I have a question. If women are ruthless when competing at work, does that automatically mean men are honest? Does it imply men aren't using dirty tactics or low blows, since those are typically labeled as "feminine" traits? And what about the bosses who sleep with their secretaries? I suppose that’s considered fine because even the old nobility used to exploit their maids. Look at the witch hunts. Those women were branded as witches simply because they refused to submit. It's obvious. So, are we saying men have improved over the centuries while women have regressed? Regarding the guy complaining that men aren't admitted to the Women's Studio—that program is run by women. I don't see why a man would focus on women's issues unless he was a lawyer.

Casey Vaughn7 said:That is exactly how feminism is perceived; women have started being defiant at every turn, and the media just blows every little thing out of proportion.

I already mentioned this. Feminism isn't just one single thing like Sanja Saranavka. There are radical versions and much milder ones. I suspect emancipation hasn't actually helped these women; it just brought complications into their lives. That's what happens when you stay superficial and refuse to do the research.

Just change what you can control. Start with yourself, your family, and your own circle... getting worked up over the state of society isn't helping anyone!

If it bothers you that much, why even show up? I just don't get that type of person.
Joshua Adams41 said:This is just another tired stereotype to me. I haven't noticed that these so-called "party girls" have any trouble picking a life partner; if anything, they tend to come out on top more often than not.
The catch is that once they marry, they get treated based on their past—usually by his family—and that's where the real friction starts.

And who is creating this myth about the "experienced player" anyway? It's usually nothing more than some woman's word. Honestly, most guys care way more about money and status than whether or not a girl has a long list of exes from the local bars.

It doesn't matter to them. Why would they be killed off by impotence or a sudden collapse? Though, unlike women, they don't tend to go into much detail about those things.

My issue is with treating this trend as some sort of massive win for women. Not every woman fits the mold of "divorced mother," for instance. Some are grandmothers, some are aunts, and some were once those very children themselves.

This isn't a victory for anyone. Legal disputes should be settled based on the specific facts of a case, not just following "standard practice." And let's be clear: this isn't a triumph of the feminist movement. It is, rather, a byproduct of a patriarchal view regarding maternal roles combined with systemic inertia and indifference. Is that clearer? I have a nagging feeling I'm repeating myself, and if I start quoting my own previous posts, we'll have a real problem.

Maybe you didn't mention that kids are intentionally assigned to mothers. I just wrote that as a quick heads-up so we wouldn't be left in the dark.

goldenranger5 said:You missed the point entirely. If we completely removed women from the equation, yes, biological fathers would likely be prioritized over any other male relative or non-biological father regardless of their circumstances—but that’s not what we are debating, is it?

We are discussing why custody is assigned to mothers rather than fathers. Again, it comes down to the glorification of the maternal ROLE.

Not that I am claiming that is any better than the glorification of the paternal role (take, for instance, certain societies structured under Sharia law).

Quite the opposite; I am not asserting that someone's role—which is often just a collection of circumstances—makes them inherently qualified for anything, or more qualified than anyone else.

Simply put, suggesting that this twisted manifestation of patriarchal thought (heavily influenced by dominant religious structures) serves as proof that women aren't facing discrimination is illogical.

Women are more than just mothers. Once again, the distinction is glaringly obvious.

If you lived in a world that signaled your second-class citizenship through thousands of minor and major ways every single day, but kept insisting that AS LONG AS you eventually have kids and AS LONG AS you get divorced, things might somehow turn out rosy, it wouldn't seem quite so subtle.

It looks like you didn't read my post.

To those men claiming that kids are intentionally being handed over to their mothers, let me set the record straight. Not too long ago, a ten-year-old could already have a say in which parent they lived with; nowadays, that age has moved up to thirteen. Under current laws, a child is only assigned to the father if the mother is dealing with serious issues like addiction or severe mental illness.

Andrew Mendoza10 said:Look, there was definitely a time when fighting for women's rights was necessary. That mission was accomplished—and honestly, the more useless those movements become, 🤷 the better. No amount of activism from any feminist is going to change the minds of a few stubborn, small-town folks. Maybe I just have a skewed perception of feminism, but I can't help blaming Vedrana Rudan for that; she acts as their unofficial spokesperson. If she’s the standard-bearer, then my reaction whenever I encounter a feminist will be 🙂. Let me be clear: I have nothing against independent women, nor do I believe a woman should just sit at home waiting for her husband to return from hunting bears 🤣

You wouldn't believe it, but a woman can take down a bear—not that anyone actually tries to fight one barehanded. People tend to view feminism solely through the lens of B.A.B.E., using Katie Couric as the only representative, and that’s just wrong. Feminism includes voices like Oprah Winfrey and Anderson Cooper too. Relying on a single person to define an entire movement is absurd.

Fact 2: The crowd at Madison Square Garden is always a total mess.
...Fact 3: So, I was just playing around a bit.. 😁

Look, there’s no reason to feel bad about being a woman. That's just who you are, so own it..
But honestly, I'd love it if you could actually walk me through your reasoning.... maybe back it up with some specific Quotes or actual descriptions.. hh

So, what you're saying is I need to go create a copy of certain threads. For instance, there is one over on the Politics board that is actually wild—it deals with abuse and the whole debate regarding the legalization of killing from a female perspective.

It seems like a bunch of threads have been sparked lately, all centered around these PDFs that basically categorize women as nothing but trash. It looks like being female is being treated as the ultimate misfortune. I suppose that’s why so many people celebrate when they find out they’re having a son. Honestly, this whole mess probably traces back to Adam. But why such sweeping generalizations? Does this criticism apply to older generations, or just the younger ones? Is it meant to be universal? Should I feel ashamed simply because I am a woman? And why are feminists constantly being belittled? Would these critics actually prefer if things hadn't changed—if women were still stuck at home without any rights at all?
