I found out yesterday in Cleveland that the urgent care clinic near the student dorms in the Podmurvica area has been shut down. Now, emergency cases are being diverted solely to the ER departments at the Cleveland and Sušak hospitals, while children are being sent over to Kantrida. Since they closed that urgent care unit, has anyone else noticed this happening in other cities?
As it stands, without an urgent care clinic, you can't get a prescription, meaning you're forced to pay out of pocket because the hospital ERs don't handle prescriptions. It feels like the government has become an insatiable beast, systematically lowering our standard of care.
I find their push for independence hard to swallow. In this day and age, no one is going to let such a strategically vital territory break away just because a small group of politically insignificant people wants it.
The resources in Greenland and its surrounding waters haven't even been fully mapped yet, not to mention that critical location near the Arctic and its ties to NATO.

I suspect they won't see independence anytime soon; it’ll likely be a long wait before anyone actually grants them that right.

It’s a shame, really, since I usually root for smaller nations fighting to preserve their unique identity.
I find it hard to believe Greenland will achieve independence anytime soon. The West, acting through the unified strength of NATO, will undoubtedly ensure they maintain oversight over any movement toward Greenland Independence.
It would be fascinating to watch Russia gradually probe for oil in Greenland, fishing around its waters while steadily expanding their economic and technological footprint. They might even start settling more people there until they become a significant part of that tiny local population. Western powers are well aware of this potential scenario; they won't risk losing control of an island that could seriously threaten NATO if it fell under Russian influence. That’s why defense and foreign policy remain firmly under Danish control, and by extension, under the Alliance.

And let's be honest—if those Russian settlers found conditions similar to home, specifically the biting cold and the abundance of alcohol, they'd settle in and take over before anyone noticed.
