I would be quite interested to hear your perspective on this: what do you consider to be the most glaring examples of the legal system being undermined lately?

I find myself following these developments less frequently through news outlets, which frankly aren't always the most reliable sources, so I am eager to hear your professional insights as an attorney.

Would you mind sharing a few specific examples? I am genuinely curious to hear your perspective on this...

The specific party that happens to align with my principles is also, quite unfortunately, at the very top of the list when it comes to corruption. A significant portion of their members have spent years being dragged through the headlines and facing legal battles in court.

I honestly don't think people like that would ever allow me to climb the ranks within the party—especially if they caught wind that I’d much rather see them behind bars. 🙂

That is why I am searching for an alternative, though it proves to be quite a challenge given how limited the options truly are in this country...

If you were in my shoes, purely hypothetically, which way would you lean?

stormystag16 said:okay, most of them are definitely on the same wavelength, but there are still differences... I don't think anyone with half a brain would want to be part of a party that's sheltering Rojs and guys like him...

Now you see where I'm coming from, don't you?

I don't consider myself particularly aligned with the Liberal Party, so I intend to observe the situation a bit longer, though I must admit that I am quite impressed by the work being done by Mr. Ivan Čehok.

Given that Cleveland is one of the most prosperous cities in the USA, I believe Mr. Ivan Čehok could offer some truly valuable insights to other mayors—or rather, to the highest levels of our national leadership.

By the way, the Liberal Party has faded away entirely....

i mean, how on earth are you picking a party like that???
you could pretty much find a spot on either the far left or the far right if you wanted to...

honestly, i feel like most people jump into politics just to be opportunists, and the few who actually join because of ideals usually end up staying because of opportunism....

let's say you actually *do* have some ideals... well, if that's true, then you can't just flirt with the center, the left, and the right all at once.... you have to actually align with someone's worldview and offer them fresh ideas that don't fundamentally clash with the main current...

but if you're just motivated by the actual impact you could make, then go join one of the heavy hitters...

If you take a closer look... the red, the black, the leftists, the conservatives, the centrists... in America, it all seems to boil down to the exact same thing, doesn't it? It isn't as though the distinctions are glaringly obvious; personally, I struggle to see them at all.

Is it not strange that among all these mighty parties and representatives sitting in the US Congress, all claiming to hold diverse ideals and perspectives, not a single soul has ever truly stood up and said, "Alright, enough is enough!"?

Most people find it laughable when they see someone like Ivo Rojs on television making statements in front of the cameras—even right there in the halls of Congress—that will surely go down in modern history with lines like, "Whoever guaranteed it, guaranteed it..." and everyone just sits there smiling because they know exactly what he means, yet absolutely nobody does anything about it!

I am well aware that most people view him as nothing more than a clown, but I sincerely hope that people also grasp the gravity of such a statement and realize how much room there is for actual seriousness, rather than just finding it funny.

So, as I was saying, whether they are red, black, left, right, or centrist, all those differences represent a big zero to me.

Unfortunately, my only criteria are that the rule of law functions properly and that the nation experiences economic prosperity—goals that every single party has written into their own charters.

I’m hearing some buzz that things are actually picking up over at the Liberal Party—like they might be making some real moves lately. Check it out. Get yourself up to speed.

That sounds quite intriguing...👍

Once you realize you're, say, more right-leaning, you find the party whose platform fits best. Then you narrow it down and, if you still have the drive, sign up. Unless, of course, you have other motives for jumping into politics.

Jumping from a center-right Democratic Party to a hyper-local Democratic Party seems a bit pointless to me. Besides, the Democratic Party doesn't have national scandals because they've only held power symbolically once, so they haven't had the chance to mess up on a big scale yet.

We all know that the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are the only major players guaranteed to secure seats in the US Congress, yet neither of them is an option for me. I have absolutely no desire to be associated with criminals!

Voting for the Republican Party or the Democratic Party simply because they founded America, or because their grandfather was a partisan, a collaborator, or a radical, represents the most foolish reasoning I have ever encountered.

The second World War and the American Civil War are behind us; we really ought to be looking toward the future!

As for the Libertarian Party... ever since Ante Đapić allegedly stole the master's degree that the rest of us had to earn through sheer hardship, grueling work, sleepless nights, and endless exams, they are completely out of the question for me.

By doing this, I am also eliminating other right-wing options, as I fail to see any coherent ideas within them.

The whole situation feels somewhat like watching an old, poorly made movie where you already know every single line and can predict every plot twist.

My perspective is somewhat simple: unless you have already established a relatively stable and secure lifestyle, paired with a high-quality degree, there is little reason to enter the world of politics.
No offense intended, but if you happen to satisfy those two quick criteria I’ve just mentioned, you are likely either chasing rapid "success" through political appointments, or perhaps you are a blind idealist who will inevitably face a harsh reality check very soon. 😁

As for my own existence... well, let us say I have secured my housing situation and I possess a solid technical degree—one that was certainly sufficient for those working within the USA. 🙂

Ultimately, my point is that having worked abroad for quite some time, I find myself unable to wrap my head around the sheer amount of untapped potential this country possesses, yet it seems no one recognizes it or knows how to harness it.

Anyone who has lived overseas understands exactly what I am talking about.

Rather than simply sitting at home and complaining about the lack of fresh faces in our political landscape, I have decided to take the initiative and dive into the fray myself.

My first and only serious consideration was the Democratic Party. The other major players—the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Liberal Party, the Republican Party, and even the Libertarian Party—were completely off the table due to their endless cycle of scandals. To put it bluntly, those corrupt organizations, which function more like organized crime syndicates than political parties, were never an option for me.

The Democratic Party, on the other hand, seemed relatively free of such controversies—at least from what I could gather. However, after sending them an email containing some fundamental inquiries, I sat waiting, only to be met with total silence for over two weeks. That lack of responsiveness was enough to prompt a second follow-up, and when that too went unanswered, I realized I had to move on from them as well.

So, where does that leave me? Should I consider joining the Democratic Party instead?

And please, spare me the advice telling me to just give up; I am not backing down. Period.
