Stop trying to scare me with all this black magic nonsense... I've already had my fill of this 😁
Hopefully I'm not cursed and nobody's out there messing with my voodoo doll, brrr 😁

Seriously? You're telling this young girl to just find some guy to go wild with? Look, if you're an adult, responsible, actually love the person, and you're over 21—or at least 18—then sure, go for it. |
I agree.😛 😉

As someone living with a diagnosis of manic episodes and psychotic breaks, let me try to explain how to help yourself. I know exactly how it feels when your nerves just snap! First off, nothing is worth sacrificing your health over. I developed psoriatic arthritis at 18 specifically because of those stress outbursts, and even though I've mostly recovered, it's a chronic issue triggered by stress. You're only 16. You have plenty of time to build yourself up and create a good life. Don't let your parents, siblings, or friends get under your skin. Those things will resolve themselves eventually, and you can't control them anyway. Just calm down, find a hobby, and distance yourself from the chaos by doing something you actually enjoy. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone giving me advice like this back then. Now I feel terrible. I've wasted my life, my nerves are shot, and I can't handle anyone telling me anything without having a total meltdown. I push everyone away—thank God I have real friends who still put up with me and a family that sticks by me—because I don't even understand myself, let alone anyone else! Seriously, I'm just sharing my experience because I want to help you get your act together and stay calm. I wouldn't wish what I'm going through on anyone... |
Man, I am so sorry you're going through that, 😢. Thanks for the advice...

A single book isn't going to fix anything. I know exactly what kind of damage a group of agitated people can do to anyone standing in their way. Anxiety is spreading faster than any other emotion out there. It’s infectious. If you want to cheer someone up, there’s plenty of ways to do it, but you actually have to use your head and figure out what works for them. If you want to spread panic, you don't even need a brain. Just start freaking out and everyone around you will be losing their minds in no time.
Thanks, junkie. |
You're absolutely right. Whenever my friend starts losing her cool and raising her voice, I lose it too. Before you know it, we're both screaming at each other and just spiraling into a massive argument.🙄 Sometimes I really try to keep it together. Just once, when I was at my absolute breaking point, I actually attempted to be calm. I sat on the edge of the bed, closed my eyes, and tried those deep breathing exercises everyone talks about. It didn't work. Honestly, I felt like my head was going to explode if I didn't just let all that rage out right then and there. 😠 I just need to get this off my chest or I'm going to lose it. There is no other way for me to calm down.🙄 Look, like I already said, once I cool off, everything's going to be fine. Sometimes I even end up feeling bad about how I handled things. 🙄 Look, when I'm pissed off, I don't give a damn about anyone or anything. Period. 😁

Thanks for the tip. Honestly, I don't see how a book is going to do much for me right now. It’s always the same recycled advice anyway. 😁 I’ve got this feeling that I already know everything I need to know. I don't need anyone's stupid advice. 😛 Maybe there’s some hope left in this, or maybe I'll actually get some help. You never know. Either way, thanks again for the advice! 😉
Do you think genetics play a role in that kind of irritability?😠 😉
Thanks for the advice, everyone.
Heh, don't sweat it, it isn't 🙄🙂
I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with me for the last two years, but lately, it’s gone from bad to absolute nightmare. I feel like I'm losing my mind. For instance, if I need help finding something, I’ll beg my sister, but she just acts like she's oblivious, staring at the TV like I don't even exist.😢I am seriously losing it. I can't find anything, I'm begging her for help, and all she does is shrug and say "I don't know" before going back to her show. Then, after I've turned the entire apartment upside down, exhausted, and still haven't found the damn thing, I look over and see her sitting there all calm and unbothered while I'm on the verge of a breakdown. I end up screaming—and I mean *really* screaming, loud enough that the neighbors probably hear me. It pisses me off so much that I lose control; I'll charge at her, crying and screaming, wanting to lash out. And then she just sits there, stone-faced, telling me to calm down because we're "just being dramatic."😠Like, when I'm yelling... I lose it. My head starts pounding, I feel like I can't breathe, and I just black out for a second. Nobody cares, though. Everyone just calls me "the crazy one." Maybe I am, but I just want someone to actually help me. I want someone to sit down and talk to me for once instead of everyone running away from me like I'm some kind of freak. I calm down quickly and feel stupid for what I did, but it happens almost every single day. I get completely worked up and end up totally drained. It even happens first thing in the morning; sometimes I wake up already screaming because my family is fighting right next to me. That's my daily alarm clock, and it ruins my mood instantly.😠😢...basically, my family is a complete disaster. My parents aren't divorced, but they live in this constant state of war over money, and I'm stuck in the middle of their hell. It's nothing but shouting and insults. They always claim it doesn't affect me as much as it affects my sister, which is true, but I think I've completely snapped because of it. Not a single day goes by without a fight. There is zero peace in this house; as soon as things quiet down, another argument breaks out an hour later, even during dinner. We've even had the police show up a few times. :klap: Honestly, I don't even care about my parents' fighting—it's not like I'm suffering because of them specifically—but maybe it is affecting me more than I realize.🤷
I get along fine with my mom; I tell her everything and I love her, but it drives me insane how little she helps me when I'm spiraling. It just makes me angrier, and this cycle repeats every single day until I'm absolutely exhausted. I don't know how else to describe it, but it's brutal. Everything irritates me. Even people who are selfish or only care about themselves send my blood pressure through the roof. I'm thinking about seeing a child psychologist, so if anyone knows a good one, let me know. What do you guys think? Oh, and I'm 16.
