Angela Wright said:That burning sensation climbing up behind your sternum sounds like classic reflux. You’re likely dealing with GERD or gastroesophageal reflux. We actually have an entire dedicated thread on the forum covering this specific misery. Honestly, it might not be a bad idea to see a gastroenterologist for a full workup to rule out things like H. pylori. Now, GERD itself isn't linked to your wisdom tooth or joint pain, but if you have a bacterial infection stemming from that damn wisdom tooth, that could absolutely trigger inflammatory arthritis, which is nasty business because it can permanently wreck your cartilage. Check out the details here and make sure to press your doctor to look into this!
In any case, that wisdom tooth needs to come out ASAP.

Given how much caffeine and high-octane energy drinks I’ve been slamming lately, GERD wouldn't even be a surprise. I know I shouldn't be loading up on that stuff, but honestly, I feel like I physically cannot function without those—dare I say—liquid garbage fuels. So, what am I supposed to ask for? Am I asking them to run throat and nasal swabs or what? How do they actually detect bacteria; doesn't it show up on a standard CBC? My CRP level was at 197, while 200 is the threshold—I forget the exact name of the test, it’s usually done alongside the inflammation markers. How did my doctor not suspect a bacterial issue? Once, I tried Googling my symptoms and, good grief, it felt like I was reading a catalog of every cancer known to man. And please, try to stay sane when something else starts aching every single day. 🙂 As for the wisdom tooth, they’re estimating the surgery won't happen until October. I seriously don't think I can hold out that long; I'm going to collapse. Between the stress and work, it's too much. Does anyone know where I can get this procedure done privately in Indianapolis? Also, wouldn't Klavocin clear up a bacterial infection? Wouldn't that do the trick? Sorry for venting, I really am, but I'm losing my mind here and I feel like I have no one to turn to since everyone in this city seems completely checked out!
Folks, please forgive the long-winded post ahead of time.

Basically, my entire ordeal started back at the beginning of this year. It all kicked off with these constant, swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I’d take a round of antibiotics, things would settle down, and then we’d be right back where we started. Then, the pain in my lower jaw on the right side started—and let me tell you, it was absolutely agonizing. A few months later (thanks to some rather indifferent doctors), it turns out the culprit is an impacted Apple. Because everything has been such a mess, the tooth managed to partially break through, but... for the last month, every single joint in my body has been aching; I feel completely numb and twitchy. One minute I'm burning up, the next I'm freezing. Shoulders, hands, hips—everything. I actually went to the ER, but they basically sent me packing because I wasn't "life-threateningly" ill. The doctor there suggested I just stick to caffeine and ibuprofen. So, I did, and now I’m dealing with this: a sensation like a searing burn behind my breastbone, almost like heartburn, but it isn't. It feels exactly like fire is traveling up my throat and scorching me. It’s calmed down slightly, thank God. But keep in mind—my joints are hurting constantly; they aren't swollen, but the throbbing just won't quit. For about a week, I had this sharp, stabbing pain under my left ribs, which is easing up a bit now that I’m on Klavocin. I also get this strange feeling in my chest, like little lumps, though I can't be sure. Maybe I've just lost my mind and I'm imagining it. My dentist prescribed the Klavocin because, as you might have guessed, my Apple has become abscessed. In the meantime, I had a full blood panel done—perfect. I also ran tests for rheumatic markers (those came back negative), though my CRP is slightly elevated. The limit is 10, and I’m sitting at 12. I traveled to Indianapolis to see the maxillofacial specialists at the Mayo Clinic, but my appointment isn't until July 2nd... I should mention that out of everything happening, the damn tooth is actually the least painful part. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Is it truly possible for an Apple to wreck my entire system like this, or am I looking at something much more serious? I haven't lost weight, I'm eating like there's no tomorrow, and I'm not exhausted—it's just that everything hurts. Please, don't hold back on suggestions, but I beg you—do not just tell me to go to the doctor. I have been trying to do exactly that, but no one is taking me seriously. I'm not a hypochondriac; I haven't been to a doctor for anything in YEARS before this. Thanks 😢

ps. The Apple actually displaced my temporomandibular joint—essentially caused a luxation.
I’ve also tested negative for HIV and hepatitis. I honestly don't know what to do anymore.
