I "finally" found out it was a boy during week 18. I posted it on Facebook immediately just so I wouldn't have to deal with everyone constantly asking me 😁
Current number 1: A girl I met literally thirty minutes ago goes, "Oh my god, they say your sex drive spikes during pregnancy, is that happening to you???" me: "Nope." ☕ Man, I felt so awkward in that moment, wishing I had the right words to shut that down 🙂
Sean Fox said:I didn't even find out for sure it was a girl until my 30-week scan. Can you imagine what they were putting me through? 😂🤣 Which doctor are you seeing? Like, they don't even know the sex? Are you sure this doctor is actually legit? Maybe you should just go somewhere else? 🤣😂 Just a bunch of idiots... 🙄
If they can't tell me the sex by next week, I'll just make one up myself. ☕
Current #1: people are asking if I know the gender yet, and when I say I have no clue, they look at me like I’m crazy—as if I should just magically know by now??? 🙂 Just to set the record straight, I’m 17 weeks and 4 days along, and my last ultrasound was three weeks ago. And honestly, the ones acting all high and mighty about it are usually the people who don't know the first thing about pregnancy...
I'm currently hunting for a band for a big Midwestern wedding, and since my first choice for a sax player is already booked for my dates, I'm back to square one... everyone keeps mentioning Twist Off, but I can't find a single trace of them online—no website, nothing on YouTube, not even a Facebook page... does anyone have a link where I can actually hear them play???
Does anyone at least have a contact number for Twist Off or Quattro Band they could DM me? I'm also open to hearing about that Art Band from Indianapolis.
I’m gonna jump in here with a lighter take on your posts. My better half has the day off while I’m stuck at work—pregnancy, right? He actually called me just to vent about vacuuming the apartment. Apparently, he got halfway through, realized he was starving, had to quit to go grab a snack, and then the dog decided to sashay onto the rug, shake all her gorgeous fur everywhere, and flop down right on the freshly cleaned carpet. Honestly, if he vacuumed more often, he’d realize she does 🙂 every single time. And complaining about getting hungry mid-chore? Give me a break. He’s calling me to act as his therapist, so I "comfort" him by reminding him how much worse it'll get when the third little monster 😍 arrives. You guys gave me a great idea, though—I should probably throw stinky diapers into this saga 🤣 too. Let's see him try to claim he's living the dream then. He's my one and only 😉

My mother-in-law lives states away, so I’m dodging those specific headaches, but this topic still totally struck a chord with me. It drives me nuts when I answer a question about what we're naming the baby (and let's face it, I'll be sick of that question soon enough 😁), only to get a reaction like, "Oh my god, nooo, that was the name of some girl in my middle school who always had a runny nose!" Seriously, who cares about their random childhood memories when it comes to picking a name?! Big thanks to everyone for all the "constructive" advice you're so generously showering on a poor soul like me who clearly hasn't a clue. 🙄
Honestly, ever since I found out I was pregnant, it’s been driving me crazy how people tend to brush off my symptoms like they aren't a big deal. They act like the nausea, the vomiting, the killer headaches, the back pain, the hemorrhoids, and the total exhaustion are just minor inconveniences rather than actual struggles. Of course, I tell myself it’s all worth it because of the baby, but man, sometimes I just want someone to actually coddle me and show some sympathy. Because let's be real: when I feel like I'm going to barf, I feel like I'm going to barf—whether it's because of pregnancy, a stomach flu, or just eating too much at a buffet. It doesn't matter why, it still sucks. 🙂
This thread is honestly my favorite part of this whole site 🤣
If I actually sat down and wrote out a full list of everything that gets under my skin, it would be huge. But right now? The absolute worst thing is when people try to lecture me on what I should or shouldn't be doing. Like, "Are you really drinking a Coke?" or "Why are you eating so little? You need more calories!" or even "Don't run for the bus, you're pregnant." Look, don't get me wrong—I value advice from actual doctors or women who have actually been through this recently. But most of these unsolicited comments come from people whose last experience with pregnancy was basically back when they were still in their own moms' wombs 🙂
And as for people touching my belly... honestly, once it gets bigger, I care less about it, but if anyone tries to lift my shirt up? I might actually bite their hand off 🙂
