones feel like someone literally screwed them into place with a screwdriver, and I get hit with such sharp pains at the grocery store that I end up walking like I'm about to have an accident.😳😁

Oh, and don't even get me started on the grooming situation... since I could go into labor at any second, I feel like I'm shaving constantly and I'm seriously worried my skin is gonna peel right off my legs and down there.😲 (I mean, I always wax my legs and bikini area, but now I feel like I have to be absolutely flawless, so I'm just shaving everything), and don't even get me started on washing my hair.

Honey, my due date hasn't even arrived yet, so I can only imagine what's coming, but based on how things are going right now, I am dreading that date.🙄 I need to rest, I'm dealing with stomach pains, and my mom calls me every single day asking: "How are you feeling? Are you in pain?" 😠 It’s driving me insane; I get nervous just seeing her caller ID pop up on my screen... and lately, every time she calls, she tells me some story about a woman whose due date was June 5th and she still hasn't delivered.🙄 As if I care about a complete stranger's pregnancy timeline!
So, my conclusion is that starting a week before my due date, I'll probably get called at least five times a day. If I actually end up going past my date, I think I might just turn off my phone and my whole cell entirely.🤷
I’ll admit, I’m just as terrified as you are... especially when it comes to my own family. It’s like this constant cycle with them. Every single time they visit, they show up clutching boxes of chocolates. I swear, I tell them, "Hey, seriously, could you just grab some fresh fruit instead? Why is it always sweets?" But does anyone listen? Not a chance. They just keep doing it. And honestly, it makes me worry about what’s going to happen once the baby arrives! I can already see it now—they’ll probably try to force-feed the poor thing nothing but chocolate and processed sausages! It’s actually infuriating because they act all high and mighty about my brother, judging him just because we didn't start giving his kid chocolate before he even hit his first birthday! I feel like I’m going to lose my mind dealing with them. To them, everything is perfectly fine. In their heads, babies should just eat everything in sight. Forget about nutrition or milk—as long as there's chocolate on the table, they think life is good.

The absolute worst part is definitely that "get some sleep now while you can" advice. As if I can somehow stockpile stamina for a rainy day... apparently, I should just hibernate like Sleeping Beauty until the labor starts.🙄 And let's be real—that kind of unsolicited advice usually comes from people who don't even have children themselves.

A lady I know actually said that to me today when we bumped into each other at the grocery store. She was like, "Rest up while you can and enjoy this, you have no idea what's coming!"—and mind you, she already has a three-year-old!
It’s just like when my sister-in-law told me at a wedding, "Oh, just wait until you have a baby, then you'll see that the baby always comes first!!" I swear, those remarks drive me absolutely crazy. I am fully aware that a baby is a massive responsibility; it demands your attention, your time, and everything else that comes along with it!
What really grates on me is how they act like I'm clueless, as if I haven't realized that babies don't just spend all day sleeping and eating!!!!
I don't quite understand why she's already pregnant again with her second child if having just one is such an exhausting struggle with zero time for yourself or anything else!!
Some days I’m doing just fine, but other times—like today—it’s just one of those heavy, depressing mornings where everything feels off. Honestly, sleep just won't come. I’ve scrolled through every book on my shelf and there's nothing worth picking up, the TV is playing absolute garbage, and I just feel completely stuck in this void... but then, the little one starts tapping away, and suddenly, everything makes sense again. 😍
It honestly weighs so heavy on my heart, being forced into retirement and spending my entire day cooped up in this room. I find myself just staring out the window, watching everyone else out there living their lives, walking around and enjoying the sunshine, while I’m stuck just observing from the sidelines 😢 😢
I'm really holding onto the hope that at my next checkup, the doctor will tell me things have finally turned a corner and I'll actually be able to get back on my feet and move around again.. 🙄
My mom told me just a few weeks ago that once I have the baby, I need to be resting for at least eight days straight. She said during that time, either my mother or she herself will come over to help me out... and honestly, I think I’m losing it. 🙄 Sure, she’s an amazing cook, but she can easily whip up a meal, drop it off, and head right back home. What I actually need in that moment is for her—or my mom—to be physically here, hovering and fussing over me in the house! My husband can handle the cooking and the cleaning; I already made it clear that nobody is visiting for the first couple of weeks, so I truly don't care if the house looks like a disaster zone...
Look, I don't know how everything will actually play out until the baby arrives, but both of them are already getting on my nerves, and I really don't want to be stuck listening to their lectures on top of everything else. 🙂

It’s also driving me crazy because I just bought this body cream specifically for pregnant women via DM so I could massage it on every morning, and it smells absolutely revolting 🙂
Honestly, my husband has this incredible knack for driving my blood pressure through the roof like nobody else can. 🙂
I’ll be right in the middle of changing my clothes, he’s just lounging there on the bed, and out of nowhere he goes—"Wow, you are huge..." 🙂
I mean, I have no idea what’s going to happen by the end of this pregnancy if I’m already feeling massive right now. I’m currently 21 weeks and five days along, I’ve put on about 7 pounds, and I still only have a little bump.
Instead of actually enjoying this whole pregnancy journey, I’m stuck in this constant loop of feeling self-conscious because he keeps making me feel so oversized...
Seriously though :2up:
steelowl10 said:I'm just getting started and it’s driving me crazy how hungry I am all the time. I feel like I’m constantly snacking.😢
Once I actually eat, though, I start stressing out, wondering if I'm just packing on the pounds😠 and worrying that I'll end up looking like a total refrigerator by the time I'm full term.🙂🙂

I'm halfway through my pregnancy and I am feeling the exact same way.🤣 🤣
Lately, I’ve actually started keeping a food diary where I log everything I eat and the specific times I eat it.🙄 I try to make sure there's at least a two-hour gap between meals...
But then, after successfully avoiding sweets for three whole days, I'll somehow manage to restrain myself just long enough to go overboard and devour two ice cream cones back-to-back.🤣
Well, I guess that's just part of the whole pregnancy experience, right?😉
Well, I ended up being the one thinking about you guys today too... my own mom actually asked me if the baby had "come back to life" yet. 🤣
I was sitting here reading through your comments, thinking to myself, "What kind of strange people ask such incredibly mindless questions?" But apparently, I shouldn't have judged so quickly, because it didn't take long at all before I found myself on the receiving end of the exact same thing. ☕
Dennis Johnson3 said:I have this friend who, every single time she lays eyes on me, feels the need to remark, "Oh my goodness, look how much weight you've put on..."
Well, one of these days, I finally reached my breaking point—and let's just say she got a verbal lashing she won't soon forget. I told her quite plainly: if you don't have anything kind or constructive to contribute, then just keep your mouth shut. Honestly, what kind of person directs those kinds of comments at a pregnant woman? It’s just appalling. 😠
I was absolutely livid—truly. I’m just sitting here waiting for her to get pregnant herself so she can finally experience a little taste of her own medicine. 😠

Now that I'm thinking back, I really should have pointed out that even at four months pregnant, I still weigh less than she does! 🤣 But of course, in the heat of the moment when I wanted to shut her down, that little detail slipped my mind. 😕
To be honest, though, the scale has been giving me a bit of trouble lately myself. 🙄
A friend of mine dropped by today—someone I haven't seen in about a month—and she’s actually going to be the godmother for my little one. She looks at me and goes, "Oh my gosh, you've really put on some weight since the last time I saw you!" 😕 It honestly felt like 🙂
I’ve gained maybe five or six pounds, and sure, maybe my hips are a bit wider, but good grief, it's not like I'm fifty pounds heavier than last time!!!!! 🤔
I immediately lost my cool. When my husband got home from work, I started venting to him, and he just says, "Well, what am I supposed to say? You *did* gain weight!" 🙂
I mean, I know it's true, but man, I feel terrible! That is just not how you talk to a pregnant woman, right??? 🙂
And don't even get me started on the fact that this girl is supposed to be the baby's godmother, yet she hasn't even asked how I'm doing, how the baby is, or if I can feel her moving... absolutely nothing regarding the pregnancy!!!!
All in all, it was a total disaster. 🤷
Honestly, my husband is driving me up the wall 🙂
I’ve asked him at least five times now where the camera batteries are so I can snap some photos of the garden, but he just keeps questioning why on earth I even need them instead of actually handing them over!!! 🙂It’s so frustrating because I’m usually the one who knows where everything is kept, yet somehow, I can’t find them anywhere 😢
On top of that, my sister is being completely elusive and won't pick up her phone no matter how many times I call
Anyway, I'm going to go grab something to eat and try to calm down !!! ☕
Michael Hernandez50 said:I am absolutely tormented by these headaches; they hit me every single day, starting from high noon and dragging on all the way until I finally pass out at night... and because I can't bring myself to just pop some pills, I have to sit there and suffer through it... sometimes it gets so bad that I can't even keep my head up over my textbooks before I end up face-planting right onto my desk 🙂

Honestly, I’ve had a pounding headache for the last few days too, starting the second I roll out of bed in the morning and lasting right up until I hit the pillow😕 I feel absolutely terrible!!!
And look, I really need to get this over with; I still have one oral exam left to pass and then one more massive final☕ I’m crossing my fingers that I can knock these out within the next six months, so I can finally focus on my thesis and start picking out cute little things for the baby🙂
I have to be honest, this constant hunger is driving me absolutely insane! It’s honestly getting a bit depressing at this point because I feel like I need to be snacking every single second just to function...🙄
Does anyone know if this massive appetite eventually settles down, or am I just looking at a permanent buffet? I'm currently in my 8th or 9th week.
