What do you mean by "Americans aren't being asked"?
That’s exactly the point. It’s being done *because* of Americans—specifically, for their benefit. To put it bluntly, the US is intentionally pushing the whole America agenda because it serves the interests of the American people and the nation at large; it benefits American workers, American corporations, and American exports. It's 100% cold, hard economics, zero percent emotion.
