Since we all spent years losing ourselves in Izet Hajdarhodžić’s brilliant performances over at the local Coffee shop, I just have to quote that iconic final scene: Waiter..... coffee!

And please, stop complaining—with this ridiculous weather, it isn't even that warm out there...

🎉

Wait, what? It’s way too late for eggs—Easter was ages ago. Are we really going to spend the entire year obsessing over eggs and sweet excuses now? ☕

fadedcrane92 said:I'm right there with you. Between baking seven different kinds of cookies, prepping the Easter ham, dyeing eggs, and ironing holiday outfits... when am I supposed to find time to actually file my taxes with the IRS?!

Yeah, I totally blanked on the egg thing—my bad, consider this my public apology...

Just reporting the facts here—revenue is down 25% compared to last year, which was already 25% lower than the year before that, and so on. It’s a straight downward spiral. So, cheers to our fearless leaders and this whole "brilliant" administration!! They were actually the very first ones to pull the exact same stunts as everyone else—they're the reason we're stuck in this mess. We're basically just circling the drain at this point.

Note: If anyone (and I mean *if*...) manages to bail us out of this hole they dug for us, please send an email to this forum address. If there's actually someone left who's willing to read it...

So, after doing absolutely nothing all Friday afternoon, then taking Saturday off, followed by Easter, then the Easter Monday holiday, and then Tuesday... well, let's call Tuesday the "warm-up" day—how about we actually get a move on? Grab your pens and some scratch paper and start knocking out those final reports. Even God took a day off, so surely you guys can handle more than just five minutes of work?!? Honestly, it’s time to get to it!

Carol Price4 said:Oh, please—you'd find a way to talk even if you were choking, you just can't stay quiet.🤣

We love you too, though! Every time you drop by, you stir things up and shake the whole place awake—and you know what they say about making an entrance...😁

Muah!! So, the wife thinks I'm a donkey—well, let's be more accurate and say an old donkey—but now I've got proof that some people actually think a bit higher of me!! Moving from being a donkey to a horse... that's not nothing, right?

And Happy Birthday again, just so everyone knows, it's coming up in ten days!!

Henry Hernandez7 said:I’ve honestly never been more stoked about the mod lineup, even though I’m sticking around myself—nothing personal, Carol Price4😁. It’s a bummer that Lily P. isn't moderating anymore, though; truly a shame. I mean, who’s gonna have my back now when I inevitably start rambling on about nothing? 😢

No worries, it’s entirely possible this new group might be even more intense... It feels like I can't even breathe without getting flagged.

It just hit me... I actually love our moderators, even if they are a total handful—absolute chaos, pure intimidation, and just a whole lot of attitude. But honestly? We probably should have invented them in the first place. I mean, who else would keep the "regular characters" around here from biting each other's heads off??

Carol Price4 said:See how easily I can get you talking? 🤣

I knew exactly how to get you fired up enough to drop some wisdom, 😁

I’ve been struggling with this for three days now. I'm just sitting here waiting for an answer because I have no idea what might happen—since it's a two-part form (though these flimsy things are starting to feel more like single sheets lately, especially since they rarely use them given how high the federal filing fees are) and I don't have a third backup. They're just waiting for me to pass out from the stress.

But hey... word on the street is that the IRS is running low on work, so to keep themselves busy, they might start handing out fourth copies. Rumor has it they'll be bright yellow, or maybe a vivid red, covered in tiny little violet patterns. You know, just to showcase the sheer "grandeur" of our tiny—okay, let's call it micro, or even nano—economy.

Well, I guess you all finally know who's calling the shots now—the one in charge of handing out justice. Honestly, we haven't quite figured it all out yet... one minute I’m getting lectured with a ruler, and the next, it feels like I'm being scolded with a frying pan—good grief! I'm just looking for someone big and tough to step in, someone who can actually keep things under control!

Still though... I have to ask: what should I do with my supply of two-ply? It's the same stuff I've always used, or should I...??

Go ahead and show her some support—honestly, who knows if she even realizes the kind of mess she’s stepped into?

Henry Edwards33 said:I’m basically a zombie today. My brain hasn't even checked in for work yet, let alone actually showed up. 😢

Coffee... Pancakes... 🤤

Don't sweat it, those are just the side effects. It usually takes about two or three years to really feel like yourself again after dealing with that whole hormonal mess. You'll get through this, don't worry...

Henry Edwards33 said:Awwwwwwww 😍

Why stop at just a few more sensitive letters? 🤷 🤣

Trust me, some people would absolutely lose their minds if they saw this 🥳

I’m planning to keep dropping by for a coffee with you all every once in a while. It’s nice having a spot to hang out without any pressure, just keeping things casual 😉

Come on now, are there really no guys hanging out here??

How does that rental income section work in the supplemental info?
I can’t for the life of me remember how I filed it last year to make it stick.
Just spinning my wheels with these tax forms... zero progress. 🤷
I think you dealt with something similar last year, too.

I think I get the gist—so the company basically rents its own buildings back from itself?? Man, I’d love to see how that actually plays out...

Richard Howard55 said:lili p.! 😍

is it just me, or did your username change color????????
Get that hair dyed immediately!!!!!
That shade suits you better (and I prefer it too, 🙂).

Or maybe we're all just doomed? We can barely manage to see our own families here, let alone anything else.
My folks are already on my case. They want me home in the real world, not stuck in this virtual one.

I keep thinking about turning a new leaf—one with fewer Google searches, fewer sales taxes, fewer income taxes, fewer IP addresses... maybe then I'll actually look back on this with some fondness... though probably not.🙂

Once finals are over, I’m seriously considering a change in "perspective." There’s wisdom in that old saying: less is more. 😁

I won't need to change my handle... just start taking it seriously (both the imagery and the content).

Just leave her alone for a second—let her actually process the mess she just escaped! I mean, honestly, it’s like you’re acting as if you haven't dealt with all that same nonsense and craziness from certain... well, you know who. She deserves a win here. Instead of worrying about her "clout" or whatever, we should probably just be happy she's focusing on what actually puts money in her pocket.

amberdrifter14 said:So, you're already succumbing to that Southern temperament, are you? 😁

Where did this sudden sense of self-importance come from? 🤣😂😂

Oh, come on—I know exactly why she made that move... and honestly, I think she realized a few things a little too late. But hey, it is what it is now. She'll adjust, don't you worry!
Virtual Coffee Break - Chat in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
amberdrifter14 said:Hahahaha, and here I was thinking there must be some kind of catch somewhere. 🤣

But seriously, what could the catch even be??
Virtual Coffee Break - Chat in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I just had a sudden thought, so I figured I’d jot this down... Honestly, Devilgirl is an absolute lifesaver. Whenever I run into a snag, I just shoot her an email, and she gets right back to me...

It really makes me wonder: where on earth were you all those years when I was struggling through this? Back when I'd write ten-page essays just to get ten different, confusing responses...

Thanks so much—you've truly made my life a whole lot easier.

And look, it wasn't even out of spite—it was just pure relief to realize I’m not the only one who can't believe how much this whole Apsurdistan thing is falling apart. Honestly, I spent the entire day yesterday 🙂

Now, they're probably going to sit down and write some massive, deep-dive essay about it 😁

Heh, well—it looks like I hit the nail on the head. Not a single one of you stepped up to say anything... guess I was right after all?

Listen, ladies, just as a precaution—maybe take a quick look at your measurements, specifically around the hips and..., well, you know what I mean—and then MAYBE you can think about diving into those cookies and sweets. But honestly, looking at everyone I've seen around here lately, I feel like I should give you a heads-up that those numbers might have crept up a little. So, please, be careful with what you're doing on this forum. It’s not like it's Christmas every single day!!
